Candlewood Suites Building 44420, Fort Huachuca AZ

Let me start by saying if you want five stars from me it better be the Taj Mahal. Beyond that this is a really nice hotel. They catered to the service people and their families. It's super clean, it's well kept, breakfast is typical for a hotel. The great attraction to this hotel is the price. The inconvenience is you must be cleared to go on a military base. Which for me is relatively easy, but I'm not sure it is for everybody. If you're going to be in the area certainly check into staying at this hotel it's well worth it.

Terrible hotel if traveling with pets. Management is trying to make money off service members who are PCSing with pets by charging them an absurd amount. The pet fee for 2 dogs was 2x the room rate ($150). Not to mention the “mandatory pet inspection” upon check out where a housekeeping manager turns the room over in an attempt to find anything to charge you more for having a pet. Go off post if you have pets.

The staff is wonderful. Rooms are clean and modern. Beds are so comfortable, you'll literally sleep like a baby.

Rooms are decent, but some of the front desk management is condescending and isn’t willing to help guests with anything. I’m made to feel like a burden when asking. Cleaning and kitchen staff are great.

I haven't had the need to stay here, but everytime I deliver flowers for their guests I receive a very cordial treatment from the desk personnel! Thank you. Here are the latest creations. Change of Command flowers for the families.

We always have a great experience at this hotel. It's so clean and convenient. The free laundry is a blessing to our family of 5. The man that checked us in was so nice and helpful. It's also pet friendly which was great when we were PCSing. They serve a nice hot breakfast as well. My kids also had a great time playing in the pool. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying on Fort Huachuca.

I visited for my sisters graduation and was pleasantly surprised at my accommodations. The room was fabulous. I tried taking a shower and the water was cold, but within the hour someone had fixed it. Clearly they care about their guests.
The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I have ever laid on in my life!
The staff are SUPER pleasant. The laundry is free which I was NOT expecting. They have rental DVDs for those who don’t like watching commercials. The elevators are quick to get to each floor so you won’t spend much time waiting for them.
The shades block out 99.9% of the sun light. There is a small kitchenette which allowed me to save a BUNCH on meals. There’s an ice maker in the freezer which is super nice to have. They must have soundproof walls because I didn’t hear anything from outside my room the whole trip. There is a full length mirror and a laundry basket in the closet.
The staff keeps clean towels in the room. I left a bunch of cash on the counter and none of it was touched so the staff are also SUPER trustworthy.
There is a recliner chair, full desk, wheels office chair, etc.perfect for someone that needs lots of room to spread out. They have a fully stocked breakfast every morning and 24/7 coffee.
10/10 would recommend!

How have I not written a review about this place yet? It's a really great place to stay especially if you're business is with one of the FHAZ tenant units. The staff is super nice and friendly, and make sure you check out the socials on Wednesdays, they're worth it.

First of all, this is one of the best, if not the best Army Hotels for service members and their families. Karen, Cheryl, Petra and Norma (just to name a few) are amazing and so helpful. They made my stay so much better and truly became like family. Elisa was the lady who cleaned my room and she was so efficient, attentive and lovely. I highly recommend the Candlewood Suites on Fort Huachuca to anyone and everyone! 6 out of 5 stars!

Great experience these past couple of weeks. Parking is free and so I’d the breakfast. They also have coffee and tea available 24/7. Checkout and checkin were easy and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool is open but I heard that it was quite chilly. There is also a small gym and a grilling area adjacent to the pool. Easy access to Fort Huachuca and the Sierra Vista area

I was actually really impressed. Room was great. Service was consistently great from multiple people at front desk and breakfast area.

I've really enjoyed my stay here so far.
Rooms are clean, has everything I need.
Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Love the free laundry, as I'll be in town a week.
As long as my last night here goes well, I'd highly recommend.

Definitely one of the better hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Super friendly staff and great room/services. Provides free printing/laundry/breakfast addition to a full kitchen set with cutlery and cookwares. If I could I would’ve stayed here during my time over off-post apartment if it was an option.

I am very disappointed in the Candlewood here on Ft. Huachuca. This is the second time within months they have discriminated against me and my family. I booked the hotel for a king suite for my PCS travel. We prefer to have the suite since we have several kids under 4 and it makes it easier for nap and sleep times having the extra room. When we checked in they said they did not have any available. And they put us in a standard double queen room. Now my youngest is sleeping in the closet in a crib because it’s the only extra space where we can control the light and noise from the other two who go to bed later.

Later that night I went down stairs to get a broom and dustpan because the two oldest spilled food on the ground. And the attendant insinuated that I needed to sign for it because I would either steal or lose it. While I understand that it’s completely normal to sign for something like this the justification was unnecessary and awkward. On top of that while I was waiting to get the broom I could not help but overhear another customer requesting a king suite. The front desk listened intently and then made a call and gave them the suite which I was told was unavailable. This is completely unacceptable behavior.

If you have a secret requirement based on rank, position or whatever at least be honest about it Candlewood. You current absurd policy just feels like discrimination. The first time was a similar experience I thought was a one off. Apparently I was wrong and you just have an unprofessional staff.

My room was next to the public laundry. The vibrations from the laundry literally make the beds headboard and wall shake. I reported the issue and they moved me when there was an opening in another room.
Rooms are clean and very nice. Staff is very nice and do a great job.

THE CLEANEST most well-kept hotel on an Army base.or really anywhere that I have seen in my life. I retired with over 30 yrs in the Army with plenty of TDY travel and I travel about 25% of the time with my job as a government contractor. IHG should bring a project team and make notes on how to run a hotel because this is the MODEL for how to run a hotel! WOW!
