I worked as CNA for 13 yrs WA state. I volunteered to help out friend for her 5 wks of radiation at cns. Radiation machine down 4 days in 5 visits, even 2x same day after they resched 2nd appt. I had to walk away from my volunteering to drive. Way too stressful. Incompetent, horrible mgmt no way to run a healthcare facility. Felt so bad/ angry for all those patients who had driven hrs for radiation. " we'll call you when machine is fixed".

Do not come here if you have concerns that your child may have ADHD. You are better off going to a psychiatrist. Although a neurologist can diagnose ADHD because they are supposed to be equipped with the knowledge to diagnose ADHD. My childs pediatrician only sent us here for a determination of if he had ADHD. The doctor we saw, Dr. Lee, refused to even analyze him for ADHD which was our main concern as parents. I do not care to do genetic testing personally because I didn't go there for that. If he does have something chromosomally wrong with him, there is no treatment he's not already receiving that they can offer. Not to mention Dr Lee was not so warm or friendly and it seemed as though diagnosing anything was above her pay grade or knowledge. Also could barely understand her didn't want to be rude, but she was barely understandable (foreigner). A seemingly more with it pediatrician was in the room with us, however she offered no help, just sat there for whatever reason probably as a translator or something with a dumb smile. None of the staff seemed happy to be there as well. An ex con looking staff member checked us out short of any smile or anything genuine. Will not be returning here as it is way far from our home and to say it wasn't worth it is an understatement. If you are looking for a proper medical visit for you or your child, I do not recommend coming here. It is no wonder this facility has a low rating.

Attempted to make a new patient appointment and they stated if the patient doesn’t get all of the records and have them at their office plus the referral in hand, they will not schedule an appointment before one of their providers, reviews the notes and decides if they want to except them as a patient. When did it become the patient’s responsibility to do all of the work?

Worst place ever! I am a patient, and have been a patient with them before. They are prejudiced, Ill educated people working at the front desk. All I needed was medical help and they refused me for whatever reasons. Be prepared.

My podiatrist referred me for an EMG/NCV test for idiopathic neuropathy. But reviews of the place are D+ at best and the appointment wait time was over 7 months. I'm supposed to wait 7 months to receive patient abuse? Another hillbilly healthcare facility in a hillbilly town. I'll pass.

$520 per 5-10 min visit? ! And I found out that they could've done radiology at their facility rather than sending us out to a hospital. Dr. Dai had every excuse to schedule multiple different appointments rather than scheduling ONE appointment all at once. Leaches.never coming here again.

Maybe I'm lucky. Or maybe I'm getting special treatment. In any case, I've been going here for several months and have had absolutely no problem at all with front or back office staff. Dr. Reynolds and his assistants are exceptional. I've had no difficulty scheduling appointments, getting referrals, getting prescriptions, and having x-rays & MRI done. Everything is clearly explained and all questions are answered. It's a clean and attractive facility. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Center for Neurosciences to my friends and family.

Amy Tees has been an amazing healthcare provider over the last few years. She really understands headaches and migraines and is always learning about new medicines and treatments for her patients. That being said, she is the only person on staff that wears a mask. The Center for Neurosciences and Urology office are full of disabled and chronically ill patients who are extremely vulnerable. Having a mask mandate for the employees and patients would make me feel much safer. Very disappointed that they got rid of the mask mandate.

I was transported to Tucson Medical Care in the middle of the night where I was met by
the Neurosurgeon, Dr Rivero, who told me the emergency surgery he was going to perform first thing the next morning to remove the blood from both sides of my brain before I sustain a life altering stroke, including adding drains to remove the last lingering blood over the next two days. I then went to ICU where I was seen daily by Dr Romero and his equally competent staff. My follow up care at the Center for Neuroscience was with Marisela Aguayo, PA who took all the time we needed to explain what was done, showed us the latest scan and gave us detailed home instructions to ensure I gradually returned to good health.
I cannot compliment them enough on their professionalism, competency, caring relationship with their patients.

My doctor Dr. Valdiva is great but the young ladies at registration and MA need some customer service training. Very unprofessional and unfriendly.

My ortho referred me to this facility for nerve damage resulting from a motor vehicle accident (MVA). The facility did not call me but had received my referral. I called 10 days later to schedule and was informed that they do not accept patients from MVAs or workman's comp. Isn't that crazy? Something about not wanting to be involved in the red-tape. I told the staff that it has been years since the cases were closed and cannot be reopened but she said they stay far away from MVAs. Sounds super prejudice to me. What these people don't know, is that many MVAs and workman's comp cases already feel alienated and violated. So refusing to treat us just aids to the depression. Thanks for that.

The Center for Neurosciences administrative staff appears to be completely incapable of communicating requests for records or tests to other facilities. My referral for an initial appointment was delayed for weeks over their inability to receive a copy of a CT scan from a major Tucson hospital. I am now an established patient, but as I write this, I've just been informed that my PCP never received a request for lab work-one which CfN assured me they had sent well over a week ago. This seems to be their normal state of doing business, and it is not easily corrected by a call because representatives are very difficult to reach. I'm seeing them for severe migraines. Trying to correct for the ineptitude of their administrative staff is only making making my health issues worse.

I want to say, I was so worried after reading some reviews.but I was very pleased with the doctor I saw. He is new here.he was very helpful and I am just so thankful for him. Hopefully he can figure out these headaches. Dr. Jacob I think? Anyway, I had a pleasant experience here and will definitely be back.

I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (is a terminal tumor) of the brain last Nov/22. Had a seizure at work and was forced to retired, the day before last Thanksgiving. The surgeon was superb, Brian Callahan, MD. He did the surgery promptly, Fri. 2 days after the diagnosis from the brain MRI. The care at TMC was excellent as well as the radiation treatments directed by Mathew McFarlane, MD, radiation specialist was also very good.
However, the overall care with the neuro oncologist has not been good. Very disorganized often I’m given disjointed information. I have to constantly call for refills.
The ‘on line evaluations’ and testimonials are way below average and are justified. I would not recommend oncology care, at that facility, Center for Neuro Science Center.
Iv’e been an internist here in tucson for 40 years and did my residency here. I had my own practice for over 33 years and never had any serious problems.

Refused to see me for no reason*. Clearly some special club where they don't care about all patients.

*They claimed it was because of a car accident, but basically everyone has experienced some form of accident in their lifetime, so that should exclude everybody. They just don't want to help people who are sick.

I was referred here by my daughter’s pediatrician and I am thankful we were able to find a different facility. The scheduling staff was very rude and unprofessional. After being on hold for 15 minutes someone answered, but she was chatting with her coworkers and yelling at someone regarding what she wanted to eat for lunch. I believe she answered accidentally, but I could hear her encounter with a patient at the front desk and she was also rude and short with them. After hanging up and calling back, I spoke to a different woman who was not the nicest. You would think they would be a bit softer or more understanding working at a pediatric neurology office knowing that parents may be going through a hard time or worried about their children.

I was scheduled for an EMG on Jan 23,2023 at 10: 30 am. I got called that morning and told it had to be rescheduled. It was rescheduled to Friday, Feb 24 at 10: 30. I just got called again to reschedule because they are "scrambling for techs". This is so unprofessional and ridiculous! I made plans and scheduled other appointments based on this one test. I am jumping through all of their hoops for the sake of my insurance and they conduct their business in this manner. I am very anxious about this test to begin with and these people are making it all the more stressful. I will be relaying this info to my primary doctor, who has been waiting for the results of this test.
