Buffalo Chip Saloon and Steakhouse, Cave Creek AZ

This place looked like a good time. And it actually was. However you might want to eat somewhere else before you go. I had the burnt ends and for $10 I got maybe 6 pieces. Then I ordered fries and the container was maybe 3/4 of the way full. Okay it is what it is. However we stayed to enjoy our time. The thing that made me laugh is when the bill came there was no itemized receipt. So when it was $70 and we had an appetizer, burnt ends and two sides. We were a little shocked. Then when I asked for the itemized receipt it was the end of the world to the bartender. “Sorry to interrupt your money flow, guy”. Come to find out the sodas she kept asking us if we wanted refills for were being charged full price every time. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry. To charge for soda refills is ridiculous. However if you’re gone charge, COMMUNICATE that to the customer. We live in a different world than we did two years ago. Some people can’t afford to pay $30 on soda. Of course I paid the tab. But all I ask for is communication. So I suggest if you’re going to come to this place enjoy the fun but eat somewhere else. For $70 I shouldn’t have left there hungry.

First time experiencing that place was awesome real good time very friendly staff and people bull riding was fun to watch My boss even jumped on one last in 5 seconds real good time.

The wife and I had a great time. First time swinging through Cave Creek for dinner and this place stood out. Food, service, atmosphere were all top shelf.thx again Becca

Buffalo chips was packed tonight. Super fun experience. Glad I was out there. If you expect it to be anything else than what it promotes don't go. A great time.

Awesomeness. Country western Bar, live Bull riding (Fri & wed), mechanical Bull. Live Band. Dancing. BBQ... Burnt ends! Great service. Great crowd. Family friendly. Bad parking... Limited restrooms, considering crowd size. We will definitely be back. Hopefully to see my kid ride a bull...

This place was great before ribs not the same good dint get me wrong but not espectacular drinks price when very high also rodeo night you have to pay 10 bucks per person even though we dine in and spend 400 dollars so

The ambiance and the show was good (because we had 10 riders sign up). So expect to see 10 riders for 10 bucks. Definitely won't find a country bar like this anywhere else. The food was okay, it came out a little cold & some of the meat was a little fatty for my liking. If I came back I likely wouldn't eat there again. For atmosphere & service I would give them a 4/5. Quality of food 3.

The ambiance and the food were off the chart I would highly recommend going here if you're looking for a good place that's not only southwestern but has a little bit of country flare you can do everything from watch the bull rides or have drinks at one of their three or four outside bars plenty of room for huge parties again I would highly recommend they did a fabulous job and everybody treated us very well.

Way to many people they pack em in you will sit there for 3 hours waiting to get food then by the time it gets there they kick you and your kids out at ten

This place is Great! Food is absolutely incredible and the staff were all great. I recommend you try this place if you are in town, you won't be disappointed. I came out here from Charleston, S. C.

Dont go for the service, it's not a service friendly place.nice atmosphere, enjoyable outdoor area.

Food was decent, the bull riding was a bit of a let down. It was fun to see the bull riding, but it was already over in 15 minutes (Nov 3,2021 @ 7pm). We expected it to be more than just that (closer to an hour at least).

Friendliest wait staff in AZ - and that's saying something. This place is incredible - like an old western, rodeo, and authentic bbq/steakhouse in one. You can taste the smoke in every bite. Sauce is wonderful and homemade but you don't need it. Best restaurant barbecue I've ever had. Iced tea is spot on and we were told there are rodeo, dancing, and other events throughout the week. We will be back!

Ordered 12 shots of patron silver. They were clearly WATERED down. Asked to speak with bar manager and they immediately asked us to leave. Clearly poor management and servers with no conscience. Hope this place burns down as the other shady owners did to the previous chip. Best of luck

Post Script: The bartender did open another bottle and poured one shot trying to prove the tequila wasn't watered down. We told her that we saw her open a new bottle. Not a big deal at this point. I'm sorry for some of my comments above. Sincerely hope this was a one time deal and you folks continue to have success

This is by far, one of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten. My advice is to make sure you eat elsewhere before coming here for some fun.

Wife and I go here 2 or 3 times a month to watch the bull riding. Always have a great time. The announcer guy is entertaining and fun to watch and the music man really keeps the crowd pumped up everytime. Thinking about renting vip for my birthday this year. Where else can I get such a show for such a great price.

One of my favorite places to visit in Cave Creek! I've had great food and drinks, awesome service from the staff, and amazing memories with my friends!

Definitely a "must go" if you are looking for a fun memorable night with friends! The band that plays 5 days a week is phenomenal and adds so much to the southern ambiance. People are always dancing 2 step!

Plus, I think I'm gonna ride a bull tomorrow night lol YES, I said RIDE A BULL! They not only have a robotic bull ride, but also LIVE BULL RIDING! You can sign up on Wednesdays and Fridays, pay a fee and sign a waiver, and ride!

Even if the country vibe isn't really your scene, it's a place you have to check out! Definitely worth the drive

The food sucks! I ordered the brisket sandwich. All I can say is that I am glad my kids were not hungry. I got food poisoning, constant stomach pain very hard to handle and night sweats. The pain as of this morning has not gone away. I'm extremely disappointed and regret so much recommending my family to come with me.
