Broken Yolk Cafe reviews
20First time here was disappointing I ordered the chicken fried steak the steak was overcooked the gravy was more like a paste instead of gravy very thick the eggs had to been extra small eggs the grapefruit juice tasted fermentedThe waitress was nice but didn’t care to ask how the meal was I want all disappointing won’t be back
I ordered sourdough bread and got a muffin instead. The Avocado on the toast was gross, brown and tasted funny. My bacon was burnt. This food was honestly not worth my $30.
The only thing is the price! Breakfast for 2 @ $33. Inflation is real! There are plenty of tables available but hostess still seats others right next to us!
The portions are huge. The food was really good. The only thing that kept it from being five stars were the two short, skinny strips of bacon I got when I ordered a side of bacon. It was probably $. 50 worth of bacon. If you have a place this awesome, serve big portions of bacon if you’re going to charge big prices.
Get there early. Fabulously diverse menu and we'll priced. Quality food artfully presented, CS Associates are friendly and efficient.know the menu and field q"s well. Go you shall not be disappointed!
LOVED the food, the menu is amazing, we had the best waitress, Rauni, who was friendly, personable, and always on top of our stuff. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and they were delicious. I had the Tiki Toast and it was to die for. We also did the custom Mimosa Flight and it just made our breakfast experience next level. Highly recommend for awesome breakfast place
This place is okay, it has a nice and fun atmosphere. However, when it came to the food it was not the best. It was unseasoned and overcooked, I had to reach for the salt for every plate I got. Everything was bland. I also ordered their matcha latte which wasn't even filled to the top and honestly was not worth the five dollars it cost. The service even felt a little lacking. For reference, my table got a chicken and waffle benedict, avocado toast, a mom omelette, and hashbrowns. I would not visit this chain a second time.
Very good food & service. Staff was extra attentive and took care of our every need. There needs to be more of theses in the valley.
This was our first time eating here. The food was excellent. I ordered the Greek omlet. Seriously the best omlet I've ever had. The servings are generous. We had an excellent waitress, I think her name was Mercedes. It was fathers day, they were very busy. All the service was excellent. I noticed how hard the bus boy was working, sometimes I think patrons overlook that. They're the reasons tables become available so quickly. We'll definitely be back.
Father's Day brunch. This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The Hawaiian sweetbread french toast was fantastic. My daughter enjoyed her soup so much she ordered more to go. And the eggs Benedict were superb. This was a very good experience.
This is such an unfortunate rating that weighs so heavy on my heart.
Honestly, I can't explain how excited I was for the experience when I saw the menu. I expected to come back in a week.
Disclaimer: it was Mother's Day.
We waited more than an hour after ordering before our food was delivered. (Other large tables seated after us were served.we were forgotten.)
We offered to go somewhere else and just close out on drinks and the hostess informed us that our food was coming out in less than five minutes. (She was more than willing to close us out and only charge us for drinks.)
We were so excited by the menu and our selections and we elected to stay.
There were only two of us, but neither of us received what we ordered.
I can't explain how excited I was, I think the disappointment I felt is stronger due to the direct contrast to the expectations I had for the service. The menu and everyone I came into contact with was amazing.
I was treated incredibly well, but we waited over an hour and didn't even get the food we ordered. There really isn't an excuse, nor did anyone discuss our poor service OR the fact that we received something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what we ordered.
From a guy who LOVES food, I'll be going to Crackers or Bisbee in the future.
Amazing place for a breakfast. Reasonable prices too. Nice serving by Zezil G. Not sure if that's the correct name of the person, who served me, but. Server: zezil. G, nice people.nice food.
I really enjoyed going here.customer service was very nice, the waitress very attentive.food was super yummy we got two of their Benedicts. I got the classic and my wife got the chicken and waffle.we also shared an order of the savory crepes.after my pregnancy I would definitely love to come back and try some of there mimosa bloody Mary flights. All in all I would definitely recommend this place!
I wish we had one of these in Surprise! It was super busy, which means it's popular, and for good reason. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We had the chicken and waffle Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and the sweet trio. My husband also got the Bloody Mary flight, which he thought was good, not great. The service was great and all staff were very friendly. If we come back to Mesa, we will definitely come here again.
Staff is super friendly, food came out hot and very quickly and was absolutely delicious! They also have a dog menu, something my service dog thoroughly enjoyed. 10 out of ten would return again. TRY THE RANCHERO SKILLET! SOOOOOOO GOOD!
KUDOS to the Broken Yolk, best breakfast I've had in a long time!
Never had a bad experience here. They are very accommodating with everything going on and the food quality hasnt suffered. Love the staff here, always a pleasant trip in.
Im a habitual eater of the Huevos Rancheros or the Full Stack of Buttermilk Cakes with Extra Crispy Bacon and 2 Sunny Side Up Eggs.
Excellent chilaquiles truly delicious
The Arnold palmer left something to be desired the mix wasn't quite right and their tea isn't sweet enough to help the lemonade along but not too shabby
My fiance got the 2 egg combo and he reports it was quite good and the blueberry muffin was warm and was clearly freshly made the blueberries seemed fresh and sweet
overall 8/10 would totally recommend
Fast, good food. I was lucky enough to get the same awesome waitress twice in a row. Her name was "Z", short for Zazelle. She had a genuine smile and really knows the menu and was not pushy. Highly recommend this place, the coffee was hot and tasted good too. Well worth the visit and great pricing.
The food here is ALWAYS great! Our server Jessica was very attentive. She even apologized when she realized she forgot to being something to the table. We didn't even have to remind her. She also wished my husband a happy birthday after the manager let her know. Highly recommend coming here. You won't be disappointed.
Got home to find our order was wrong, asked for bacon and over easy - got sausage and sunny side up. Food was average at best.
