First time and certainly not the last. Yes the prices are steep but the food is amazing. With that price you get an awesome atmosphere of live music and esthetic beauty of the restaurant. The most important part of the afternoon was the service, it was worth every dollar spent. From the runners and servers this place rocks. The highlight was Micha, our server, or I should say; "our culinary guide to an epicurean adventure". The food was perfect and Buck & Rider will do in there power to get what you want/like for your meal.

This place is great for a special occasion. The staff was all helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. We made reservations which was probably a good idea as the place was busy. Also the parking seems to be limited.

By far the best brunch in the Valley. Between the patio, the live music, the Diego Riviera, and the new Orleans twist on the cuisine (highly recommend the beignets and shrimp and grits), Buck and Rider proves everytime to be at the top of their game. They even do happy hour with a raw bar for brunch! 10 out of 10, would recommend over and over again!

Tried this place out for our anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious and Nikita, our server, was very nice and gave excellent recommendations for our meal.

Very wheelchair friendly and amazing food. 0 grade entrance entrance plenty of space (except at peak times when it's a little bit hard to maneuver because it so popular). They accommodated happy hour deals sitting at a table for my wheelchair. They were happy to work with food allergies. The bathrooms are wheelchair friendly and the sink doesn't even spray water all over the place. The only complaint is that the paper towels for drying hands are hard to reach in a wheelchair. I've been there twice so far and it's been an amazing time.

Great service, excellent vibes. Old fashioned is tasty, highly recommended the smoked tuna spread and the brussel sprouts. Every plate we ordered was great. Love seeing the chef drop plates off too.

Went there Black Friday at noon, server was nice and attentive, but they were out of Bloody Marys? Seriously? Then out of their famed fish sandwich. Seems like a place of high perception would be better prepared.hope the new one in N Scottsdale has better planning.

Sat at the bar. Noone greeted for a while. Asked the waiter if I could order. He told me to wait a minute and then disappeared for a bit and came back and asked what I wanted after 5 mins or so. I asked for a water without ice and a lemon, as I was dying for thirst, this being AZ. It came pretty quick with ice and a lemon. I ordered, and the ceviche came out and it was good but found something in my mouth and it was a plastic wrapper? So, I told the bartender and the manager came out and apologized profusely and asked me if I would like anything else. I told him pie. By this time I was almost out of water. Well, Noone asked nor filled it. Kinda hard to eat the pie without something to wash it down. I actually never even got water and had gotten my check and thanked the manager for the pie. I should have asked him for pie and water.

Best Happy Hour in Phoenix! Very large portions on everything we ordered. Two people can leave full for less than $25 if you don't get drinks. Of course, everything that comes out of the kitchen is quality.

Pretentious for no reason. Worst "no filler" crab cake ever. It says NO FILLER in bold letters on the menu. So they put the filler on top and fry it, then charge you double than the crab cake with filler. Cute chef trick.

Does the staff own the place or just work in a decent place so they feel entitled? Some of the staff attitudes are quite condescending & rude.
Especially the rude hostess with luxurious wavy dark hair. We will come back when you don't work there anymore.

Not worth a $250 lunch for 3 people, to then be told we cannot have a drink at the bar while waiting for an Uber bc it is wait-list only, including standing room. She was lying & will lie to you for no reason.

We used to come often. We will be going to our other local awesome seafood spots in hopes to find friendly staff, great food & respect.
PS Allison is a great server and the bar tenders were lovely.

Seems like every other time I come in, something is waaaaay too salty.first time it was the ceviche, then the grilled shrimp. Couldn't eat it. Other dished that my friends got were good. Maybe it is just my luck.

Took my wife and kids for dinner to celebrate. We've lived in AZ for 16 years and have visited many restaurants in the valley, but this was our first visit to Buck & Rider. This restaurant is an absolute gem! The seafood is fresh and expertly crafted and prepared. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive (and when we were there, it was packed with a waiting line out the door). The complimentary valet is actually complimentary. We didn't have a reservation, but were provided menus to order drinks while we waited. We were seated at the high tables adjacent to the bar. We had a pretty large order including buttered noodles with veggies for the kids, oysters on the half shell (so many choices of oyster), voodoo rice and calamari for appetizers. For our main courses, we had 2 alaskan king crab legs, 6 pieces of Nigiri, seared scallops (6 pan seared, 2 grilled), a 16oz ribeye and a loaded baked potato. Every single dish was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor appropriate for each of hte dishes. When the waitress was bringing our grilled scallops, she was bumped on the arm and dropped them on the floor. They prepared a new pair of grilled scallops and tossed in a slice of lemon (or maybe keylime) pie for the very minor inconvenience. This is the seafood restaurant that we will be taking our family and visitors to for as long as they are in business. So glad that we had the opportunity to dine here!

The freshest seafood. Prompt service. The patio setting is serene. Reasonable weekend brunch prices. Looking forward to our next visit.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. It was amazing. The seafood taste so fresh you would not think you were in a land locked state. The service was amazing everyone was nice and accommodating. I had one of each of the 6 oysters they offered and was not disappointed. Hands down the best oysters in Phoenix. I also tried the shrimp scampi risotto. I was thinking it was going to be a small serving but it was a generous amount and it had 3 big shrimp. My wife had the 1/2lb of king crab legs and the spaghetti squash. Again this was the freshest seafood I have eaten in Arizona also it was a lot of crab. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh seafood and an amazing dining experience.

I went here with my family, group of 10, and they were so attentive and accommodating. We were going to be late for our reservation, so they let us push it back 1.5 hour, but we ended up showing up 30 minutes early. They let us get seated even though we showed up early. Our server was very nice and got everything we needed. There was a variety of food choices for everyone: pasta, French toast, sandwiches, steak, and seafood. The food was really good and fresh. It was my mom's boyfriend's birthday, so our server brought out our cake at the end of the meal and changed the board to say "Happy Birthday Richard! " She also gave him a box of macarons as a present from the restaurant and was able to split our checks into 5 different checks. Overall, the food, atmosphere, service and experience was great.

Best oysters I've ever had! The smoked trout dip was mostly trout with very little filler and the Baja ceviche were great too! The oysters were St. Simon from New Brunswick.
