Borderlands Brewing Company, Tucson AZ

I actually had this one confused with Thunder Canyon, but I'm glad I made that mistake! Great beer and the bar staff are great with yaking and making everyone comfortable. My favorite was there is a huge "No Children" sign above a chair and a young kid was sitting in it - it was funny to see.

Great service, decent location and interesting beer selection. The staff was friendly and there is plenty of seating indoors and out. They even have a kid free dog free section in the back for those wanting a more private atmosphere. I came here with my 2 year old and enjoyed the main indoor seating area. Being next to the train tracks was great in my situation because my little one loved watching the freight trains go by behind the building. The feel and decor is rustic and fit the bill for a place called borderlands. They had a small food menu but I did not partake. Beers were hit or miss for me. I don’t like reviewing breweries in taste alone as it is so personal but I’d say there’s a beer here for every taste preference. I personally enjoyed the churro double ipa a lot. Their base, always on tap, selection is well balanced and I’ve had it on a previous occasion. Definitely worth stopping here whether you’re a first time or local.

Great beer and atmosphere! Be aware of rainy days, but other than that it’s a great spot. Really good beer!

Fun, friendly brewery with a wide selection of styles. Horchata Cream Ale and German Chocolate Cake Porter are a couple of my faves. Sat on the patio this evening to enjoy the Space Drafts event hosted there. Patio has heaters for Tucson nights as well as sunshades for our daytime weather. Indoors has a variety of seating available from standard tables to hightops to couches.

Really enjoyed my visit to Borderlands yesterday. Got to pop in for a few tasters before the concert and wasn't disappointed. If you don't want to chill on the huge patio, there are plenty of areas to keep yourself entertained - tv's, video games and standard bar games like pool. Tuesday is Sonoran Dog night so I had to check that out as well.it hit the spot! Great vibe, good service and cans to go. I'll be back!

I was last in AZ 7 years ago and I visited Tucson while in AZ again specifically for Borderlands and it’s bocce ball courts - that’s what really made the brewery unique to me. Unfortunately, they killed the courts for extra seating. Still great beer, but didn’t have the same appeal.

Excellent beer. Very limited menu from a permanent food truck (so be prepared!). Very disappointed by the upkeep of the Joe Pagac mural on the building-get the city to clean the garbage out of the area so this famous mural can be enjoyed.

Wow what a place! Such cool vibes! The staff is amazing! Wish they didn't let kids be there after a certain time though. When I'm getting sloshed at a bar with my girls, kids running around and a baby crying kinda kills the vibe.

There is a female barber there who's name is Esperanza. And to be honest she is the greatest barber I've ever came across. She offers a haircut a shave and a massage while she washes your head. Relaxing and efficient.

Amazing brewery with some super well tasting drafts on tap! Highly recommend to start with a flight to taste different flavors.

On Friday nights, they do a beer + popcorn pairing. Highly recommended to try.

My personal highlight was the frozen margarita!

Everything on the menu is delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It's like finding Sweden after fighting hard in a war zone. 12/10 will go again

I tried the Prickly Pear Wheat which was perfect on this hot day. It was so good I brought a 6-pack back with me. Husband had the Toole Hazy IPA which was also great. The food truck had yummy tacos. We did the sampler and enjoyed all 4 flavors. The only reason it was not 5 stars was it was a bit too hot for me inside, and it was not cool enough outside to enjoy the outdoor seating. I will be back, and can’t wait to try other beers.

Great spot for craft brews in Tucson! Along with craft beer they also offer GF options like hard seltzer, hard Kampuchea, and wine! Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in the Tucson area!

Awesome brewery with a laid back atmosphere. Also worth mentioning the bar staff saved my CC for me when I had misplaced it recently and I really appreciate the honesty!

Great spot for hanging out inside or outside. Cool craft beer menu, but with great wine and cocktail options. Totally recommend the mango margarita. Also there is live music outside.

Spending time at Borderlands is like coming home after a long trip. The century old warehouse still advertises "Saddles & Harnesses" in its rafters and the train behind it rattles by, blowing its horn, and you've found a place in the truly Old Pueblo where time has stood still - except it's operated by the nicest people and they make the best beer (the Toole Ave is so good I've never tried anything else cause I can't not have it when I'm there). This place is the absolute embodiment of what I missed about Tucson when I moved to the East Coast. "Authentic" doesn't begin to describe it.

This place was awesome! Great variety of beers to choose from and very cool venue. Looks like they have live music some nights. Also had some great Sonoran dogs. Highly recommend!

For the potential, this place was underwhelming. Beer was alright, food was not great (don’t know what they used for the carne but half was gristle). No signage, we sat at the bar and was ignored. Finally went up to an order counter and was able to order (would have been nice for the 3 people behind the bar to say hi and direct us to the order line) then the food is from a food truck. Usually love food trucks, this one was beyond underwhelming with quality and personality. Solid 3, would not be back.

Borderlands has so much going for it, from good craft brews and warehouse-chic interior to its artsy exterior. What's not to love about a place where you can have a your-pick beer flight and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city, including Joe Pagac's wildly captivating murals on the north exterior. Fun place any day of the week!
