My husband's primary care doctor sent in a referral for Wound Care to the TMC wound clinic. Caremore denied the request. We found this out from the TMC wound clinic. So I guess Caremore wants us to "find other ways" to treat my husband's wounds on his leg. If you are on Medicare - GET AWAY FROM CAREMORE. THEY COULD CARELESS ABOUT YOU. WE ARE!

My husband was discharged from Carondelet St. Joseph's hospital (he has caremore) on Thursday. He should have stayed to get the proper wound care because Caremore has dropped the ball about setting up Home Health. We were told that a "Wound Care Specialist" would call to set up Home Health. This is not true. We called Friday afternoon to find out where they will be coming out. We were told that "Diana" had called and left a message. We have no idea what number she called because my husband's cell number is in their system. It is now Saturday late morning, and we still have not heard back from anyone. I'm just glad that I'm an RN with a master’s degree and a Certification as a Medical/Surgical RN who KNOWS HOW TO DO THE DRESSING CHANGES BUT WHAT ABOUT THE POOR PERSON WHO HAS CAREMORE INSURANCE? They would just fall through the cracks, and they would have the same dressings on since they left the hospital. Then a week or two later, they would be back with a festering wound that turned into Osteomyelitis. CMS would blame the hospital for the 30 day readmit. The dressing changes are every day. We were never given any supplies to do the dressing changes with, so I had to purchase supplies from one of the medical supply places so that we do no miss a day. Shame on Caremore for their lack of Customer service. Since I work at one of the local hospitals, I do know that Caremore is one of the worst to have.

My mom and dad are members of Caremore and they love the staff and care they have received for years. Caremore has been great-highly recommend!

I was told I could not go to the emergency room when the Caremore medical staff knew I had an infection. My infection was ongoing for over a month and by the time I went to the emergency room without their referral, I was immediately taken to surgery. I have had four months of excruciating pain (with many more months to go!) trying to recover from the grapefruit-sized hole I now have in my body. Their incompetent medical staff refused to give me referrals for a CT scan, a general surgeon or a trip to the emergency room when the infection was obvious for WEEKS. I am now permanently disfigured. Also, BE AWARE.when you are hospitalized, Caremore determines what tests you can get. Caremore determines what drugs you get. Caremore determines how long of a hospital stay you get. Your insurance determines EVERY aspect of your care. NOT your doctor. You have many options for Medicare. I DO NOT recommend Caremore.

Driver in a caremore.com suv almost caused a major accident by pulling out in front of me on 50mph road. I made eye contact with the driver so it was fully intentional. I'll never forget almost being killed, this person deserves their license taken away. They pulled into the Del Lago housing community, I honestly see this as a poor reflection of the company itself.
