Bottega Michelangelo reviews
18This was a birthday celebration with a large group. There was a room off the main dining room that we were seated at. The food was delicious and bountiful. The staff was very attentive to our needs. There is a front patio as well as a patio in the back with great views of the mountains. I would recommend this place fir a relaxing Italian dinner.
Great food and service however, it was a bit noisy, I couldn’t even hear myself think lol.highly recommend stopping in for a bite, one of the better Italian spots in Tucson.
I have a soy allergy. They worked with me so I could have a delicious brunch. I like the ambience of the restaurant also. The servers were very nice.
The food is fresh and top-notch! I've never had anything that I didn't like. I love it so much that my family has had many birthday celebrations here. Better make reservations because the place is always busy. A+
Bottega Michelangelo was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. I would highly recommend. I came with my grandchildren, and we all loved the service and the food. It's a great eat-out for families with children and without. The outdoor patio is great for dates at night because of the romantic lighting. Also, our server, Alonso, was very courteous and accommodating to the children. He even asked the chef (without our request) to speed up our order because they were hungry.
The wait for our meal was about 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious, and the prices for it were reasonable. We ordered Gelato and a cake pop for dessert, and both were wonderful.
FIVE STARS!
So far the 2 best dishes on the menu is their pizza which in my opinion edges out Fiami Pizza. The other dish is Agnolotti which is like oversized ravioli; so delicious it is to die for. I am 100% Italian and my family has made exquisite braciolle. Here at Bottega's they call it Braciola. I tried it and was disappointed. Usually you use flank steak but the key is to pound the meat very thin with a meat mallet. They didn't do that so it was thick and tough. Also, they did this quick filling with a cheese. The way my family makes it is one part seasoned Italian bread crumbs, equal part of grated Locatelli cheese, egg and Olive oil and mix into a paste and spread it on the very thin meat, roll it up, put toothpicks in it and saute lightly and then throw them in a slow boil tomato sauce cooked the longer the better. Not many places make braciolle but I am very picky and have not been to any restaurant who meets my standard. Other than that, the 2 dishes I mentioned are fabulous. I did taste their Bolognese and that I would give an honorable mention. I do like their tomato sauce so I'm sure their other pasta dishes would be delicious. As Italians would say, gravy is the key ingredient. Bueno!
Such a nice place! Food is always spot on! Desserts are amazing. We really like this place and come here often. Great Happy Hour and great place to celebrate something special. It can be a little loud if you are looking for something intimate but always wonderful food and service!
Have been going here for over 10 years. The food is great. My husband and I went here for a date night and had to wait 30 min for our appetizer to come. I realize that it is a busy place but giving us an ETA would've been appreciated. We will come back again! It was worth the wait!
Food was excellent but it was pretty noisy. I really enjoyed the pineapple coconut cake for dessert.
The food was absolutely delicious. Me and my spouse got garlic rolls, the soup, rigatoni and Tagliatelle Alfredo with chicken it was fresh and flavorful. The staff were friendly. Thank you!
Always an enjoyable choice for a meal with friends. Very nice Happy Hour. However, it can get a bit loud.
I got clams over linguini, it was salty but good. I would definitely order again. There is gluten-free pasta available for an up charge on most dishes. I was happy with this place & will go again!
Food is delicious. Beautiful atmosphere inside and it is clean which I appreciate. Server was wonderful, didn’t hover to much which we liked. Will be back!
If you are coming here, do yourself a favor and ask for the server Lauren B! She was amazing! Super sweet to us and helped us find food and drinks on the menu! We are out of towners and felt a little out of our league here but Lauren made us feel like we were regulars! She was warm, personable, perky and the kind of waitress someone prays to get when they go out! We will definitely be coming back but only if we can have Lauren as our server! GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE!
Amazing food and service. Saturday lunch menu is great. I can't wait to bring my family for dinner when they visit. Thank you for the amazing service. You've developed great staff and it's so clean.
Our server Lauren B.was excellent and a very attentive server. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough as an out of town traveler. It's a Tucson gem. Thank you Lauren B.and your staff for giving us such a lovely experience.
Camie, Michelle and Kate make the noise of a busy happy hour worth it. Great bartenders and the reason we keep going back!
The papperdelle Bolognese pasta tasted good, with fettuccini. They were out of papperdelle. I liked the atmosphere mainly. The tiramisu could have been better, had a lot of whipped cream topping and not enough tiramisu layers. Honestly a friend bought my dinner, but I don't think it was worth $18 pasta dish and $8 tiramisu. Shrimp dish was $25, a bit on expensive side.
