This is a place for elite coaching. I’ve been training at this gym since it opened and I can tell you that the instructors and the members of this team train at a very high level. The owners and Head Instructor of the academy are very kind and loving people. It’s a great family environment and the kids program is excellent.

Absolutely LOVE this place and the people! Walked in the first day and felt at home. Sadiq welcomed us and introduced us to everyone. Then we met everyone there and were treated very well!

It has the “Rocky style” gym feel! Everyone is friendly and there to help everyone get better even my boys love it and look forward to going! It’s like one big family! This was a huge deal for me because I wanted to join the gym where I could spend time with my kids and have them grow alongside me this is a perfect environment for kids and adults and has been an amazing Bonnie experience and the kids love Sadiq! I do to! Great great guy!

The ENTIRE STAFF is caring, educational, knowledgable, helpful, and down right treats you like family. I've been taking my 5 year old son, and 7 year old daughter to Blue Star for a year now and I can't imagine going to another studio. There is ZERO intimidation coming here. Sadiq is an amazing human and puts all his students needs above his own, he also takes every opportunity to give the one on one instruction to the fullest. I've been involved with Jiu-Jitsu or Grappling for a very long time. A regret of mine is not meeting my Professor at a young age. In the Jiu-Jitsu scene you'll usually run into political shenanigans. Professor Sadiq Walt Daniels welcomed me with open arms and didn't question or mock my past training. Be ready to train. Leave your ego at home.

Coach Sadiq is the best hands down! I was trying to find something for my boys to do, 10 and 4, and was having a hard time doing so. No one wanted to take my 4 year old and my 10 year old didn’t match with anyone else. He was gentle and timid. His personality didn’t fit with a lot of other coaches. Coach Sadiq took both of them and helped develop their character, instilling discipline in my 4 year old and boosting my 10 year old’s confidence. He transforms to fit what each child needs. Both him and his wife, coach Dana, are always trying to help in anyway they can. It would be beneficial to both you and your children to try out this school. You won’t be disappointed.

Best jiu jitsu gym I have ever gone to I could go on and on. The hospitality and treatment is top notch and I would recommend.

Best grappling gym I’ve ever been to love the atmosphere. The coach is truly amazing man and there’s a lot of good genuine people felt very welcomed and I love it. I definitely recommend it to anyone getting into jujitsu.

This place has been a godsend for my family. My husband and all 4 of my kids have been students (currently 3 now!) almost since the beginning. This is an amazing place for kids to come and learn grappling, Jiu Jitsu and fitness- but not only that, life lessons as well. My kids leave learning how to defend themselves but also carry themselves as decent human beings. Coach Sadiq loves his students and makes it known we are his family. He would give the shirt off his back for you and loves his Jiu Jitsu family deeply and is a fierce protector of them. He’s very technical and your kids (and significant others, adult friends). Will leave here with solid tools in their toolbox. You will be welcomed as family here and taught well

I have been training with Sadiq for 7 almost 8 years and keep coming back because he is a good friend and teacher. The level of training you get here is world class.

Attention parents who are hesitant in placing their kids in Judo classes, hopefully this puts your nerves at ease. Sadiq is AMAZING. He takes his classes very seriously but from the moment you walk in the door it’s all family oriented vibes. The coach and his wife, the students, and other parents all make you so welcome, the students take initiative to support your new student and help train, the parents are also very supportive. I one thousand percent recommend BlueStarr Grappling, it is all good vibes, serious work, great teaching and training techniques that WORK. I have had days where I needed to bring my 6 month old baby and while I feel overwhelmed sometimes with her behavior Sadiq makes me feel better about it being okay and he has his class under control. I absolutely love being there, my husband loves being there as a student, i cannot stress enough that it’s the place to be.

The level of instruction at this school has leveled up my game in a number of ways. Everyone is welcoming and knowledgeable.

My son has been going to Bluestarrr for 6 years. He is now a freshman in high school, a varsity wrestler and as a 13 year old could handle himself against grown men.
