Block has been doing my taxes for several years either as an in-person client or online with tax help from one of your professionals remotely. You are always available, accurate, and exude a high level of competence.

Made the trip for no reason, advised the secretary that moving costs were the only reason that I was coming in. Found out when I got there that you cannot claim moving costs unless you are in the military.

Jeff is thorough and personable. He approaches the completion of taxes with the clients best interest while still maintaining ethics. I choose H&R Block because I value Jeff's expertise. I would not choose H&R Block if he were not there because of the billing structure used by H&R Block. H&R Block charges for certain tax preparations based on the hardest and longest possible need for the individual who needs that service. Some people need a certain service for a simple matter, yet are charges the same fee as someone who needed a more detailed preparation. I think that H&R Block would gain more customers if extra services needed to prepare a person's taxes had tiered charge structure, e.g. Easy, moderate, extensive, instead of charging every person for extensive.

In the past we had to pay much more for half the services leading us to go to online tax filing. This year brought about questions that we couldn't answer. I called around an Kim was the first person who wasn't rude or too tired to schedule an appt. We sent Jeff Hooper all documents requested via online. This method made it easy and efficient. We sat down with Jeff and learned it was already completed and it felt more like visiting a friend. The cost was well worth the chance of having someone do them for us. We will continue to use Jeff in the future. The peace of mind we left with is priceless.

Our first visit to Block Advisors ended up being more expensive than the previous year using H&R Block. That said, the preparer vast experience was far above what we had experienced during previous H&R Block service appointments.

This was our first time not using turbo tax, and Jaques was amazing to work with! He took his time while we had 5 w2s, and an unemployment 1099g which we couldn't find the identification number for, and he went out of his was to get it for us so we could complete everything.
