Cartel Roasting Co. reviews
17This has been our favourite coffee place (whenever we come to Scottsdale) since it opened. They make great coffee of all types (espresso, pour overs, drip, etc) served by friendly, knowledgable baristas. Also, a great variety of beans to take away.
One of the most expensive cups of coffee I have ever paid for.and this is Phoenix! It was my birthday & they didn't do anything special or offer a free coffee. Interior design is weak & it feels like a student cafe. The place should be renamed "Capitalist Coffee".
A coffee shop that doesn’t open until 7am. Huh. Well, 3 stars for the coffee that’s decent when you can align with their hours.
This place is incredibly slow and has no sense of respect for its guests. We waited 20 minutes for a hot tea.
Cartel feels more like a hipster hangout than what you think of as a quintessential coffee shop. Lots of young professionals working away and beautiful art work throughout. The menu is fantastic and has drink that you will not find anywhere else. I got the iconic tonic. Quad espresso, seltzer, lime leaf tonic and grapefruit. Sparkling jet fuel (yes please). Check out Cartel, you won't be disappointed!
First time trying this coffee in Arizona and wow. Coffee tasted amazing, the art was beautiful and my barista was exceptionally kind?
Good coffee and reasonable service. Their masking required policy in recent memory between coffee sips felt extreme.
I love spending money on good coffee and supporting good business but management please fire the two baristas who refuse to steam in the cinnamon into your customers coffee…. The excuse the guy had is oh sorry we can’t do that because our coffee machine is like a “ Ferrari”, lol is this your customers problem or a cost of doing business!? When I pay over $8 for a cup of coffee I expect my cinnamon to be steamed in and not some smart remark about his coffee machine not being able to do it. Provide your paying customers who pay your high prices with better customer service or you’re going to lose a lot of customers. Management please do something about this
Disappointed. One customer in front of me so not busy at all but they still managed to mess up my drink order. Small quantity for the price. When they first came into the valley, there was not much competition. I enjoyed their drinks then, but too many I'd rather go to now instead.
There's something about their espresso that I just love. I find myself craving their iced lattes. This shopping center has such a cute vibe, too.
Delightful place in awesome location. Pro Java in its many forms. Great for a first date or the 20th. Sit inside or outside. This is the view from the bench outside looking south-west.
Coffee is very milky and not a lot of espresso. If you like a not very strong coffee this place is for you. But a group of us went in and all got different things and all of them tasted like milk and nothing like coffee. But the inside is very nice and good environment to sit down and do work.
The employees were friendly. Sparkling herbal tea was overpriced and just fine. My biggest takeaway is they should offer more sizes.
Loved my coffee here! The people who work here are very caring and sharing. Wasn't able to use my gift card here but they gave us speciality coffees on the house! Thank you for being so kind!
Excellent coffee and fun vibe. A lot of home office folks working, so not too many choices on seating.
First time in…gal that took my order was extremely friendly, kind, helpful! My Iced Mocha was delicious Thank you to the Barista
I guess I came in at the right time bc there was no line and my drink was up fairly quick.
Location is great if you’re in Old Town. Very Walkable!
It’s a small, kinda tight space.
Restroom is a bit tricky—gotta go out the door and down a hallway and there’s only one restroom. But at least there’s one!
Good coffee but always painfully slow! Never less then 20-30 min for a drip coffee. To much competition to keep coming here.
