Restaurant Brandy's Cafe reviews
14Brandy's, this quaint place is great. Food is good. Very welcoming. This place is surronded by local art, guests enjoy delicious made-from-scratch pancakes and pastries, colorful variations of classic egg dishes, exciting sandwiches, a full espresso bar, and fun brunchy cocktails! Brandy's uses only the freshest ingredients available and has been locally-owned and operated for nearly 30 years. Brandy’s has been owned by Kelsey and Jamie Drayton since 2014, but it’s story began in 1976 when long time family friends Ed Wojciak his future wife Brandy opened La Bellavia in downtown Flagstaff. The two later opened a larger location, Brandy’s Restaurant & Bakery, to include espresso and a from-scratch bakery. Upon the Wojciaks retirement, Kelsey & Jamie Drayton purchased Brandy’s from them and later acquired La Bellavia, converting it into a second Brandy’s location, now known as Brandy’s Café. Since then, the Draytons, along with the continued support of their loyal customers, have worked hard to preserve the legacy of serving delicious, house made food in a welcoming and uplifting space, which the Wojciaks set into motion more than 45 years ago.
This is by far my favorite breakfast place in Flagstaff. I always get the giant swedish oatmeal pancake (it will serve two hungry adults) and a side of sausage patties. Apparently, in the winter, mornings are slow until the sun comes up. I was the only one in there at 7: 15 this morning. Perhaps consequently, my server, Matt, was very attentive. Actually, he was just about the best server that I've had in the last decade at any restaurant. They also have a large variety of egg dishes, and our favorite famous for their omelettes and hollandaise sauce among other things.
This place is amazing! Our server, Ben, was a terrific host. His recommendations were spot on and the food was outstanding! We started with a whisky chai tea latte and an Irish coffee which were wonderful. My wife had the Jesse Benedict and it was great and the poached egg was absolutely perfect!
I had the biscuit and gravy which was just amazing! True homemade biscuits with authentic sausage gravy with little bits of sausage in it! Light and fluffy but not too heavy. The over medium egg on top was perfect as well with a nice firm outside and a nice runny inside.
This place is a gem and a must when you're in Flagstaff. You also must ask for Ben because he will take wonderful care of you.
Pretty tasty food and amazing service.
Got the eggs Benedict, side of potato's, and the Baja mocha. The coffee was amazing so I ordered a second before I left. Eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted good, not so amazing that I'd return just for them but better than some other local spots. The potatoes were honestly awful at first but the server brought me a replacement and the difference between the old, cold ones and the fresh, crispy ones was a bit of a shock. Glad I gave them a second chance, just as a cook myself it was still unforgivable to serve the bad ones first.
I wish I could remember my server's name because he was great, very attentive and kind. Best service I've had in a while.
Best pancakes I’ve ever had! I actually went two days in a row while on vacation in Flagstaff. Our server Ben was so friendly too. Such a great place.
Truly superb biscuits and gravy, and Matt is an excellent server! Love the music and everything else about this place. Oh and the coffee is delicious and local!
We arrived at this cafe due to the great reviews and we wanted a good breakfast. The wait was 30-45 due to the place being pretty small and a lot of people waiting. We were texted 15 min later our table was ready. We thought it a little strange but checked. They said there was a mix up due a new employee getting confused with the wait list/times. The gentleman who spoke to us said he was sorry for the confusion but it would still be 30-45 minutes but he would give us a coffee while we waited and apologized again. We said no problem and we understood. My hubby and I both chose espresso. The man was very friendly and had great customer service. He said he had been working their a long time and loves his job! The food was good and the pancakes were so fluffy and sweet. It was totally worth the wait and of course we received more great customer service which really made a difference. We will definitely go again when we’re visiting flagstaff.
If you tell me the wait is 30 min done make me wait an hour. Lunch doesn't come with a side you have to buy separate
A cute little cafe situated in downtown. Service was friendly and fun, and the atmosphere is great. The food isn't bad, but it's not worth the drive to tourists. But a great place to go when you're jonesing for your basic cafe bite.
This place is awesome! Great food, amazing staff, they're always super friendly and helpful and amazing coffee. Definitely will stop here again when I'm back in Flagstaff.
This place is phenomenal. It’s a little tightly packed but very cozy. Not only was our server Matt super friendly and down to earth, but I had probably the best omelette I’ve ever had (with sausage, mushrooms, green chiles, feta cheese, and avocado). Their country potatoes were surprisingly good, too, as they use a couple different spices with them that most places don’t use. The food came out super fast despite them being probably at around 80-90% capacity when we arrived. They also use a green jalapeño hot sauce that I’ve never tried before that is now my new favorite! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Really yummy home-style breakfast:) Super grateful! Had the Aloha coffee ️ & biscuits & gravy w eggs Recommended if you are in the area for sure
Great little breakfast cafe. From the host, to the food, to the Americano. Everything was great. My omelette was cooked to perfection. The potatoes as simple as they are were absolutely delicious. Great job! When in Flagstaff gotta grab a bite to eat here!
We arrived around 9 and were immediately seated. It was very busy at this time and the server was spot on in taking our order, serving drinks, and checking back with us. The food was served promptly and the temp was perfect. We had a little one with us and the server was very attentive to her as well. We definitely plan to revisit on our next trip to Flagstaff. Hats off
