Cesar Chavez Park reviews
14 Major renovations/repairs needed here. I just feel bad that the city doesn't appear to care for the children in this area with dangerous conditions and dismal conditions in disrepair. See pics.
Even the restrooms were inaccessible. I saw a little girl hurt herself today after these sharp wires have been protruding since 2020 without any repair to make safe. That was the last straw. See pics.
I the park could be a lot cleaner. Lots of dead fish in water just floating rotting away, No workers around,
Sadly the city can't keep our parks cleaner. This is why I don't understand what they do with all our tax money or the drug money they take from drug dealers. I know for a fact they Don't return the money back to the drug dealers, so where is all that
Super nice park with a golf course, soccer field, lake for fishing, library, etc.they should add outdoor pickleball courts.
Seen a lot of vehicles in the parking lot, went to check it out and come to find out there was a car show going on there today 11/26/23.had a good time over there, seen a lot of nice lowrider cars lifted trucks and other vehicles.the weather was perfect today.
I grew up right down the street from Cesar Chavez Park, I remember taking the wagon with fishing gear n spending the night fishing. The playground, restrooms, n grills were all an added luxury.
Very nice spacious park, quiet and very calming during tha morning hours to get away and jus be, think, or wat ever. I've always like going to this park.
The swings were amazing I love how they named the School and park after Cesar Chavez Love this park Would take my kids here every day. If I could I said the swings were amazing because my stay on the swings all day every other day they on the wall they have rock wall swings monkey bars they have anything you can imagine and on the wall is teacher Spanish. I love this park. I LOVE THIS PARK they also show sign language on it OMD I LoVE IT and it will be food stands coming by every day I LOVE THIS PARK
Fishing, golf, recreation center, 2 dog parks, playground area, tennis, volleyball, and lots
And lots of water
Well, obviously its a little bit too warm right now to enjoy the park, but it's got the Library right there next to it, and it might be okay to run a bit or walk your pets around Early in the morning.
I used to go there with friends back in Mid-March days of this year and had a great time!
There's picnic tables, grills, ramadas, a walking trail all the way around the large, but clean lake. Said walkway also crosses a good sized bridge at one point.
I didn't have a fishing license back then, but I'd like to give it a go, especially if they stock trout in the winter.
The ducks and geese are neat to watch or feed too.
There's not much "riff-raff", or parties happening that I ever saw; during the daytime only, but never had any problems whatsoever.
I'm more than likely going to try my angling skills early next year here.
The pics are just ones I took to remember the place.
My husband and I live in Laveen. Cesar Chavez is very convenient for he and I to enjoy playing pickle ball and seeing our pickleball friends. It's unfortunate that the schedule has changed for pickleball because we have other obligations. The indoor option is a plus. Soon the temperature will cool off then we'll have more options to choose from.
I love going here to eat lunch with my mom but there's a lot of birds begging for food.
This park is great, at least my experience, huge pond 25 acres, lots of parking, fishing my favorite, and mostly plenty of shade
I was asked to leave because a fellow patron was nervous about my medium sized puppy. Apparently medium sized dogs aren't docile enough for the yard selection.
It's a beautiful city park. But that's all it really is. Very good views of the mountains. And a very relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wasn't able to check out the library or the rec center but they look like expensive building's.
