Chef Alisah's Restaurant reviews
16Amazing Sarma! Friendly customer service! If you go there ask for the Jupi, the tangerine flavored one. This type of food isn’t found anywhere. Don’t be ignorant, go try this.it’s fire
The food was great and so was the service and atmosphere. I can't wait to come back and try new dinners
I'd say this place is a fantastic spot for delicious comfort food. I never knew it existed until the Chef from Ghinis Cafe posted about it on a local business page. I wish I knew sooner. The owners are so gracious, humble & friendly. The restaurant is clean and the decor is a fun purple and white. We had the tatziki and ajvar appetizer. It came with a yeasty type of sourdough bread. For meals my husband had the Chicken Paprikash & I had the cabbage rolls. We LOVED all the food! Good spice, large portions and just so good. I'd say these are the wnd best cabbage rolls I've had in life only topped by my polish grandmother's (and these might be better but sentimentality, you know?).
The only negative thing about this place is that it's a bit tricky to find. Once you are south of Rudasil the plaza Chef Alishas is in looks more like a hotel than a plaza. It's 2 stories and tucked in a corner. There is a large sign on a pole but figuring out where to turn was confusing.
All that being said, I know where it's at now and plan on returning many times. Thanks for a great meal!
Second time visting Alisah's and I have enjoyed both of my visits. The servers and staff were very friendly. The food was interesting, I rather enjoyed the sausages, and the desserts were definitely worth trying, the apple filled with homemade pistachio gelato was particularly impressive. I recommend making sure you order a side of some sort of greens if your meal doesn't have any included, and be aware that they cook each order when it's placed.so it can take some time to receive your food.
Great food and service in this family run hidden gem here in Tucson. We ordered the 2 person surprise platter…beef kebab, chicken, gyro meat, beef sausages and more. Finished with baklava. Delicious.
If you are a fan of perfectly grilled meats only seasoned with salt and pepper, then this is the place for you. Not really my thing, but good quality dirt what it is I think.
The goulash is one of the best things I have ever eaten! The bread is perfect for cleaning your plate afterwards!
Went for lunch to try something new. We were extremely happy we did. The goulash meat just melts in your mouth. And the shish kebob was amazing. Definitely will go back when we are in area.
My friends and I came for dinner last night and got the mixed grill for 4. It was sooooooo much food and totally delicious! My only regret was that we didn't go the route of ordering a bunch of different things to share and try. Thats ok. Another reason to come back! The owner came out and said hello and gift us with mini Panettone! How thoughtful and kind! Can't wait to come again!
I've tried a lot of european food in tucson and elsewhere, and this is the only place in tucson that gets it right.fantastic food up and down the menu.i had never had bosnian before here, to be fair.but it's influences are obvious, i'd say 3 parts central european, 2 parts greek, and 2 parts its own spin on those.the chicken and mushroom dish is superb-that sauce is perfect.the gyro is proper.the sausage is its own thing that i love.yea, some people on here have commented on the atmosphere being drab or what not, and i don't really get that? The staff is lovely.vastly underappreciated place.
I am the most pickiest eater. I don't like cabbage (not great for a polish girl) veges out too.
Won't try anything. But, this place is amazing! I eat the salad, which is cabbage and a light dressing, chef bright out a special plate for us,
This is Bosnian food! I will go back and back.
Small family restaurant tucked in a small retail area. He has even had Guy Fierra (sp) eat there.
Be different try something new.
The best Bosnian food in town! Goulash is the best I've ever had and the Paprika Chicken is ridiculous!
Chef and his wife are the most welcoming hosts very humble people. Love this place!
This hidden gem is delightful. We had the chicken in paprika sauce and my cousin had the stuffed cabbage. Both were delicious. I always try to come here when I'm in town after moving away 10 years ago.
The meatballs and beef and mushrooms were delicious!
Chef/ owner waited on us and made it a special meal! Definitely recommend!
As a visitor in town for the Oregon/Arizona football game, this food was absolutely delicious! Not only were the two plates of food we ordered phenomenal, but the extra plate that was delivered by the chef as a taste of what he prepared his family was ‘smack your momma’ good! This beef/egg noodle plate was divine. Only wish more people were in the restaurant supporting this local business.
Delicious! Every time we drive thru Tucson this is a must stop for us! Family owned and home cooked authentic cuisine.
