Clarendale of Chandler

My mom was one of the first residents to move into Clarendale of Chandler. She was very well known there and the staff was quite friendly to her and knew her usual timings and meal choices for breakfast and timings for dinner.

On Wednesday September 10th my mom, who'd been living in independent living since they opened, was found on her floor by my sister. Her last meal was on Wednesday evening when she got take out from the dining room, no one noticed that she had missed 7 meals. No one bothered to check on her or even question where she was.

I realized my mom was in independent living, but it's sad to think that someone that had been there so long was never missed from the dining hall.

She also had a shower problem since she moved in on day one where her shower would flood almost reaching to her kitchen and nobody would ever fix it for her. She was constantly having to bend over and clean up her own water. It wasn't until they finally decided to charge her to order a new door for her to fix the faulty shower that it was finally going to be solved. Unfortunately my mother never got to see the new door put in.

Approximately 6 weeks after my sister found her on the floor my mother passed away she was never able to recuperate fully. When I called to check on her dining meals with the chef he never even said they were sorry that happened or that she had been missed.: (It was a week later that I had heard back from the executive director after leaving him a message regarding the situation.

I truly hope that no one else ever has to deal with something like this!

My brother, his wife and myself went for a visit to this wonderful place and had an appointment with Julie.
Julie was amazing explaining everything this place has to offer and showing us this property.
She's extremely professional and very knowledgeable.
I highly recommend her!

Clarendale is an amazing place from the warm welcome to the spacious and lovely apartments and villas as well as the great dining choices. This community offers so much to impress. The staff, especially Julie in Sales, is warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The decision to move here was an easy choice.

I had the pleasure of visiting Clarendale of Chandler and was amazed by the beauty, welcoming hospitality, and overall good feels from this location. I also work in the healthcare industry and all of the residents of Clarendale that come through have nothing but great things to say about their experience there and are excited to return. I know how valuable it is to give good feedback and share experiences for those who are looking for a place for themselves or their loved ones and want to share that Clarendale is at the top of the top!

Excellent facility, comfortable, clean, great rooms. Julie Mitchell-Sales consultant is outstanding. Couldn't be more helpful. Definitely Clarendale of Chandler is a must see.

I have worked in the senior living industry for over 28 years, I have been to MANY communities. This one is by far one of my favorites! I was so impressed by the friendly staff and residents. I didn't have an opportunity to dine there but the food looked and smelled so good! And the decor and design was so well done. I recommend a visit.

My father has been here for a few months now. I have visited a number of times. This is place is hands down the best I have ever seen. I have visited relatives in three other assisted living facilities to compare to. There is no comparison. The activities, features and food are top notch (love the bacon). But what really stands out is that the staff (everyone you meet and I mean everyone) is happy to be there and happy to see you. That makes all the difference in any place you visit and especially when its your loved one there everyday with them. This place gets my highest recommendation. Feel comfortable moving your friend or family member here!

A place that made my father feel welcome. A social place where he could cultivate friendships with folks from his parish, from shared history and empathetic experiences. The people, employees and residents, embraced my father at a difficult time in his life and helped make him comfortable and serene.

Just visited Clarendale again with my 94-year-old mother, and she's finally decided to add her name to the waiting list for an apartment in Assisted Living. Huge decision, long in the making! I felt compelled to write this note to Traci, the sales and marketing senior director, and want to share it here:

Traci, I want to thank you for our return visit today. Not just for dinner, which my mom really enjoyed, and the friendly visit with Barbara, a resident, who came over to our table to say hello, but especially for the long and compassionate conversation you had with my mother as we sat in the lobby before we ate. It was a beautiful thing, seeing you draw my mother out, listen to her concerns, treat her with respect, and give her as much time as she needed. I felt like crying. I’ve witnessed so many representatives of eldercare facilities talk to my mom or my mother-in-law as if they were five-year-olds when we've visited. You definitely don’t do that. I’m so impressed. Thank you so much, again.

Traci Jacobsen, Amy Castillo, and the staff at Clarendale of Chandler showed great support as this journey was quite new to me. Their knowledge, and genuine care for my mother was their priority, and along the way I learned much from them. I highly recommend anyone with a loved one to look into Clarendale of Chandler as an adult living community (independent, assisted living, or memory care).

I’ve been a healthcare worker for 12 years. I had the opportunity to work at this facility thru an agency. I must say I am truly impressed and my heart is warmed by the love and care the staff provides to each resident. It is absolutely amazing. This is a facility I would highly recommend! Good food, clean environment, safe/well organized care, and loving staff.

The food has been great during my husbands stay, cheers for the cooking staff as well as the waiters and waitresses.

I was out at Walmart on Cooper and Germann heading towards the freeway from the shopping center, sitting at the light to turn left, The Clarendale charter bus nearly rear-ended me then proceeded into the middle lane to go straight only she didn't go straight. She turned left and cut off every person turning left. I assume this was because she was on her phone which was in her hands not on Bluetooth. She appeared to know what she was doing and just smiled and laughed and really didn't care. I called the clarendale to advise of my experience and was brushed off by the lady at the front desk. Considering they did not take my concern at all, I would be very concerned about sending my parents here. Sure, the place looks nice and fancy but the people don't seem to be authentic. Take note, this place may not be as it seems. I would be livid if my mom was on that bus. Hopefully this gets their attention.

1 visit + I fell in love with this marvelous fantabulous place. Friendly, welcoming, helping people. Thank you, Julie + Ryan, for working so hard to make my move in as stress free as possible. Can't wait to arrive when I leave rehab + join this gorgeous community. You MUST come + see to realize how amazingly beautiful + accomodating the facilities are. Everything you could ever want for yourself or your loved ones. Like being on a cruise ship without leaving land.
