I had open wounds on the back of one of my calves for over a year. The most horrific pain and experience I’ve ever gone through, and no medical expert could seem to get these excruciating wounds to heal. As strong of a person that I am, I was actually starting to feel a bit hopeless about the whole situation and started to think I would just be eternally dealing with wounds and dressing changes. Then Nurse Stephanie came along! This amazing woman had those disgusting wounds healed up and closed within a couple of months of her treating me! And the bonus, on top of her being able to perform such an amazing miracle for me, is that she is one of the sweetest, funniest ladies I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing! Due to my medical condition, I may run into the wound situation again. If it does reoccur, Stephanie will be the only medical professional allowed near my person to treat me. I feel so Blessed knowing I won’t ever have to suffer to the extent I did before because God sent me an Angel Nurse to heal me, and that is absolutely 100% the way I truly feel! Thank you so much, Stephanie and Brightstar!

I signed up for service with this company last week with nurse Elizabeth and as of today she still hasn't turned in my paperwork.

I had the privilege of having Catherine as my Home Health nurse for 7 or so months. She is sharp, witty, and so brilliant at her chosen path. She listened to my concerns and was respectful of my wishes and comfort. Trust her recommendations 100%. I got so spoiled with Catherine, I don't think another nurse will ever measure up. Brightstar is lucky to have her in their employ.

My home health nurses, Catherine and Melanie smoothed over a potentially traumatic experience for me. Catherine was my initial contact who was able to answer my questions regarding future treatment when my own physicians’ and surgeons’ information seemed short on understanding. Melanie was my nurse throughout the weeks of treatment who consistently, clearly informed me how my treatment advanced after my amputation. My regular appointments with Melanie were always on time throughout my 6-week treatments, establishing communication with my other caregivers, and with her being available by phone in case an issue arose.

Bright Star far exceeded my expectations throughout my time of healing.

I had surgery in December 2022 leaving a large open surgical incision wound. This required wound vac dressing changes 3 times a week. I was extremely apprehensive of who was going to perform my very complicated dressing changes. The wound was on my back therefore it was impossible for me to see it. I needed a skilled wound care nurse who had the ability to communicate clearly and honestly with what they observed with my wound during dressing changes. I was extremely lucky to be assigned Catherine Swayze as my RN. She is a skilled wound care specialist and a strong patient care advocate. She helped navigate my care with my surgeon and his wound care RN at a time when I was trying by myself and not getting any where. Catherine acted quickly again when I had a negative reaction to a dressing that required communication and action from my surgeon's office. Catherine has done what was right for patient care, not what was easy. She never sat by, waited, or passed the buck as not her problem. Catherine was always a patient care advocate leading the charge when necessary. During my care my husband was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital and then ICU. Catherine helped support me emotionally during this time with reassurance, kindness, and hope for the best outcome attitude that helped with my fears and tears. I could not have asked for a better RN to appear in my life than Catherine.

Brightstar has hit the RN lottery with Catherine. I also appreciate the customer service calls asking me how things are going. These gave me the opportunity to communicate how happy I am with my RN, but also ask questions regarding billing or anything else that had come up. I would recommend this for home health care needs.

Stephanie is the best. She takes great care of me, and I would recommend her to anyone. She makes my life a lot better. Thank you Stephanie.

While initial confirmation for appointment time took sometime Stephanie has been great She is caring and very personable Brightstar definitely has an asset in her Lucky to have been assigned her as my home health contact
