Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Chandler AZ

Portions are ridiculous, food does not come out the way the images portray them, and the food was nothing I would ever want to put in my body again. My family and I ate here for a late lunch and the best part about it is the refillable drinks and the service!

What an amazing dining experience. New waitress but she was so nice and her trainer was super also. The prices are very reasonable we got an appetizer two meals added chicken strips and two huge drinks and it was less then $60. Anywhere else would of been double. So amazing

First I want to shout out the server we had today 11/19/21. They were the absolute best!

I’ve been to this place several times and they never disappoint. The spinach dip is the best. The food is comfort food and then some. Every thing is always and presentable and the staff is by far the friendliest. If you ever visit Arizona please visit Cheddars. You will not be disappointed.

Almost an hour wait (12/4/21)! After the wait it took 15 min before getting to our table to take our drink orders. Got our order and the food was not enjoyable. Bought the 1/2 rack ribs and it was dry and over seasoned. Wife bought the 8 oz steak and it was over seasoned and not cooked to request (asked for medium and it was well done). The kids bought the cheeseburgers from the kids menu and the didn’t like it. Said it was dry. They did enjoy the fries. Although they were short staffed the server did his best and was really friendly and apologetic. We were fine waiting an hour to eat because it’s Saturday night and busy in the area. We were not fine waiting for an hour and the food was not good! Support your local mom and pop restaurants and not these chains. These chains don’t care about the food they put out.

Awesome. Had the strawberry lemonade and it had real strawberries in it! Shared a rack of ribs. Tasted wonderful. Took some home for supper. The bread was heavenly as the potato soup. Will return soon.

This was by far the best place we have had sit down food in a long time, the place was clean, the food was hot, crisp, and fast. Along with a curtios waiter, hands down five stars. Keep up the good work!

Great service and food! Croissants with honey butter to start were delicious. Good flavored ice tea. I had the Monte Cristina which could easily be shared and was amazing. Husband has Country Fried Chicken which was made very well. Our server was helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend and will return!

Ordered the Monte Cristo the sandwich was hot but mine and my niece fries were cold. My sister also had an issue where her meat was hot but sides were cold. Waitress wasn't the best but they were crowded and busy so I can understand

Pulled up to see servers smoking, ick. Walked in and the hostes was unpleasant, didn't smile and barely even greeted us when we walked in. The server was good, and the food was alright. I like the peach tea. First time here, and not sure I'll go back.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The host sat us in the bar with no silverware. We sat for 10-15 minutes before being greeted by the "bartender" who was complaining to her coworker about not being trained. We got our waters and my girlfriend got her bar drink but I never got mine. The coworker she was complaining to was talking very loudly about her 2 DUI's. The "bartender" dropped a buttered croissant for each of us, we still have no silverware, napkins or my beer. The bar was incredibly dirty. Tubs of fruit were left out uncovered. Dirty towels were sitting on the bar not in sanitizer. Food, dirty dishes and dirty glassware were littered across the bar. My food showed up but not my girlfriend's. At this point we still don't have silverware and I'm still without my drink. The person that dropped off my food asked if we needed plates to share. I informed her that we didn't have silverware to which she asked if sat ourselves. I said no and she immediately blamed the host. I also said we were missing my girlfriend's meal and my beer. The "bartender" comes over and says she'll get my beer. I ask for a manager. The "manager" comes to the table and asks how we're doing. I tell him about our experience so far and he tells me he can't fix the past. The rest of our food shows up and the "manager" says "all the food is here now so we're good there" as if that solves anything. At this point I'm fairly upset as well as my girlfriend. I proceeded to tell the "manager" we were leaving and pointed out to him that there were at least 6 blatant health code violations. Never once throughout any of this did we get an apology and they all acted completely oblivious to the situation which makes me question what the kitchen looks like. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I understand that restaurants are having staffing problems but this was completely unacceptable. The utter lack of compassion was inexcusable. If I could give no stars I would.

John was an EXCELLENT server! We can't say enough of how prompt he was and the excellent customer service he provided. The food was just as great as our service. Thank you for a great dining experience!

I have enjoyed their Country Fried Steak in the past, but it was terrible in my visit on 11/22/21. It was a mostly hollow country fried shell of batter. The steak only filled about half of the shell and it was tough. The green beans were full of fiber that was too tough to chew and the mashed potatoes were cold. It was a very disappointing experience.

Great comfort food, huge portions, freindly staff. Every time we go for dinner, we are pleasantly surprised. We try to sample new things when we gonin but we definitely have iur. "go to" favorites (chicken wrappers, country fried chicken, steaks). Dont forget the 2 free honey butter croissants. Tey some of the specialty cocktails if you're in the mood. They all tasre great and they even have Pussers rum for a little more kick. The food.and service keep us coming.back! One of our favorite places in Phoenix.

Pretty much everything was awful except the dinner salad and iced tea.

I ordered kids alfredo penne for my daughter alfredo on the side. Brought out only to say they were out of alfredo. My kid spit out the buttered noodles. We sent it back.

The potato soup was super salty and just gross. Did not eat.

The grilled fish was slimy and had very little seasoning, also made me sick almost immediately. The sweet carrots were cold. The green beans which I usually love were super sweet and not good either.

Regardless of prior positive experiences we will not be back.

Favorite Place! I have reviewed and tried other places and said that they were my favorite. Well. Cheddar's is my all time favorite now! I came here twice in one day. Just Absolutely Delicious! Waiters and Waitresses on top of everything and very very kind and caring. The food - just perfect! I cannot say anymore. We sat outside in the patio and the staff were so kind enough to bring a chair from inside for my grandmother to be comfortable because the chair outside was uncomfortable for her. Just amazing, highly recommend. My #1 restaurant to go to

What in Tarnation is going on here. The food was suprisngly good! I was super surprised cause the prices are hella low. It also tastes clean and fresh and the server put all the extra sauces on my plate. And I liked that, cause I'm saucey. Great job guys. Yummerz
