Top-notch care! I'd give them more stars if I could. We took out 9mo old, Old English Bulldog, Mugz to a certain Vet Clinic where they put him under and stitch up a prolapsed urethra. (At this clinic they don't neuter or do more extensive surgeries.) The next morning, his urethra prolapsed again and was bleeding more than the day before. We called the clinic, but they weren't able to do anything else, so they recommended the next best thing to was to get that part of the urethra amputated and to get him neutered. I called CARE Animal Surgery Center right away and they were able to see us the same day. They had a room ready for Mugz with his name on it when we got there. They had even reached out to the Vet Clinic to get his records from the previous day. They even sent us text messages with updates. It was the little things that made this scary experience extra special. They were able to fix is issue and we were able to get him neutered at the same time. Dr. Bleakley and his staff are AMAZING! Hector was so awesome. The best Vet tech ever, very professional, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Dr. Bleakley and Hector took great care of our boy Mugz and we are forever thankful. They're facility is beautiful, clean and it smells so good. We can't say enough good things about about Care Surgery Center. Will use them again if needed and will definitely recommend.

This vet is like none other!
My poodle fractured his femur and they took the best care of him!
The doctor was so knowledgeable and patient - explaining everything!
Extremely reasonable on the rates as well!
In fact, this is the ONLY vet I have picked my dog up and not had a bill double the estimate

Dr. Seth Bleakley seems like a very compassionate surgeon at first and the facility is clean. The staff seem kind and happy. However, Dr. Bleakley took on a nephrectomy (kidney removal) for my dog and best friend Pepper. I was told it would be a one night hospital stay and she’d be home with me the next day. He hit a vein and she a lost of blood loss during surgery. He then sent her for post operative care at AVECCC in Peoria where the level of care was negligent, I was constantly miscommunicated with, and they did not pay attention to my dog. She died three days later in a kennel alone after a slow painful decline where they delayed urgent care due to staffing issues. I begged them to pay attention to her, and I was consistently told they were understaffed (13: 1 animal to technician ratio in the ICU) and could not care for my dog. I called Dr. Bleakleys office on Friday, the day after surgery before she died asking for help when speaking to the vets at AVECCC and I was told curtly that they can no longer help me and it is up to the vets at AVECCC. Prior to this during my consult I was told the Care staff would be with me every step of the way. The staff at AVECCC does not communicate with Dr. Bleakley. They wanted an ultrasound for her over the weekend but had no ability. On Monday after my dog died, all I received from Dr. Bleakley was an email saying he was sorry, no phone call, no follow up. When I asked for a meeting and asked why he wasn’t able to be available through the weekend he expressed the importance of his family and 5 children. Pepper was my family. He couldn’t at least have followed up on a very difficult surgery for my dog a few times and spoken to the staff at AVECCC? When I told him what occurred at AVECCC, all he could say is “what do you want, an apology? ” “No”. I replied, “I don’t want an apology, I want you to not send dogs there and to follow up on your surgeries. ” Dr. Bleakley told me he would speak to the medical director but did not for 2 weeks until I followed up with him. AVECCC has now changed its story about its staffing and is still unable to answer many of my questions. Care surgery center showed less than the bare minimum care to my dog, put her in a life threatening situation, and then did not follow up and see her care through. I am heartbroken at the loss of my beloved dog. The nightmare at AVECCC keeps me up every night. I feel it is all a sham.if your pet is undergoing something minor, maybe this place is okay, but if your animal may lose its life, this is not the facility to go to. Dr. Bleakley only cares about your money once you are out the door. Pepper was a once in a lifetime dog and I was robbed of years with her and charged a combined $11,000 between Care Surgery Center and AVECCC for sub-par, negligent care when I was promised the best. I will never get over this, but it seems the staff at Care Surgery Center never actually cared at all.

Edit since i cannot respond directly to "Response by the owner":
Wanted to clarify some misleading statements from the owner: 1. Owner makes it sound as though Pepper's case was not likely to be successful: Pepper's cancer had not spread, Pepper showed no symptoms and had perfect bloodwork and 3 surgeons said removal of the kidney should have posed no problem. 2. Dr. Bleakley only had 1 "conference call" with us, not "conference calls" and it took 2 weeks to schedule this with him. He said he would follow up with the medical director at AVECCC and 2 weeks later he said he still had not.

My own cat had emergency surgery and would have died without it. Thank you so much Dr. Bleakley, Tessa, Jessica & anyone else that helped with my baby

My dog had a mass removal in a very sensitive area, I recently relocated from out of state and with many years of vetmed experience i am so happy with the whole experience here. The entire staff was so nice, and my dogs incision is beautifully done and one of the cleanest I have ever seen. Will be keeping them in mind for any future surgical needs for my pets.

We didn’t end up needing anything more than a consult (no surgery) but I still feel the need to leave a review because the care we received was amazing. The front office staff, the vet technician, Dr. Keats - all of them were SO freaking kind, it blew my mind. We are over protective dog parents of a 13 yr old Vizsla. I knew there wasn’t a whole lot that could be done but after an upsetting normal vet visit, we just needed the opinion of someone who had a clue what they were talking about. Best $200 consult fee ever spent. My heart is the calmest it’s been in a week. Thank you Care Surgery for being there - the best people we hope to never need.

Clean office, kind staff, easy to book an appointment. Don’t hesitate to come here - really great people.

Dr. Bleakley and the entire team at CARE are amazing. They did a beautiful job repairing my dogs fracture and I couldn't be happier with the experience.

We brought our notoriously bad patient dog boy here during the pandemic. He's 100lbs of terrified rage when it comes to the vet and CARE helped us get him through his second knee surgery. The team here is amazing and met our dog boy where he was at with his fears and anxieties. We couldn't have been more impressed with the CARE team, thank you!

The CARES team is absolutely amazing. They took such great care of our pup and we highly recommend this group. Our pup had a grade 1 soft tissue sarcoma and CARES scheduled a consult in 11 days. After the initial consult, our pup was in for same day surgery. The wait time inside the clinic was minimal which was great because we traveled 2 hrs for this appointment. The team was very kind and passionate about helping us determine the best care for our dog and transparent about price. They stayed in contact with us after surgery to continue to check in and assess any concerns we had and offered multiple times to speak with our local vet regarding bandage change and suture removal of needed. We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with this amazing team and highly recommend their services and care.

They were able to get our dog in for a much needed procedure with very little delay. Staff was great.

We discovered recently that our cat, Bomfy had been shot with some type of pellet prior to us adopting her. She’s had discharge from her eye and nose constantly, which we were told were allergies. After learning about the pellet lodged in a bone up near her sinuses through an X-ray, we have tried to get her help with multiple veterinarians, but none were willing or able to help her. Thankfully we were referred to CARE Surgery Center and all our prayers were answered! I cannot tell you how thankful I am that they saved her. Previously this year, Bomfy had helped me through the loss of my mom. She’d almost panic to calm me down when I’d cry, all while she was unknowingly in so much physical pain herself. She has been such a comfort…. I owe her the world! I would recommend CARE Surgery Center to all my family and friends. They are amazing!

The staff and techs are friendly and attentive. Dr Bleakley also took the time to explain the TPLO surgery I'm a way that I could understand. He answered all of my questions in a patient and understanding manner. He even took the time to call on a Saturday to check-in, even though the center is closed on the weekends.
I would definitely trust this facility and Dr again.

I cannot say enough good things about CARE animal surgery center. The staff was so kind and helpful. I had to put my cat down and they did everything they could to help with that painful time. Even brought my kids books to distract them while I dealt with the difficult process. They offered cremation services which took away another painful process. The condolences card they sent out was truly heart felt and comforting.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Bleakley and his team at CARE. When our dog ruptured his CCL, my wife and I had no idea what to do and where to go. Dr. Bleakley came recommended from a friend, and what a recommendation it was!

Dr. Bleakley and his team were amazing! They helped us clearly understand exactly what was going on with our dog, explaining to us the potential options (both surgical and non-surgical) to resolve the issue. Even better Dr. Bleakley and his team were compassionate with our dog who was clearly in pain. The surgery went flawlessly and Dr. Bleakley and his team checked in with us frequently during the recovery process. Most importantly, our dog is now back to 100%.

I truly cannot recommend Dr. Bleakley and his team enough. They are fantastic!

Dr's treated our lab like he was their own. Two surgeries back to back. They were communicative, thorough, and had wonderful follow up after the procedures. Top notch facility!

Was given a detailed estimate that was paid for over (3k), they even have a "250.00" buffer built in just in case there is a hiccup. You're told that there is the high end and low end, that if there are no issues, what you paid upfront is your total. Guess what, got a call saying everything was great and no issues, but when we come to pick up our dog, over in extra fees because she needed an extra shot when she woke up due to pain, even though pain management is already paid for and is the same for both the low and the high end! Check your bills or you will be over charged and they don't actually care (paid 200 just for the vet to literally watch my dog walk for less than 30 seconds). If you can go somewhere else, I would recommend it.
