Casey Moore's Oyster House reviews
31 Food is ok, not amazing and not bad.
The outdoor atmosphere is nice.
The waitstaff is usually pleasant, although often overworked.
You can bring your dog.
It’s not as exciting as the ASU students make it out to be but it’s OK.
You used to be able to bring your teenagers with you to drive, but now they’re no longer allowed to be at your table, if you are drinking? We had to leave last month and go somewhere else.
However recently we stopped back and had a good visit.
The worst service ever, the waiters are too rude, nobody helps you with the table, I would never recommend it for tourists since they only accept local identification, and managers are very rude.
The worst place in town! Never go there!
Nothing special unless you think oysters are. The rest of the food was also mediocre. Cool place to take your college date to though.
Ambiance was alright, pretty dark and loud overall but our server was very nice.
Ordered the fried pickles and mushrooms, and the French dip. The pickles were better than the mushrooms, but the French dip and au jus was good as well.
I’ve been frequenting this place with friends for years.we like the atmosphere.the foods nothing to write home about.however you can’t sit down and have a beer if anyone at your table is under 21 now.so much for bringing the dd in with you.pretty lame move.
We had two waiters because we ended up moving tables. Both waiters gave us mixed vibes. They'd be friendly on some visits to the table but not during others, which made us feel a little awkward. It was a cool place though.the food was ok.nothing spectacular. I might go back if it was a group of friends but not for a date. The inconsistent service is easier to overlook when you're with friends but very obvious and uncomfortable when you're with someone you're on a date with.
I see a lot of reviews complimenting the food, unfortunately I can't do the same. Maybe mine was just a flub, but the oysters were still frozen with them being hard to chew. The rest of the food was just mediocre and not something I would return for.
Always a pleasure going here. Staff is nice, drinks are good, haven't tried their food but I'm sure it's bomb.
It was good, not great with a fun, unique atmosphere
Since moving to Arizona in 2010, I have heard about Casey Moore's but just haven't gone. Considering it's location, parking is a bit difficult and the layout made seating a bit confusing. But, it is definitely a unique layout and something to experience, especially seafood in Tempe. I definitely enjoyed their oysters and shrimp and the food was fresh. Price was fair considering the quality of ingredients used.
Overall, it's nice to try it and the decor is cool and unique. However, I can see how for some, the dark interior and bar feel may be a bit of a turn off - maybe sitting outside would be a better option for these people. Would I go out of my way to go here? Probably not. I find the menu pretty limited, as well, as I always love variety!
Service was nothing to write home about.in fact we were kinda left forgotten in the corner next to the bar.
Pretty cool place, not super cheap drinks but affordable. As a side note the fact that you get to pee on a waterfall called the blarney stone is a super big plus for me. Not everywhere has an outdoor bathroom but the blarney stone makes it worth drinking all those extra beers
Very low key, has a great outside area to hang out and drink at or if your grab a bite to eat. The oysters are what you would expect go eat and overall really good.
Service was very slow on the patio and the raw oysters made two people at our table violently ill all night.please be careful and please hire some professional staff. The only person who seemed to care was the host who was at the door.
I've always lived near the ocean and I miss it terribly. Casey's does a good job on seafood but the oysters aren't always as clean as they should be and the fried foods are often a little over done. The staff is great!
Not all it's cracked up to be! Expected one thing and we got a totally different experience than we had hoped for. We can say we tried it. Probably won't return
Great pub place and you can tell its more of a pub than an oyster place. I didn't try any of the seafood and we had pub food. Great place to go when you have a group to go with. The out door seating is great when the weather is beautiful out. You can also tell this is a college crowd. Its not a quiet place but SK much fun.
Great atmosphere. Best bar food in all of AZ. Best value for your $. Service here is exceptional. I love it
Great selection of beers, great food at a decent price for what you are getting, and a kitchen that is open until 1am for all you night owls.
Love this place. Great outdoor seating with lights and tables with umbrellas. Drinks are good and poured generously and reasonably priced. Not a huge beer list but it's enough. Surprisingly good food also. Attracts a interesting crowd too.
Every tuesday come watch Thrashers King of the Road. I guess they have stuff other times of the year but Its far and this is when i come. Meet up!
Great service and surprisingly yummy food! We had escargot (delicious), a french dip (tender and also delicipus) and fried vegetables (HUGE PORTION!).
