Buff N File Nail Spa, Tempe AZ

I got a basic pedicure and it was awful. Rushed job, my feet were only in warm water for 2 minutes, the massage was about 2 minutes as well but the worst part.instead of trimming my cuticles she used a very rough grit square file and SANDED OFF MY CUTICLES. OUCH! My toes are still burning the next day.

A friend recommended I come here and this has become my standard place. I go with two friends once every few months. We never make a reservation and we're almost always seated within ten minutes. Sometimes I have trouble finding a color that matches what I want, but their basic gel manicure is only $35 which is the cheapest I've found in the Tempe/Scottsdale area. They also have a stamp card for students and for people who pay with cash, and after 6 (or maybe 8?) Stamps you get $15 off. I've never had a bad experience here but I also get very straightforward work done, never anything fancy!

I love the place, the girls, and all the patient. My only disappoint is if you don't spent a big chunk and pick the expensive package on your Pedi they treated you "normal", no extra nice people, your massage is and they do the pedi fast as the can, I had to come back home and cut little corners left from my toe nails.

They are always really nice when I go there. It's never busy during the day so I can get right in without having an appointment.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but I have been here a few times to keep giving it a chance. I’m done. This place really doesn’t care about it’s clients and I don’t want any one else to be mistreated by them. They only care about money. If you’re looking to get your nails done with a friend, forget that, this place will sit you apart from each other for their sales person’s convenience. They do not listen to what you want and will charge you whatever they want, especially if it is your first time visiting. They do not do a full manicure and they do not put care into their work. I do not support business with such poor customer service. They made me feel like an animal at a groomer. When I am paying for any service, at the very least, I am expecting to be treated respectfully.

I have been going to this location for 2 years and have never had an issue till today. I called in the morning and scheduled a pedi and nail removal with mani. I asked for someone with experience with pedicures and the lady scheduling stated oh I will schedule you with Amanda she does great with that. I come to my nail appointment and the tech Amanda immediately with no hello or anything said “ well I don’t know why you would ask for me, I don’t Ever do you and you want all that extra stuff and the things you ask can’t be done and my hands hurt I can’t do that, Referring to a simple callus removal. She made a snide rude remark that she had been next to me the last time I was having a pedi done I told her if she had any issues I would just schedule an appointment with az nails like last time and have their pedi tech take care of that part the following day.she continued to say yes I should do that because she couldnt. I told her that she was making me feel uncomfortable because it was clear she just didn’t want to work with me and if some one else was available. She went to the back room yelling and then people started popping their heads looking out at me making me so uncomfortable that i just left. Sitting currently across the street at Az Nails getting a pedi with out being treated like garbage and unprofessionalism

If i would give a 0 I would. Not recommending it to anyone. This lady did my nail less than 14 minutes full set, it's ridiculous. Some of my nails were longer than other, when she wait painting the color, it looked like I had done my nails a week a go, I had to tell her to paint my entire nail it was bad. Hated it PERIOD! She also told me that regular polish and shell is the same price which I do mot believe it. HATE IT.

They don't honor their appointments!

I stopped in a month ago and had my nails done by Amanda, and, though she wasn't very friendly, I was pretty happy with the job she did, so yesterday my daughter and I scheduled appointments for us to each have "gel manicures" today, as well as a gel pedicure for my daughter. My appointment was schedule with Amanda, and when it was scheduled, no one asked exactly what I wanted done, i.e. Any art work, etc. Another technician took my daughter right away when we arrived today, but I had to wait a while after my scheduled 2 p.m. Appointment with Amanda. When she finally took me back, I showed her the gel color I wanted and proceeded to explain that I also wanted hearts to be painted on some of my nails, and she rudely snapped at me "I can't do hearts! I don't have time to do hearts since I have a 2: 30 appointment. " Well what about MY APPOINTMENT, lady!? !? Instead of putting up with her nasty attitude, I just told her "You know what? Let's just forget it then.if I can't get what I want. " She didn't offer to go ahead and do my nails, but just walked away. It was an extremely unfortunate and uncomfortable situation since my daughter was well on her way with getting her pedicure and manicure, and I had a lot of time to kill.so I went to a much friendlier business in the center. Ross. No, I would never again recommend anyone waste their time or money on or in this business.

This place is up and down. I have gone to this place over 2 years. All depends on who you get. I dislike having to ask 5 times for a tech to do something. If it is a language issue they should go get the boss to help them communicate versus just ignoring your request. Horribly disinterested massage. So bad I almost asked her to just stop, she was so bored. I gave up trying to get the polish right on a French manicure. I came home, removed her horrible job and did it myself. Looks pretty good! This was the last time that I will go here, would rather take my chances w different salon

So far, the best nail salon I've visited. Amanda is great! Pricing is reasonable and the overall service is great! I recommend this place.
