Biltmore Nail Bar, Phoenix AZ

I have been going to this nail bar frequently, however I was extremely disappointed this last visit. I requested a chrome manicure, and despite choosing the colour on the swatch, the end result was very different. The lady who attended to me was extremely slow, almost cut my skin off when trimming cuticles, her filing was not the shape I requested, and the colour was not what I requested either. It looked like I didn’t get my nails done at all. When I complained, they just added on a fourth coat and extra chrome powder which didn’t really help. I was traveling the next day for two weeks, and am super disappointed with the result that I’m gonna be stuck with for my vacation. Also, the middle finger is smudged. Not sure how this is supposed to be Pearl white chrome - it’s not.

Please do NOT support this establishment! This is my nails after 6 days! And I paid $175 for this plus a pedicure! Total rip off!
Worst part about the entire experience is they asked me why did I select liquid gel AFTER it was already applied and then told me it wasn’t a good option! Again this was all mentioned towards the end of the service! Why are you offering anything that’s “not a good option” and clearly doesn’t last.you reap what you sow!

They go fast and furious on my pedicure and nails, poor job and charge so much and when I ask them to fix one nail they get upset and talking about me in their language.

Can hardly see it but the person that did my nails rushed through it. She didn’t do my cuticles right and she didn’t do even coatings. Everyone that’s seen my nails thinks I did them myself… that’s how bad they are. She was too busy stopping to talk to her coworkers and be on her phone that she didn’t do these correctly.

I thought Jennifer was great and was looking forward to coming back to see her but after receiving bad information on price, and no empathy after spending over $150 in two days here I will not be returning or no longer recommending this as an option for guests at our hotel.

I had my toes done Tuesday and on Thursday was charged $35 more dollars to switch the color bc it came out darker than expected. Total I spent $158 before tip for two services with no acrylics. The money is not the issue but the fact that I was told the polish change would be no problem and then charged so much for it doesn’t sit right with me and there was no attempts made to compromise or to make it right for a returning regular client. Clearly customer service is not a priority or interest here.

There are many many options in the area which I will send myself and my hotel guests to moving forward. Luxe Nail bar down the road does great work and works better customer service wise.

Requested for SNS dip with tip, wanted a red color… once I got home I noticed two nails the paint was chipping off. I went back the next morning, they fixed the two and now 2 days later I have another nail with paint chipping as well! I paid 66 dollars the most ever for SNS plus tip to have to come back and then again have it happen. I asked for an extra gel coat across all nails but no they only fixed the 2 of course.

Also had a pedicure done by the rudiest man ever. He had a terrible cough and never covered his month. This is an area with nice clientele you need to train your staff or hire new staff. You are completely ripping people off.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Truly hire some of the best nail techs in the valley. The quality of each service I receive is always top shelf.

Worst experience the guy who did my manicure was falling asleep while doing my nails, the last that did my husbands pedicure was horrible

I experienced racist or stereotypical comments from the nail technician Theresa. While getting my nails I was having small talk with Theresa letting her know I'm from Arizona but some of my family is from Korea and other parts from Philly. Theresa then made the comment "you don't look Korean". I am assuming she said this because I am also black. Either way I ignored the comment and she continued to say that "black and Vietnamese (Vietnamese being her nationality that she mentioned to me earlier) are not a good mix" "ugly mix" she stated in fact repeatedly. Then she stated "white and Vietnamese" very beautiful. Shocked, embarrassed, and confused I just listened further. She also stated that one of her coworkers has black/Vietnamese but they are not allowed to date black people. Embarrassed that someone is even making these statements while doing my nails, I stayed and continued to get them done out of fear of being looked at in a more stereotypical manner. I didn't want to cause a scene because it was my birthday and only wanted my nails done for the day. Paid went home and felt horrible that I did nothing and actually paid someone to insult me. I called the owner and she stated that Theresa didn't mean to say what she said, and she attempted to put her on the phone with me for whatever reason. After telling her that is not a legitimate solution and I would rather have a refund and never come back she said "I am pulling the race card and every where I get my nails done I should not do that and remember this moment". So that is her response to racist remarks in the workplace. I'm told I am a liar and threatened that other shops will know about me. So I did do a Better Business Bureau Review as well as this one. BTW there are cameras in this nail salon, if she really wanted to do her due diligence she should look at those. This whole experience made me feel as though i should record my interactions with these businesses due to the level of shadyness. With all that said I hope you make informed choices about where you do services I definitely learned a lesson and WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RACIST ESTABLISHMENT.

FANTASTIC salon! 10/10. If you need dip, Anthony is your man. If you need hard gel, Quang is your man. Best nails in the valley, hands down I’ve never been this happy about a set. The establishment is super clean and runs very smoothly.

Would not recommend. I have tried them twice for a gel manicure. First time rushed and rude. 2nd time tried a manicurist (wont name her) that I observed being nice on my first trip. Well sadly she must have been having a bad day when she did mine. Her French gel manicure was not good. She kept asking me is this what I want i had in mind, even though I kept showing her a photo of what i wanted. She still couldn't get it right. She didnt remove the existing gel and looks lumpy. Not happy both times.

My nail tech Ruby is very talented and she deserves a raise! I always request her. I’ve had others previously and was not happy. If you like a clean salon and wonderful nails please ask for Ruby. No lift nails, perfect designs all the time and knows me and my preferences always.

More expensive than most other nail places in the area but worth it. Great quality, clean, doesn't have that lacquer smell that some have.

Had a $70 pedicure. She rubbed my leg with one hand and texted with the other. One toenail is square.the other round. Asked for water.but never got
it. Definitely not going back

Worst nails i’ve ever gotten.i got a full set and they didn’t ask what shape i wanted and didn’t even file them to look nice.then when getting them painted they didn’t paint them to look nice either.none of the nails are even or are what wanted.do not recommend this place.

I requested but they wouldn’t do a mani pedi at same time even though enough staff. Polish choices were limited and the one I used was old, got the worst mani I’ve had in years. Cut me too. Had to go somewhere else to redo.

This salon is horrific. I repeat HORRIFIC. I have been getting my nails done acrylic for 15 years and gel strictly for the last 6. I strayed away from my usual salon to go here with friends. I got an acrylic full set and gel French manicure. The first day, my thumb nail broke with barely any force.two days later, all the gel began to peel and bubble pockets started to crack. I went back in to have my nails repaired and was treated poorly.they made me wait 30 minutes to have two different techs repair my nails which took TWO HOURS to fix three nails (one new acrylic and two new paint jobs). I went here two years ago and had a horrible experience then during my first visit and am upset with myself I gave them another chance. Will most definitely never return.

I love Biltmore nail Bar. Very clean facility. Very friendly and professional staff. Only place I will go now. It’s also very trendy not your average nail place. Give it a go. I see Quan excellent nail tech by far.

I have been here twice. The first time for a gel manicure. The lady was downright rude. I told her I did not want the dip polish (which I currently was removing) and wanted to try gel. She kept telling me over and over again how bad gel was and I should go with the dip. I literally had to fight with her over what I wanted. Then she was in a bad mood. The entire time she was working on my nails she was looking around the room and not at me or my nails. Awkward!

I decided to try it again thinking it was just the woman who helped me. I went in for a pedicure and this gal talked me into the more expensive pedicure. First off, she never wore gloves the entire time. Rougher than a man on clipping nails and working on cuticles. Even though she said she has been doing nails for 23 years in AZ she could not speak a word in English. She had to redo the polish twice since she kept ruining it. The wooden stick she used to clean the excess polish off my toes, cut me because she was pressing it in so hard. When she told me I was done I said I didn't get the hot stone massage part. Literally went and got 2 rocks and dry slid them up and down my legs a few times and said "There". I also paid $20 more than the normal place I go and it was half as good.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is a beautiful salon and clean.

I will never go back!
