Always love it here and everything is clean and the staff always looks out for us. Love the high rise lifestyle and plan to stick around and enjoy the property

I've been a resident of this community for a year and have been extremely satisfied with the customer service and overall experience I received during my residency. Natasha, the Assistant Manager, has always been extremely welcoming and helpful during our interactions which is something I've always appreciated. The entire staff has created a very memorable experience with their positive attitudes and dedication to the entirety of the community. As someone who works in the Property Management industry, it is clear this team is an asset to this company. I ultimately decided not renew and move to a different location to be closer to my work but I am absolutely going to keep this community in mind for the future.

Nice hotel, but parking is weird, walls are thin, could hear ppl talking or walking in hallway.

Horrible experience. Been here for over 4 years and the service went from 5 stars to 0. I do not recommend anyone moving in. Prices are high, management is rude, elevators were broken for so long, no AC in the lobby, UPS/FedEx had to call random tenants to let them up because no one is downstairs to let them in.

I agree with Alissa. When the Elevators broke down, they had to spend so much money fixing them. I believe that is why they are messing with the Utility charges, they want their money back so the tenants will in fact pay for the Elevators to be fixed. After all, we have to pay for everything else as well.
This place has gone downhill ever since Property Manager Nate Schwab left 2 years ago. He ran this place in the most professional and courteous manner. He was an Expert with Communication, and was extremely skilled at knowing how to act, how to handle, every situation. He had Weekly Activities, Weekly Wine Down Wednesdays and Monthly Grab and Go lunches with Sandwiches and Chips! Everyone enjoyed living here at that time. He would have done regular maintenance on the Elevators, and would never have tolerated them being broken at any time! He was the Best Manager they ever had. It's sad that he left us, and now we have to put up with people who don't know where their heads are at. Greystar now, at it's worst!

What a terrible experience from step 1. I was interested in this property because of its location. I had read several bad reviews but decided to give a tour. When I arrived I was greeted by Natasha. I mentioned from the beginning that I read a bunch of bad reviews and wanted to know if there was a bigger problem in the building, her response was silent at first then something to the effct of well nobody named me.interesting response. After finding an apartment and being emailed about it being available, I decided to apply online this was minutes after she said it was available. I get an email minutes later from Natasha saying that "I know this may sound crazy; but #XXXX has been leased" was literally minutes after her email. At this point I had already applied and they took my deposit which was weird imo. I have been waiting 2 weeks and guess what zero responses to my emails on getting my $800 deposit back. Very shady business practices I'm my opinion and with no ownership of thier actions i could only imagine what its like to live here. I would never recommend Cityscape Residences to friends or strangers. I don't think you want find out the hard way like how I did. I'd recommend staying away.

Wow WOW WOW!
I GIVE THIS TRAGIC LANDFILL 5 BIG BIG STARS, for being the top Phoenix DUMP!
I have heard over the years how this was the bougie, beautiful elite place in downtown Phoenix.
My current lease is up for renewal, before signing a 3rd lease where I currently live, why not check out into moving into the heart of Dwtn.
First red flags came when I tried just calling the contact number leaving the required contact me back information 3 times with no return call. Second RED FLAG parking try to find access to get in, in an underground sewage stinky garage.
After finding a call box on which looked like a door to a trash room. I had to ring the phone 4 times, first 2 times disconnected, 3rd time hung up on, 4th time someone answered couldn’t understand a word I just said we are your 2pm tour appointment. Door buzzed elevator took us to 1st floor where we found a unstaffed reception desk and a sign to call a number on for assistance! Wait but I just told the static on the intercom in the garage that we were there 2pm!?
Called the number on the desk it was answered by a girl that said (I will be down at my earliest convenience!)
Waited probably 8-10 min we were (APPROACHED) only word I can describe the greeting if you want to call it something.
I still have no clue the name of this poor disturbed girl (she had 2 voice volumes LOAD AND LOADER) Never introduced herself or asked our names, probably why she also couldn’t find our requested tour information I had done on line. Specifically for 2pm.
Talking to her was a real challenge she would ask a question, then 2 more as I was trying to answer the first.
Finally I pulled out my phone to show her what units and the advertised price points I was interested in. She seem to work better with visual communication.
I was courteous what took so long to meet us after calling from the garage and the first floor Dawson and why when calling to ask questions prior to the visit no call was answered or returned, the office was a ghost town when we were there.
We were informed that the prices on line were going to be increase over $500-$600 and that we could lease today even though the units (some wouldn’t be ready for 2 months)!
Finally we were shown their interesting version of penthouses. Prices between $3000-$5000 per month. Every unit had a very undesirable smell. None of them were professionally cleaned. Windows were dirty and I will guarantee you the square footage is way off we are showing a unit that was considered a penthouse 800 ft. ² on each floor when it wasn’t even possible to be equal let along 800 each.
The girl that was showing us the apartments kept asking about high-end, and very worth every and I told her there’s just no comparison. I didn’t know a nicer way to put the fact that I literally felt like I was being showing ghetto apartments in downtown Phoenix. I couldn’t understand when I was there how anybody ever thought this was a high-end facility until prior to writing this, I read the comments, people that live there on your prior management I guess which I would believe that has everything to do with the poor quality at this place is become now I’ve seen it happen another buildings.
Finally, I asked to see the amenities what looked online to be a beautiful pool setting to watch a sunset or sunrise with a green sludge of a pool that we were told they were waiting to have shocked I couldn’t believe I was looking at somewhere that was leasing 1200 square-foot dumps for $5000 a month and they can’t even be on top of the amenities keeping them clean and sanitary and such a simple task. I’ve just keeping the pool water clean.
The gym was not bad. I think that was the only thing that may be passed. As far as acceptable.
Last we asked you to add the amenities available to the residence at the hotel below cities game the girl possibly name Bridget from an email. If not, I apologize told us we could go to the hotel ourselves and then she was too busy. She just didn’t have time to accommodate us.
OMG trust me don’t waste their precious time! Save yours!

I’ve lived in Cityscape Residences for the past year and can’t say enough great things about this building from the management (shoutout Natasha and the team), amenities, views, maintenance, cleanliness and close proximity to great restaurants, bars, Chase Field & Footprint Center and other entertainment. The building is well constructed and very quiet as well (especially for being right in the mix of everything). I would 100% recommend this building for anyone looking to live in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Levels above any of the other buildings I’ve toured or been to in the area.

Tried to tour just now or at the very least see what's available for move in this week. They work by appointment only. Not interested in a community where the office staff is unavailable during normal hours, just to answer questions. Parking is a hassle so it's very dissappoonting that I have wasted my time and money to see this place. To not even be able to get into an office unless you have an appointment it's kind of crazy. And for the office and I have any personnel there at this peak time is kind of crazy as well.

Lived here 5.5 years. Toward the end, after Greystar came in, quality went dramatically downhill while rent went dramatically up. The final straw was when the staff violated my lease in a pretty egregious way. I terminated my lease because of this.

The 4 star rating is a relic of years of good management, but that is just no longer the case.

Elevators are often broken. There are very few community events. Staff are unprofessional in a way I've never experienced in an apartment complex. This is one of the oldest luxury Residences downtown. At this point you can get a better apartment in just as good a location for a similar price.

I've heard all of these concerns echoed by other residents. This place just isn't good any more. Look at the reviews that have the most likes. These are the ones that reflect reality. There's a reason they arent the good ones.

All Residents pay for Community Electricity and Gas. This month they charged $65.00 dollars more just for the Common Electricity. When we contacted the office, they said they had to get in touch with the people who do our billing. After 11 days, they come back and say that, it was a longer billing period, and that is what caused the Increase.
***If that were the case, all 14 charges would have been higher, not just the Electric***
Even if it was a few days difference, like a normal month would be, it would not be that much higher. They said in the coming months the bill will go down and should even out by June? I have heard these words before, and the bill never went down. It's really comical. Honesty is the best policy, and evidently they don't practice that here.

Since day one the property staff have gone above and beyond to make CityScape a home for everyone. Natasha and Courtney are absolutely incredible. These two go above and beyond to make you feel happy, welcomed, and attended to while living here. I moved to the city alone and the front desk staff made my transition so easy. The building is beautiful, clean, and I never heard noise from my neighbors while in my unit. The units are spacious with incredible views no matter which unit you choose. Cityscapes hosts community get togethers and there are a lot of residences that go and make it a fun time. If you're new to the area or want to try downtown, definitely check this property out!

Top 10 reasons to NOT live at CityScape:
10) In all our years at CityScape, not once have all 4 elevators worked simultaneously. This year, there have been instances of NONE of the elevators working, with someone actually getting stuck and being rescued by firefighters

9) Concierge (Or lack thereof)
If you see someone working at the concierge desk, then buy a lottery ticket cause it’s your lucky day.

8) CityScape app to pay rent
I’ve received many emails from CityScape about the ease of paying rent through their app. I’ve had auto payments set up for many years, and never once did I have an issue. That has recently changed. I recently went on the app to check my rent due and was shocked to discover I owed over $3,000! I went to the community manager to see what happened and was accused of not paying rent. I had emails with confirmation numbers with amount shown, and was informed that paying rent on the 1st of each month (which I have done for years and which is the actual due date) was not necessarily correct, and that I needed to “do my due diligence to pay the correct amount”, not the amount stated on the app. That made no sense to me. My only question is, if I underpaid a rent one month (although that’s what was posted, and that’s what was automatically taken from my bank), why wasn’t that amount added to the next month’s rent? Also, why wouldn’t anyone inform me of past due charges (no email, phone call, letter posted to my door) ?

7) Cashier’s check
Referring to issue 8, I now have to get a cashier’s check to pay my “past due” amount. I’m a pharmacist, my husband is a dentist, and we have 7 years of perfect payment history. Now a cashier’s check is needed to basically verify our financial standing.

6) Apartment Renewal
As you can imagine, I have gone through many renewals. But the last one takes the cake. For me, and most of my fellow residents, the renewal rate was increased dramatically (I’m talking about $300-500 a month). The only way to get a cheaper rate, was to rent the exact same unit, but on a different floor. A lot of residents were forced to move, even though they had to pay for the cost of moving without the luxury of working elevators. I don’t understand the business sense in this. I thought you would like to reward your long term, long paying residents.

5) Parking
I was promised two new parking spaces closer to the elevators (since the spot I have is directly across a non-reserved parking space, and my car has been hit. Not only did I not get the new spaces, my old ones were “released” to other residents due to a software malfunction. I managed to get one space back, but my husband now has a less convenient spot.

4) Lack of community events
In the past, CityScape used to have Wine Down Wednesday every week; now most of the residents go to nearby apartments for happy hours. They did recently have a “margarita night”. Instead of a “margarita night”, I think most residents would enjoy an “elevator night”, where all 4 elevators actually worked.

3) Pool Spa Area
I’ve received many emails on how the renovations have been slow, but ongoing. But hey, I was just informed they now have new shrubbery to make it look better.

2) Food delivery
In reference to reason #9, if there’s no concierge working and the butterfly app to let people in is not working properly, your meal will be left downstairs. In reference to reason #10, if the elevators are not working, you’ll be walking down and up numerous flights of stairs just to eat.

1) The new community manager
If you enjoy being belittled, insulted, and being treated like a child, then CityScape has the community manager for you! The lack of awareness, professionalism, and accountability has truly been amazing to witness personally.

Honestly the only good thing about CityScape is Dre and his maintenance team. They are fantastic.
