I have been a member of CP Central Phoenix for 2+ years, and my experience has been universally positive. I have been impressed by the quality & variety of instructors, focus on fundamentals, excellent cueing and postural corrections I’ve been offered when needed.

The instructors are well trained and offer options for different springs, etc.to students who need modifications (based on height or fitness level for me). The front desk staff are polite, well-informed, helpful and consistently friendly.

I’ve recently been going through an extended period of unemployment, and I have prioritized the expense of my membership for the entire time. I plan to continue as a member for as long as I’m physically able.

Definitely ask as many specific questions as you can! Although I’m new to Pilates, the ladies at Central Phx really expect you to know how their club works even if it’s your first time at this location. Don’t rely on them explaining the memberships, do your own research. If you have an issue arise, they won’t tell you all the options your membership offers, even when you ask them point blank if your membership offers what you are looking for. (It did.) I hope they get better at problem-solving!

I have been taking classes at this location for a while and I can't express how great they are! I have had a family member challenge and needed to make adjustments to my membership and they have been so great. They even check in on my to see how things are going for me in regards to my family member. So many places now just don't care about customer service or their members. Not this location. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

As a plus sized person this studio is amazing, specifically Sydney. I have been in many work out situations and she is the rare instructor that celebrates you, listens to your injurys and encourages you to safely push yourself to improve within the practice.

I come to this studio to take sydneys classes, the other instructors are all qualified and lovely, but she makes you feel accomplished, wanted, and loved.

If you are afraid to try pilates, don't be! Come here, they care and accommodate!

A must do, our instructor Sydney is very professional and helpful. She addresses and understands each of our concerns and limitations. Great atmosphere, I love the fact that I can go at my own pace. Thank you!

In response to the T Ortiz user who posted below, I have to respectfully but whole heartedly disagree with her analysis. I’ve been to many classes with Renee and have never experienced any of the cons she listed. Renee is a conscientious and thorough instructor. Besides what you could see on video, I can attest that she always asks who has injuries and says hi to everyone. She shows the exercise on the reformer bc she cares abt our form and alignment. She is so thoughtful that she asks people before class if they are uncomfortable with her touching them to adjust, to let her know. I appreciate it bc I’m always off center. I think sometimes people project their own unresolved feelings onto other people and id hate for an amazing instructor like Renee to have her confidence or career negatively impacted by the inaccurate review below. #TeamRenee

On a whim I popped in while visiting family to get a quick workout in. Being that I had experience with CP I knew what to expect in my workout as the classes are all geared with the same format generally, regardless of the level of class. I booked my class and within no time received a text from the front desk personnel, Brittany, reaching out asking about my Pilates experience to which I did reply I've been doing it for 6 years and I knew how to modify for my hip issue. Very friendly and professional! Upon my arrival I was greeted by Brittany right away. I got my grip socks on and found an open reformer. I should mention I am NOT a secret shopper BUT I am a comprehensively trained Balanced Body Pilates instructor, as well as a previous CP employee (so am very aware of both teaching Pilates as well as CP corporate) and previous studio owner.
So I have both Pros and Cons here:
Cons:
1. The instructor (Renee) never introduced herself to me nor ask if I had anything going on in my body she should be aware of in our movements (to be fair perhaps Brittany had already told her she asked me).
2. We strictly stuck to the reformer (which I was fine with as I love it) but since I knew what corporate required I was surprised by this.
3. There were several people who stood on their carriages without holding onto the foot bar. In my training this is a HUGE safety risk.
4. If there is a reformer open the instructor is allowed to demonstrate but not continually keep moving (working out) after demonstrating as was the case here, so again, a bit surprised.
Pros:
1. Movement cues were good (I picked up one actually!).
2. Renee did come and fix my posture in a movement to ensure I was in proper alignment.
3. She offered a nice stretch/cool down the last 5 minutes or so.
4. Both Brittany and subsequently Rachel reached out to see how I enjoyed the class, so their customer service was great.

All in all it wasn't a bad experience but for the drop in rate I spent I had hoped for more. Next time I will do a bit more research prior to my trip.
