Every time I come there they are accommodating and thorough in their work! I just got my oil changed and Tony told me other issues about my car that needed to be fixed!

Love coming here Anthony and the team are amazing they always work on my dodge charger and always do an amazing fast job and they always give me the best price in town quick efficient and friendly can't beat that

I want to praise Tony Lundberg, General Manager of this Brakes Plus location. Tony was very thorough, honest, and went out of His way, to help Me. Being a Single Woman, having repairs done on Your vehicle, can be stressful. Tony is, hands down, a Great Man, who helped Me to gain complete confidence, at an extremely affordable price, to ensure My Safety!

I've been to this location for new brake pads on my Camaro after the dealership quoted me $600+ for front and rear. Tony told me I only needed fronts and did it for a little over $200.
Just took my wife's Infiniti QX50 in after the dealership quoted her $440 for fronts and Breaks Plus did it for $219.

They also do pretty much everything else for vehicles so I think we've found a new "garage".

I’ve been here twice now for significant car maintenance. The staff here really cared about giving my vehicle quality repairs and helping me stay on budget. I will be going here for my future car maintenance, and I’d strongly suggest you do to.

I called in, spoke with tony asked a question. Pulled up like 10mins later and he was out with the scanner ready. He read all the codes and gave an honest evaluation. Something another shop failed to do. He was very personable which I truly enjoyed. Made me feel better about the situation admittingly.

Update to previous review:
Tony and everyone here continues to impress. Was having issues getting my '86 CJ-7 through emissions. They found the issue and fixed it quickly. Once again the price was very fair. You can bring both old and new vehicles here and expect the same stellar level of expert work

This is an HONEST shop! Keep it up and I am a customer for LIFE.

We heard and felt a clicking during a left U-turn in our 2017 F-250 PowerStroke. Thought, "Oh, there goes a tie rod"
Took it to a Ford dealership and was handed a repair estimate for almost $4,000 with a long list of suspension and steering components to be replaced. Knowing quite a bit about cars I was surprised. Brought it here and gave them the full list of parts the Ford dealership recommended. They looked things over and said they could not see any issues with the components FORD listed but that I should consider new shocks. They could have just said yes, all those parts are bad and charged me big but they did not; they were honest! WOW

5 STARS ️ To Tony Lundberg and his crew today. My husband travels for work and he needed to get his truck looked at. I called up there today and spoke to Tony gave him the rundown and he had him stop on by. He didn’t try to upsell him on anything and physically showed him everything that needed to be fixed prior to giving him a quote. Tony was able to get his crew and the material same day and get it done. They are professional, honest, 100% trust worthy and reasonably priced. These guys ROCK!

I stopped into this place last week to have a headlight replaced and an oil change.and Tony (the GM) was absolutely fantastic!
Got everything taken care of and he talked with me about what was going on with my car, I think I was there start to finish for.maaybe an hour? If that.
It was perfect, I had a crazy busy day and am so grateful he was able to get everything completed so thoroughly and efficiently. Very fair pricing as well. Will definitely be back!

What wonderful and honest service. The manager Tony provided excellent service. I brought my car in with brake issues in the afternoon and within a few hours he had them fixed.
He took the time to show me the issue on the car and explain what was going on. And he drove me back home and brought my car to my house when it was done. Because I literally live 2 mins from shop otherwise he was going to get me an Uber.
As a female having a repair shop that provides honest and high level customer service is so appreciated. He did not talk down to me (which even though I manage a department with 200 people so many men in the repair industry are very patronizing) and charged a very reasonable cost. I had taken my car originally to a AAA shop down the street and they quoted me double the amount. I knew enough to know I was being ripped off.
Brakes plus has earned my future business. Big shout out to Tony and his crew! Thank you!

Was a long-time customer here (since 2017), but the quality and customer service has declined significantly to the point to where I can no longer recommend going here especially after the most recent incident I had.

I had scheduled an oil change and tire rotation, but due to some personal stuff that came up, I wanted to see about getting it done sooner, so I stopped in and asked if there was any way they could squeeze me in, and they said "no problem", left the car with them and let them work on it.

First strangeness came up when I got a phone call from them asking if I had the correct lug tool for my wheels (these weren't locking nuts or anything). I did, but thought it was weird considering they've never asked for this before when they rotated out my tires. I asked about this and they said that they just don't have the tool any longer. Weird, but alright, I dropped off my lug tool with them and they said they'd call back when they were ready.

It took about 6 hours for them to give me a call back to let me know my car is ready - this by itself wasn't an issue, this was about how long it took them before in the past for an oil change and tire rotation. So, I went to go pick up my car. First thing I noticed: the window sticker wasn't replaced with a new one. I was a bit curious, so I went back inside and asked if they had an updated sticker.

This is when things got JUICY. The guy just sort of looked at me like I was speaking another language, then asked what I was talking about. I told him that they just forgot to change the window sticker, and he informed me that an oil change wasn't done, just a tire rotation. I told him that was the ENTIRE reason I brought my car in, and rather than owing up to the mix-up, he turned around and blamed me for not being clear and that there was no service indicator on my car (there was lol), let alone the fact that the oil change was RIGHT THERE on the appointment I scheduled.

So, just to sum things up, they apparently don't have the right tools to do tire rotations now, they forget to do what they're supposed to do when rescheduling, and rather than owing up to the mistake, they blame the customer who has proof of what was supposed to be done. Not to mention it took them six hours just to rotate tires apparently.

I'm so disappointed. If you need an oil change, go to a Valvoline drive thru and get it done by them quickly and sloppily - that's what I had to do after my car spent almost the entire day here, but at least Valvoline got it done unlike these people and I was able to be on my way without worrying about driving long distances on old oil.

My tone on this would be so much better if they didn't try to pin the blame on me for their mistake - that's absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this place. I'm never bringing my cars here again.

I have been a repeat customer for years. I have had brakes, air conditioning, oil changes and diagnostics done here. They are awesome, professional, timely. Always take the time to explain everything and I've never had to return for faulty workmanship.

Initial phone call to quote and schedule an oil change was easy and pleasant. Price was very affordable. Got my car back with a scratch on my driver's door, oil covering my steering wheel, and oil on my bumper.

My experience at Brakes Plus on Tatum is always great! Recently my son brought in his car for a very costly repair. Tony told him that the issue would likely be covered by Volkswagen as he was pretty sure it was still under warranty. And it was. Today my daughter brought in her car as the engine light came on. Tony asked the simple question of if the gas lid was tightly secured. It was not. This was the reason the light went off. I trust the staff at Brakes Plus immensely. It’s always my number one choice. The staff is friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. Always a great experience.
