MY son has been a member of CODAC since 2005. I help advocate for my son. In August, the Alvernon location moved to Speedway. I have never experienced such mass miscommunication and chaos as the new location has shown. We have an appointment ever 2 weeks for my son to get an injection. We wait any where from 2.5 hrs to 1.5 hrs. We keep getting one excuse after another. We watched as the Med.tech, took some one ahead of my son today. I have never been rude to any staff and always try to speak with SS guard near by. I am well educated and informed before I speak. Although my son had an appointment today, the tech never put him on the med list so The pharmacy tech had no idea to dispense the meds. Just by luck she had a supply of this med. I hope these issues get resolved, or I will seek a solution at the highest level. I will continue to advocate for my son. March 3,2023. I want to thank the CODAC ASSOCIATES, for coming together and working on client/ associate communication. I have seen major improvements in the last few visits. It takes a lot of team work to make a change of improvement, and CODAC ASSOCIATES have done a remarkable job! MARCH 31 2023. Son had an appointment with DR. BOONE, PCP, this a.m. I went in with my son so I could discuss my concerns. Dr. BOONE AND HER ASSISSTANT were wonderful at addressing my concerns, as well as the issues of my concern. And wonderful at handling my sons anxiety he was displaying. I left the office feeling completely at peace with having my concerns addressed, and action being taken. THANKYOU TO ALL CODAC STAFF for coming together as a team, in the SPEEDWAY OFFICE. AND all taken care of in a timely manner. JUNE 9TH 2023. While at the SPEEDWAY office this a.m. After seeing his dr. He still had 45 mins to wait until he could get his injection. He has been very sick (nothing contagious) He just did not feel like waiting. He asked at the desk about coming back another time and if they still do injections on just M-W-FRI. Because the employees were new and still not aware, they did not know. So we left. AS we got in our car, the very nice security office came up to us with the information we needed. He went out of his way to assist us. THANKYOU! 06.27/2023. THANKYOU CODAC TEAM FOR COMING TOGETHER AND HELPING THE ADVOCATES AS WELL AS THE MEMBER. The pharmacist/ dept was so helpful in giving me all the printout info I will need to monitor my loved ones new meds. And of course all the other team members, as I was able to view another advocate at the window speak on behalf of her loved one. Quality care comes from a team that works together. And of course this includes the security staff as well!

Took over 45 mins to go in for lab work. No information was provided or updated in regards to when i would be seen. No appointments were available so walk-in was only option.
They told me that the staff “could be at lunch. You came at a bad time”.

I Do not Recommend this Company. I originally went in for suicidal ideations, they put me on some meds. They had horrible side effects, which unfortunately is normal, I quit taking the pills. I contacted the clinic. No one has followed up with me. Its been 4 months. I've quit all those meds. I'm even using their pharmacy and you would think if a client quit taking all his psych meds and tells the pharmacy, and they quit filling those meds, that they would communicate this to the Dr and someone would reach out to find out why I quit taking them. But nope. Especially since I'm suicidal. I haven't seen the Dr but the first time. And that was a video appt. Just another clinic that is understaffed and doesn't care about the people. Ie called multiple times to multiple locations and no one has ever picked up or called me back. I don't even have any future appointment set up. You would think that that would trigger a phone call but nope. I could be laying here dead for all they know. That sounds good actually. Thanks CODAC! Glad you care. SMFH

Been waiting since Nov 18th to get psych meds filled. Each time I called, they ASSURED me they would be sent that day! Avoid getting Shames (kinda fits) if you can. It's obvious she's incompetent.

Edit: Called them back and talked to a real piece of work named Sheena and told me she personally spoke to the pharmacy and verified it. Called the pharmacy. NO MED. I swear to God they're the most incompetent outfit. Good thing NP Sham is at a free clinic because If she were independent, she'd go broke

The only picture that is accurate of this codac is the one that is in the 360 street view so all the other pics are no good for getting a general idea of what the building looks like if your trying to find this place if they were smart they would update the pictures with the right current ones even the one that's actually of the correct building is still of the old institution that was there before the codac and that was Brookline college you can see it all on the side of the building of the 360 street view so it kinda throws people off there gonna look at this and think that Google has the wrong address

I had been with CODAC for years. Even before the COVID shutdown, my NP was always at least 30 minutes behind schedule for appointments. She asked questions which were included in her computer when she pulled up my file. The questions were always the same.

She always gave the same suggestions and gave me the impression that I should be grateful that my situation wasn't worse.

At the office, the computer in the lobby didn't link with the billing department. I never knew what I owed them in co-pays.

Doing appointments over the phone was just as stressful as in-person.

The last time I called to make an appointment, the phone was disconnected. They changed their main contact number and never told me, or anyone else, I suspect.

I will not go back to CODAC.

Been with Codac for 20 yrs, I have learned a lot. Have had jobs I never would've thought possible. For instance have worked for famous actors and actresses, volunteer because my SS paid the bills and I don't need the rollercoaster lifestyle. Thank you Codac.

As of 6/23/2021 still refusing in person appointments, even for seeing the doctor.

- Intake is only 1 hour, or less.
- No flexibility for treatment options; you will assisted toward a different provider if their cookie-cutter program doesn't work for you.
- Getting labs done, I watched an entire staff of psychiatrists, security guards, office personnel, and other patients chit-chat casually about patient issues, while standing in a circle in the lobby, with the patient they were speaking about in the next room.
- The nurse I spoke to about it said it happens so frequently that she actually feels like the office pariah any time she mentions it. She said it might help to report it, and said someone would get back with me.
- No one got back with me. I called 3 times to make sure it got reported and when I finally got ahold of someone they said, "don't worry about it, its taken care of. No I don't know if this happens frequently, I don't work at that site. "
- Therapist have a very difficult time maintaining that patients in group therapy don't gossip about each other outside of group.
- A guest speaker for group opened my file and just started reading out loud from it, in group, in front of me. Then proceeded to brag about how many famous people and politicians he has treated, personally, through this program.
- Concerns brought to my case manager were often diminished or ignored. Check-Ins with my case manager always seemed like a chore to them.
- Time with individual therapists is impersonal. Often times it seemed they didn't even know who they were talking to, they just presented a pre-set lesson based on information in your chart. Requests for more time were denied by CODAC personnel, without even applying to insurance or considering patient needs/circumstances.
- Specialty resources like job-seeking-assistance are influenced by gossip and multiple therapist's input; so much so that the goal of 'finding a job that works for you and allows you to want to work' turns into, "here is what we think is best for you, even though we don't really know you, hope it doesn't make you want to kill yourself that we don't actually care what you want! "
- Finally had enough when I had a family emergency, didn't feel comfortable asking my therapist for more time yet again, realized I needed to talk to my case manager because of this, and didn't get a response within 48 hours when the policy is 24.
- Got a call back within 24 hours of requesting a 'stop service' to be told, "I will talk to my manager to see if this is the correct course of action. " LOL

This program might be good for you if you are struggling with addiction, are so out of control of your life that you really have no idea what you are doing, or you really have no plans to get better, but "I'm going to therapy" sounds good to be able to say. Also, if you don't mind that the office politics and atmosphere are the equivalent to TV dramas of high school classrooms.

If you are looking to track real change that you are making in your own life, I recommend something else as CODAC will have a hard time accommodating anything that isn't on the 'flowchart of pre-determined responses".

They don't take appointments for intake. You have to call each morning to hope the Codac gods will see you. I called Cope and have an appointment next week. Codac is very nonchalant about mental illness and life or death medications. Kudos to those that truly care but the people who run this place don't. They responded by saying that usually they can see you that day and if not they schedule you for the next day. Like an appointment? JUST DO APPOINTMENTS like every other business in the country. It's like they are exempt from providing reasonable accommodations. Maybe I should contact ADA

I'd give this place zero Stars if I was able it's the absolute worst they don't follow up with you and they don't care about you, the only saving grace is the job help specialist but if you're looking for mental health care avoid this place at all costs

"In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, your health and safety are our top priority. CODAC has implemented a plan to limit the spread of COVID-19. "

This is simply not true, I fully understand this pandemic has been extremely hard on everyone. Even more so on the medical side of things. However it's been months since I last spoke with my provider and after three weeks of me trying to get into contact with her nurse (I gave up about a month ago). No call backs, and zero refills on my meds. Not only did they fail to fill my meds the last two visits (despite me calling every week for awhile), the pharmacy can't even get in contact with them. I mean that I actually received a message from my pharmacy telling me they cannot get in contact with my doctor. Which is unheard of to me. I honestly wasn't sure they were even open at this point.

I've been a patient of theirs for over ten years, and I've finally switched from them to a different provider. I'm glad I realized CODAC weren't going to help me, if I hadn't changed then I would have been left without any medications and probably would have been sent to a hospital. In these rather difficult and unusual times I wouldn't suggest going here.

This place doesn’t deserve even 1 Star! A patient called for an emergency crisis due to an adverse reaction to meds and no call back! A call was placed daily for almost a month! Insurance called, pharmacy faxed to call patient ASAP and still NO call back insurance told patient to call Primary Care and sent an unrelated provider to help. Absolutely unacceptable abandonment of patient!

Yes I agree that the front desk was really hectic. I stood there in front of a young girl waiting for her to acknowledge me but she was busy with another girl behind the desk laughing about personal business. But another lady called me and took great care of me. This was my first visit. I give it a rank 5 because the doctor was very nice. He listened to me and tried something new. He took his time and didn’t rush me. So I thank him for that. Because I been to clinics where you talk to monitor (which is very uncomfortable) and psychologist that said here take this and never listened. So we will see how it goes! Hopefully good!
