Catalina Smiles Dentistry, Oro Valley AZ

Catalina Smiles has been the dental practice I go to for service for about three years. They are courteous, professional and always follow up when necessary. Dr. Vu is the dentist I see and I appreciate his ability to listen to any concerns, and his thoughtful approach during procedures. All the dental assistants have been professional and thoughtful, too.

This was my first time in. I waited a couple of weeks for my appointment, then during my appointment, they told me they didn't have a hygenist to clean my teeth. They asked if I could come back another day. I thought that's why I made an appointment. The people that worked with me during the appointment were GREAT, I was just irritated that I have to make ANOTHER appointment to come back.

Had a new patient appointment with Dr Vu who very calming and just a wonderful provider overall. I also saw Alyssa for an exceptional cleaning!

Dr. Vu is a professional at his work. His numbing shot was so skilled I hardly noticed. I had to have a crown replaced and he and his assistant Jeanie were a great team to accomplish the work. The computer generated crown only took 30 minutes to make and was a perfect fit. I highly recommend this office to use.

I'm very picky and pretty anxious when it comes to the dentist. But had a top notch experience with Catalina Smiles. I had a crown and a deep cleaning for periodontal disease. I was so impressed with how conscientious and attentive the whole staff was to my needs. For example, Alyssa the dental hygienist went out of her way to get the laser supply she was short of to accommodate my appointment. My appointment had to be sooner due to insurance ending at the end of the year. She moved everything around to accommodate. Amazing! Not to mention it was the most thorough cleaning I've ever had. She managed to fix several years of stains and deep bacteria. She's patient and took the time it takes to so a great job. I'm very happy.
Dr. Vu is gentle, professional and skilled. The crown was done in the office that day and it's perfect. I don't even notice it.
I've read many of the reviews about time and expense. I'm not finding their prices higher than other dentists from the past. And yes, I was a little concerned about time on my first appt.when I was on the chair for awhile waiting for the dentist. But come to find out, he was fitting me in due to the urgency of my cracked tooth. He was spread thin. This office is truly nothing but kind, knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of the patients. My only suggestion is that they put up some nice artwork on the walls to comfort patients because going to the dentist can be hard for many people.
Also, Natalie is amazing. She works hard to meet patient's needs and is on top of it with insurance and financials.
You are in great hands with this office.

This was the best experience Iv ever had with a dentist office. Front office staff, assistant, hygienist, and doctor were super nice and welcoming. Nowadays you don’t get this kind of service, I hope they never change and continue to treat people the way they do. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air.

I’ve been a client for one year now and very happy with everything. The staff is very friendly, efficient, professional. Natalie at the front desk is wonderful and very helpful. Felipe cleans my teeth and is a real professional. My past experiences with dental techs has been hit or miss but this guy knows the job. I’m planning on having implants in 2023 here. They do everything here in the office same day. Dr Vu did a crown for me start to finish 2 hours. Gave me good advice on my teeth. I’m a senior and I want to keep my teeth so guidance is important. You will love this place.

The staff was AMAZING. Everyone was so attentive, kind and informative. I usually feel so insecure and nervous but Catalina really made me feel so relaxed! 10/10 recommend!

Second time coming in to see Felipe. He is an absolute amazing hygienist. The best actually. I’ve had a handful of hygienist that have been rough, not very friendly, and just not too great. (At other practices) If you’re looking for someone gentle and caring. Go see Felipe. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing staff. I needed a tooth extracted and I wasnt able to get it down at another location and these folks said if I could make it today they could treat it.
I was seen in less than an hour and Dr. Notice and her awesome assistant did a great job. My tooth was out quickly and she was super attentive to any discomfort. Definitely a provider that truly takes patient care seriously.

I have had extensive dental work done in the past 4 years. My experience at Catalina Smiles on Oracle has been wonderful. Dr Vu is extremely conscientious and has a very pleasant demeanor. I find the entire staff to be friendly and helpful.

Had a 1pm appt, sat in the chair until 2: 20pm, dentist never came in. Got up and walked out. Go elsewhere

Very sketchy. Unprofessional/uninformed “general manager” that need more training.
Trying to falsely claim a root canal from over a year ago. They do not know what their doing, not do they try and help. Them wanting you to do their job for them. Stay away they just want to milk you or your money.

I had nothing but great experiences. The team was great and they did a great job explaining everything that they were doing and listening to what I had to say. They kept me calm during all of my appointments and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend them.

Sofia, Brittany, Iena are wonderful. They always are kind and professional, and my father are very happy with the office staff.

Took a friend, To this place. They don’t tell you anything at all. They just expect you to know what you are supposed to do. And what is going on.

I have been taking my 15 year old daughter here since she was about 7. Everything was always perfect. Now we come in and it takes entirely to long for a basic cleaning. I just figured ok fine I can deal with it, but then I was told my daughter has a cavity. Not only did the office girl Andrea interrupt me telling my child she shouldn't have a cavity, she told her it could be areaditary. Well thanks for giving her that excuse. When I said something to her she didn't even apologize for getting into the middle of it. I will not be going back.

Each time I have visited Catalina Smiles, They have always made me feel comfortable and very welcome. They take care of what is needed to help me try to continue to keep my teeth and gums healthy.

My new crown feels great! Dr Vu was very gentle and made sure that I would not have any pain. Office staff and assistants were very friendly.

Always very welcoming and accommodating. Have had a lot of dental work done here. Dr. Kraft and the staff are great!
