First visit was ok. Second visit appeared not interested in helping me. Didn’t feel like he cared.

I was impressed with Dr. Yeung’s approach to the type of surgery he recommended for me. I consulted with other specialists but only heard the traditional procedures. His PA Chad White was also very knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to finally being out of pain.

The problem with my neck has plagued me for the past four years, resulting in cluster migraine headaches, throbbing neck pain, and numbness down my left arm and leg. The previous doctors told me that I was seeking attention, that I was too young for this type of issue, that I was too young to have this type of surgery, and that it wasn't your neck but that we could fix your onset of carpal tunnel syndrome.

A person I met at a baseball game highly recommended Dr. Christopher A. Yeung. I was chewing Advil like Skittles when he approached me at the concession stand. “I know what you're going through, ” he said. Looking at you, I see your tilted position, your neck held, and you are chewing tablets. " If Christopher Yeung is in your network, contact him. His help made a world of difference to me. ”

When I entered the office, my first sign of confidence was an action figure. What doctors have action figures? For me, this is a strong indication that Dr. Christopher A. Yeung is regarded as a medical hero by at least one person.

There were numerous signs of appreciation around the office. Their office staff, performance, and polite approach speak volumes about their doctors. Dr. Christopher A. Yeung, his staff, and the office staff are skilled professionals, from the first greeting to the last word. I cannot stop talking about the group at Desert Institute for Spine Care. Even though this started as a short review, I must say, Dr. Christopher A. Yeung gave me back a quality of life I thought was gone.

I was pain-free immediately after surgery. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Dr. Christopher A. Yeung and his team at Desert Institute for Spine Care.

Don’t be surprised if you meet people from all over the world in the waiting room. I thought life as I knew it was over because of a slipped disc in my back. Christopher Yeung performed my surgery in 2012 and now in 2023 it is still holding strong and I’m working and enjoying outdoor activities. He even visited me in the hospital to personally check on my recovery! He is highly skilled and he cares.

Awesome surgeon! Top notch at what he does… He did a cervical TDR on me 3 weeks ago and pain in my neck that radiates to my fingers are almost completely gone. The rest of the staff are very nice and friendly. His MA Norrell is very attentive and friendly as well. I can’t wait for my lumbar surgery so, I can be completely pain free
I would highly recommend Dr. Yeung and his staff to anyone, as he was recommended to me by a doctor.
Thank you, DISC!

Excellent attention to a major disc issue I had. Ended up with a total disc replacement in my neck. Couldn't have been more pleased with the communication and expeditiousness.

Would recommend DISC and Dr. C Yeung to anybody with spine issues.

I trust Dr Christopher Yeung with my health and life. I don’t trust all dr’s like I trust Dr Yeung because they are not as honest and skilled. Dr Yeung is a real down to earth person who truly cares for all of his patients.

I would not let anyone but Dr. Christopher Yeung touch my spine. Two operations, four discs and not a single day of pain. Great movement in my neck. He is an awesome surgeon!

I'm a 77-year-old veteran who underwent surgery in September 2023 by Dr. Yeung for spinal stenosis.

After 20 years of serious pain and numerous other treatments, I'm happy to report that I'm now pain-free and feel better than I ever have.

I highly recommend Dr. Yeung because he was kind, respectful, attentive, humble, listened to me and my wife, and cared more about us than himself-a rare commodity in today's world.

In summary, he is the BEST doctor I have ever worked with in my life.

Thank you, Chris!

Respectfully,

Ed Murphy.

I am a retired female educator and I have been suffering with back and leg pain for decades, but in the past two years my ability to hike, enjoy playing with my grandchildren, working out, and playing golf all but disappeared.

I tried Yoga, pilates tai chi; I went through physical therapy, acupuncture, saw a chiropractor; tried over the counter medications and then tried steroid shots. There was very little improvement that didn’t last more than a few days. I knew I needed something more drastic if I wanted to resume my previous life. My primary care doctor sent me for an MRI and an X-ray and I searched for a neurosurgeon. I found Dr. Christopher Yeung at DISC. The experience with him has been life changing.

Dr. Yeung said that I would need surgery, a fusion of my L4 and L5 and a laminectomy. I was fine with the laminectomy but the fusion really scared me. I’ve heard so many stories about fusions that went poorly, but I’ve known many people who had a laminectomy and were pain free. Dr. Yeung said he would do the laminectomy but that he truly believed that I needed the fusion. My husband and I went home and discussed what Dr. Yeung had suggested and decided to go with the fusion and the laminectomy.

Dr. Yeung was so professional and the confidence he exhibited when he explained the MRI and the X-ray of my back made me realize that I made the right decision to have surgery. I was still frightened but after my post-op with Dr. Yeung all of my fears disappeared. He made me feel that everything was going to go well and it did.

It’s now six weeks later and I don’t have any nerve or leg pain. I have walked 4 plus miles in one day and two miles on a flat hiking path without stopping. I’m getting stronger each day but I have to hold myself back from doing too much because I feel so good.

I am so grateful that I went to Dr. Yeung for my surgery. He is a kind, patient, understanding very skilled neurosurgeon. I would recommend him to anyone who suffers from any type of back problems. He is truthful and will not suggest a procedure unless he believes that he can alleviate your pain.

This is an update to this post of 2019.
I have finally come to terms with the fact that I have stenosis and spondylitis of the spine. About a year ago, I started to again have sciatica down my left leg. My MRI indicated that my S1 had slipped and was pressing on my sciatic nerve. In August of this year, after having several steroid injections and PT which didn’t help, Dr. Yeung fused my L5 and S1. I feel so grateful to have a doctor who is so knowledgeable and understanding. I feel good and I’ve learned my lesson about trying to do too much considering my back issues.
Thank you Dr. Yeung!

Dr yeung and his entire staff are very professional, and they take time to explain procedure. Dr Yeung was referred to me by two trusted physicians, and I feel that the treatment I received at DISC was as good or better than any of the top practices in the state.
