Cedar Ridge Veterinary reviews
19 Our 4 leggers have all been Pts of Docs since early 2000s.
The office staff are the best. The new office is perfect for their use.
We have been thru lots of ups and downs and Doc is a very compassionate man. Nina and ladies are very helpful and loving too.
We travel from Nutrioso so 1 1/2 hour for appointments and well worth it.
Never want Doc to retire.
The staff and Dr. DeSpain are always helpful and are willing to work with us in getting the right care for our dogs. They are knowledgeable and approachable. I love the new facility!
Sometimes hard to get an appointment in a reasonable time frame. Hours are hard to see on their door. Doc is good. I take my cat and dog here.
The ladies at the front desk were so sweet, not only to my husband and I but to our babygirl as well. We were in and out super quick, no wait time for anything. The Dr was also nice and answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend and will be back ️
Great attention to my dog and answered all my questions. Also, I did not try to sell me high dollar food and supplements
I heard about this place through a youtuber. I've trained my blue nosed pitbull in getting pack rats and mice where I live. Well there's this hole (3 ft x 3 ft x 2 ft deep) I had dug out. Well the winds had blown a piece a sheet metal in (3 inch by 1 ft) that I had no clue was in the hole. Well she was trying to get a mouse and while digging for one she had sliced one of her toes a good one. So I called this Dr and trust me he is the best. They close at 5 and I started driving there at 445 knowing it was going to be after they closed but they stayed open. In the end the best part it wasn't all that expensive. He is now Athenas and our other 6 dogs vet.
Took my dog here one time they was wonderful. Today my other dog got bitten bleeding skin and fur torn off and peeling and they are closed on Friday’s and weekends I understand Sunday. Please be open on Friday bad things always happens on Friday
Scooter! A few years ago when we moved up here and we brought Scooter with us as well as her extended family. She was a rescue horse who was at an auction and was about to be sold off to a slaughter house. My wife read about her plight and decided we could use another mouth to feed. So her trek to us began. She arrived on deaths bed and it was a long tough journey back to health. When she was brought up here to Snowflake she began having issues with one of her eyes. My wife called doctor DeSpain and without actually seeing her he prescribed a sedative so we could put antibiotics in her bad eye. Fast forward several years and now she is having issues with the other eye. Dr. DeSpain and his staff to the rescue. More calming medicine and antibiotic to help save her sight. Thank you Dr DeSpain and all. If we were still down in the valley this would have been hundreds of dollars not to mention having to actually set up an appointment for an emergency visit which could take days, so count your blessings that you have Cedar Ridge at your beck and call. Thank you so very much.
Wonderful and understanding. Great staff. Great w/pets. Staff seem to care just as much as pet-parents.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Everyone there is caring and wonderful people. And Dr Despain is great with all of my dogs.
The experience was wonderful. They were great with my dog and treated her condition. Friendly staff and a kind veterinarian.
Dr Despain has no passion for his profession what-so-ever. Being a VET you should be driven by your love for helping animals. I feel cheated giving one star, as none are deserved. If you love your animals, take them some place else.
Cedar Ridge is absolutely wonderful. All of their staff is amazingly kind and compassionate and actively care about your pets. I've had them ask me to call back with updates because they just wanted to make sure my cats were doing alright. I've called them with questions and concerns, all of which they've either answered, solved, or if they couldn't fit my cats in for appointments, they'd always give me the numbers of other vets that might be able to. Dr. Despain himself is also very kind, compassionate, and understanding, which always helps with my anxiety. They're absolutely wonderful people who provide extraordinary service and I will absolutely call them first for anything regarding my cats' healths.
STAY AWAY from this veterinarian. How he even became an animal doctor is beyond me.
If you care about your fur baby's wellbeing at all, PLEASE do not trust Dr. Despain. I have so much guilt and regret for trusting him to care for my beloved pet.
I wish there was an option to rate his practice zero stars. As one star is giving him too much credit.
Wait is always long, don't return calls, always put on hold, are not at all serious or caring about the animals welfare. Pretty unprofessional. There are much better vets in the area, sierra alta in show low is the place the go.
Worse vet in Navajo County, had the vet come to our house to check on our goat who was limping badly said it was a torn ligament, pulled on her legs and left didn't check anything else, just took his payment and left, and at that time our goat had bloat and anemia we didn't know about that, called his office a few days later for him to come over after she was extremely ill said his truck was in the shop and he couldn't come over, his truck was in the parking lot, never called back, our goat that we have had for years died yesterday, will never count on that vet for anything ever again! Pretty sad and uncaring so called veterinary clinic.
Great staff, great doc. Squeezed my injured kitty in for a drop off appointment and treated him great! Reasonably priced. We're new to the mtn.and this experience decided me on who our vet will be. Thanks Dr. DeSpain and your great nursing and reception staff!
Best in the business.knowledgeable and they truly care for their animals and us people. They were so understanding, caring and sympathetic on one of the worst days of my life. So greatful to have found you and will trust all my fur babies to you.
Cedar Ridge is a great place to go for most common pet care needs, but, in my case, where my puppy had been seriously injured, they referred me to a pet hospital in Mesa.
I will be visiting them again, for my dog's regular care.
