They took really good care of our baby girl. Yes, the wait is long. However, it is for good reason. Critical comes first! I would want them to have taken our baby in first if she had been in critical condition. I would have waited however many hours needed for our baby to be seen. The prices are fair, given they are an emergency room I expected to pay more than we did. We will definitely be bringing our dogs there if it is needed again. Very satisfied with the level of care and service we received!

The staff at Blue Pearl was amazing. I had taken my cat in with a few concerns which ultimately turned into needing emergency surgery that night or else my cat would have not made it. The front desk ladies were the most compassionate and the doctor was honest about the situation, which was needed, but still kind. The tech who was helping us was wonderful in helping break down costs and navigate finances since we all know, hospitals are not cheap. I would love to recommend this hospital to others but the one thing that makes me refrain is the overnight tech who was to take care of my cat. I had asked to speak to her to ask a few questions before leaving my cat overnight, since we would be switching over from the wonderful tech we had prior. I was clearly in distress and this tech made me feel worse, she was cold and had no compassion. When I began to ask a question regarding if there was another reason to my cat's low blood pressure she quickly cut me off with "no it's because she's sick" in a harsh tone. I was taken back and sat there for a few minutes until she rudely asked if I had any other questions and dismissed me, telling me if there's nothing left then I can leave. I wish I could remember her name (the name Jasmine pops into mind but I'm unsure) but I do remember she wore glasses, had a nose piercing, and pink colored scrubs. After that interaction, I didn't feel comfortable leaving my cat in her care for the night and thankfully, I didn't. I ended up returning to pick her up and transferring her to a different hospital.

I want to thank the Blue Pearl staff for the kindness they showed when I brought in an elderly pup that showed up at my door. They scanned him and ran vitals and made sure he wasn't injured or in medical need. Still trying to find the owner but I appreciate how helpful and kind they were. Thank you ***update: owners were found! ***

Edit: We took our foster dog on a recent separate occasion and received the same care and compassion as we did the first time. Amazing staff!

We were treated with compassion and courtesy from the moment we walked in the door. Our pup was immediately triaged and the technician was very clear with us on the wait times. After hours of monitoring, we were provided with 3 treatment plans, ranging from low, mid and high. We are so grateful for how we were treated, our pup was treated and how everyone who came in after us was treated. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of our boy.

Best vet services and experience I had for my li’l dog “roxy”. My pet is feeling well now after rushing her to the emergency last weekend due to suspicion of heat exhaustion. The staff took care of her upon arrival, veterinarian is in house to treat and explained details to me about roxy’s outcome and medication. After hour care is readily available from trained and helpful staff. Good job guys, roxy is back to her normal self now, we’re happy with your care. Thanks!

We were referred to the Peoria location when our beloved dog Banjo began have what we thought were seizures in the very early hours of the morning Sunday. The staff came out immediately and helped him onto the gurney to bring him in for examination. The staff was on top of updates and communication from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, our Banjo was destined to cross the Rainbow Bridge and Dr. Herrera along with the staff were so compassionate and empathetic for the entire process. While losing a member of the family is never an easy thing, the staff here made every effort and comfort for our dog and compassion for us in grieving. Thank you team!

Do NOT take your pets to Blue Pearl animal hospital. Last night, my dog fell into our pool and was unconscious when we got her out. We frantically called Blue Pearl asking them for instructions on how to give her CPR. They refused to tell us saying that we had to bring her in. I BEGGED for them to please tell me because she wasn’t awake, she wasn’t breathing, and it would take us at least 20 minutes to get to their hospital. She said “I’m sorry I can’t tell you how to do it. You need to bring her in”. We hung up and desperately looked up YouTube videos on how to perform CPR on a dog.

After a few minutes, she finally woke up and started breathing on her own. We brought her to AVECCC where we had to make the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize her.

I will never forgive Blue Pearl for their lack of compassion when we desperately needed it the most. It disgusts me knowing that a simple act of guidance from them could have potentially made a difference in our dog’s life. But, they don’t care because all they care about is money. F U Blue Pearl.

My elderly mom and I took her dog today to this location and if I could give you 100 stars I would you all treated my mom and her dog with the utmost respect for the situation I want to thank all of you that worked on 7/18/23 for your kindness and compassion this was the hardest thing my mom has had to do and it was peaceful thank you all!

We took our beloved cat Batman here. They were an open hospital on an early saturday morning. Batman had been in/out of our veterinarian ofc for urine blockage on meds for a few weeks, and they weren't helping.his health was declining.we came to BP, and they said we could keep doing all the procedures again or we could euthanize, we chose euthanasia. We had our children w/us, they gave us a private room immediately to be w/him for final moments.they didn't rush us. They gave us note cards to write to Batman that would go with him in cremation.
BP staff & vet created a beautiful opportunity for our family in this devastating circumstance.
My kids were so grateful.also had we decided to go through more medical procedures. They were quick to give options w/fees & the amount of time Batman would've stayed in the hospital.i like that they were straightforward, so we could consider what we could afford or if we were comfortable putting Batman through more procedures.

Has to take. My dog here and I regret it fully my dog has seizure and they prescribed seizure medicine and she took it the first month and when I went to get refill on it they denied it and told me. I had to bring her back in for. Visit to get but a prescription and then they could fill it but I had already been seen for. That there they just wanna take all the money you got they horrible and they are liars

Just don't go there. I went with my cat at 5 pm Sunday and they said I have to wait 3 or 4 hours and after 7 hours waiting they still didn't know what's going on with my cat. After 4 am in the morning they said they need to do some examens to get to know what happened. It was so crazy. At the end they didn't know and only just give some hydrating injections for my cat. And I paid almost 400 dollars for that. Unbelievable.

My son and I made a decision on 6/11/2023 when my 17 years old dog needed to be looked at to see if the Rainbow Bridge was the next step. The vet on duty was so helpful, kind, compassionate, understanding and caring, outstanding service for a difficult time for us,

I had to take my 14 year old dog in to be put down. He was not well it was his time. Blue Pearl staff were so kind and caring. We didn't have to wait even though the waiting room was full. The staff took care of my dog and were so considerate at this time in his life. I will recommend this facility to everyone. Blue Pearl made this transition so much easier to handle.

This was the most compassionate vet I have ever been to. My Great Dane was very old and sick, and had to make the hardest decision of my life to put him down. They gave me all the time I needed with him before and after. The female vet was by far the most caring doctor I have ever met. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know what I would have done. And being a Great Dane owner herself, she was more than I could ask for in caring for my dog. Thanks again

The receptionist at Blue Pearl could not be nicer or more compassionate. Their pricing was much more reasonable than expected for being an emergency hospital. In fact, their pricing for cremation and paw remembrance were less expensive than my veterinarian. So grateful for the receptionist during my time of sorrow
