Brad Bruns, M.D., Phoenix AZ

I have known Dr. Bruns for over 25yrs, and not only is he a superb Orthopedic Surgeon (highly skilled, efficient, does the most partial knee replacements in Arizona), but he his extremely personable and a true gentlemen. He just repaired a cartilage in my right knee and smoothed out the frayed joint surfaces, and my recovery was rapid, almost pain free, and without any complications. I have seen Dr Bruns for two separate knee issues. I had surgery on the first one in April. And, I am presently seeing him regarding my other knee issue. Dr Bruns is very nice, thorough, and takes the time needed to explain things and answer your questions.

Surgery was easy for a total knee replacement, was up and walking within a couple hours, nice to have dissolving stitches as I hate stitches and staples!

Best orthopedic surgeon, he is your doctor for knees, hips, shoulders etc! Gets right to the issue and treats the cause, not the symptoms. He is a happy, kind doctor and that is very rare these days. He listens and really cares about his patients. He has seen me for multiple issues in both knees and hips. I highly recommend!

Process was very efficient and smooth and got in and out in a very timely manner! All staff friendly & personable!

I was a good candidate. 72 years old and active. Surgery was posterior-lateral, not much surgery damage to replace my hip. Original damage was done 6 years ago.
Checked in hospital at 10, surgery at 1, awake by 2: 30. Nurse said I would stay the night, BUT I was able to walk to the bathroom, get dressed and return to my bed. So the hispitsl discharged me at 5. I went home.
Dr. Bruns replaced my hip joint with minimum damage, minimum pain and good mobility. Bandage was water resistant so I could shower. Stitches were self dissolving.
18 days later, I can walk more or less normally. I highly recommend you consider Dr. Bruns and his team for your hip surgery. Everyone is different however, my outcome is excellent.
