And the prices they charge for coins are very reasonable, and most often, they have a selection of various grades for a requested coin. Watched 10 cars pull in and leave because they are closed for a month due to holiday they say. Answering machine said nothing about this and I and others I talked to drove 1 hr to the get here. No proper voicemail and nobody answering the phone does not help anyone. I trust these guys but that was poor planning.

I went inside the business and the clerk was very rude. And unprofessional. But he made me feel as if he did not care for my business it takes one bad person to make a company look bad all together.

My, what an experience. I had read the reviews but was cautious that I could be taken advantage of. The people who helped me, Mike, Brad and Ken couldn’t have been more welcoming, professional and honest. I fell that they treated me very fairly price wise for my simple old coin collection I had been lugging around for many decades, two rings and a gold capped fountain pen. Would I use them again and recommend them to friends? You bet.
I feel that this shop is an asset to our city.

Seeing all the different reviews and personally knowing at least 8 people who have done business with C&C Coin (buying, selling and getting verbal appraisals) I had the opportunity to stop in and see for myself just what kind of place it was.it was everything I thought it would be.full of various coins, stamps.collectables.cases of supplies, referance books.and staffed by 3 gentlemen who were kept quite busy by the half dozen people inside there. I was impressed watching and listening to these very knowledgeable and experienced professionals.even while they went through a bunch of items brought in by a lady who had stuff she got in a storage unit auction.they identified.explained.and even offered to purchase some of the items.they gave valuable advice.and spot on assessments.and I even witnessed a couple of good sales.all this during the last hour of business on Saturday.all my questions were answered. I plan on coming back next week with some of my collectables for them to help me ID and have my eye on a couple of items in the cases that were priced well below what I know they are worth (at least to me). They do have a HUGE variety of Hummel's.so many of them.lol.but what I liked the most was the variety of items everywhere.

I have been doing business with this shop for quite a while and have found them to be fair in purchasing and selling coins and silver. Ken, the owner has always had time to help me even though I am a novice collector. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to buy, sell and trade with them in the future.

Honesty and integrity, no pressure - - highly recommend! Friendly interaction and warm welcome to everyone who walks in. I was referred to Ken Moon by a family member 11 years ago and have bought and sold coins, silver and gold through him over the years. They are a very well established business (at the same location over 25 years) buying and selling a wide variety of coins, stamps, jewelry, antiques, precious metals, etc.and they do estate sales, too. They also give free appraisals and are open Saturdays. On a personal level, I also admire Ken’s respect and values toward his community, family and employees.

I'm a long-time Phoenix area resident and coin collector. I know all the dealers in town who have been around and had successful retail shops for any real length of time. Ken, Dennis, Brad and Mike at C&C are very solid. I've been going to C&C for what I imagine is at least 20 years now. I go on a regular basis and have bought from them, sold to them and even had them sell for me on eBay. I have even bought foreign coins and currency before international travel at a substantial discount compared with then-current market value.

I give C&C very high marks and have referred dozens of others to them over the years. I've referred more people to C&C than all the other shops in town combined. The comments that I've gotten back from those I have referred to C&C have been excellent- I can't think of a single one that had any real problems.

Now, I do wish to address a comment made by someone who gave C&C a 1-star rating just in the past several days and said C&C only offered him 1-3% of the value of something and referred to it as a replica. It is absolutely amazing that someone would knowingly sell something for such a small percentage of it's true value. This person said they were stuck and had to accept the low price. Cmon! Now I don't know all the details, but the only thing I can think of is if C&C felt the item may have been stolen and the potential seller's body language was problematic. It would have been nice if the seller would have said a little more about WHY they felt they had to accept such a minimal offer and specifically what type of coin (s) were involved. If I was about to deliver such a low score, I'd have given much more in the way of details.

All that said, there can be legitimate discrepancies regarding whether something is real or fake- there are some incredible quality fakes out there (many from China) and it has become much harder to determine authenticity than it was even, say, 10 years ago.

If C&C honestly felt it was a replica, fake or whatever you want to call it (even if they weren't sure), they are perfectly fine in having this opinion. Even if it was authentic, being able to turn around and sell it profitably is a whole different thing. There are plenty of different types of coins and currency (examples: $1 silver certificates, 1943 steel cents and many more) that are legitimately hard to find in circulation, yet even if I could buy them at face value, it would be tough to turn around and sell them at a profit. It just wouldn't be worth the time and effort to do so for a lot of these items.

Let me add this final point- NOBODY has asked me to respond to this 1-star review. I have never worked for C&C before and am not related to them in any manner. I happened to be online and saw a 1-star review and it just didn't pass the smell test. In a case like that, I will definitely stand up and speak out. The guys at C&C deserve better than that.
