Colonel Mustard Hot Dogs reviews
17We were looking for a place that had a patio so we could bring our dog, Luke! They have a patio that’s easily accessible for a dog! They provide bowls of water in the patio and dog treats inside! On top of being dog friendly, the food is awesome! We will definitely return!
We were vacationing in Utah/Arizona and driving to Petrified Forest NP when we decided to try this place for lunch. The Colonel makes great dogs! Great food and nice people! Chicago dog ruled! Inside a converted Route 66 gas station.
Best chili dog I’ve had in a while! Food was phenomenal and the staff were very friendly. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant which has lots of artwork and historical pieces that speak to the rich history of the gas station that used to be located at this historic Route 66 location.
Stopped here on our way from the Grand Canyon to the petrified national forest. We’ve been on the road over 20 days, through multiple states and when I tell you this was THE BEST food we had on the entire trip I mean it. I got the Cubano sandwich with a side of Greek fries and my husband got the Chicago dog. My sandwich was double the size I thought it would be and it was mouth watering. The fries were cooked to perfection and their tzatziki sauce tasted like a true homemade tzatziki sauce. My husbands Chicago dog was packed down with fresh toppings, everything about it was good, down to the poppyseed bun. We also got peach and lemon sorbet for dessert, the peach was poppin and that lemon will make your eye twitch, SO GOOD! Everything was fantastic, the service was great, it was very clean, only thing I don’t like is that I don’t live close enough to go all the time!
Best dog I've had in a long time. I'll definitely make this a regular stop when I travel through Holbrook.
My husband and I stopped here for lunch while on a road trip. The repurposed gas station location was charming and the staff was very friendly. My husband is from Illinois (he's a Johnnie's Beef fan) and the beef + the Chicago dog at Colonel's brought him back! Highly recommend!
For Chicagoans a long way from home, or those that enjoy its cuisine, this is the place for a true taste of home after a long morning in the National Park. Enjoy the kitsch, but enjoy the delicious authentic food more. I had, and happily devoured the gyro, but would try anything on the menu. There’s a (friendly) magician in the kitchen recreating Chicago, don’t miss his magic! (Note: Cubs fans seem particularly welcome! Don’t ask about Da Bears).
I had the chili dog (cowboy dog I think) with fries. The chili had great flavor, and the hotdog was high quality. Fries were excellent also.
Absolutely delicious, we had the gyros and chilli cheese fries, they were both excellent. It's clean, well priced and right on Route 66. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
I love this place! Best new eatery in Holbrook ever! I especially love the Italian beef sandwich.
Been looking for a good hotdog place. This was it! Everything on the menu looks great. I wanted to try them all, but settled on my Chicago-style beef dog. Also tried the battered fries. Yum!
Funny enough, they make a better Chicago dog then most places I've been that are run by Chicago natives. At least I don't think the owner is a Chicago native. Either way, they seasoned it the right way. Most places just top it and hand it off to you.
A Chicago dog has sauerkraut, PICKLE, (not relish), tomato, and a pepper. There was no sauerkraut, the relish was gross, and the dog was ok. That was the worst CHICAGO dog ever. The chili cheese fries were also not up to par. Just hamburger meat with not a lot of chili. The cheese was non existent. The regular fries are good.
100% would stop here again! We had the Cubano, Italian, Polish dog and Corn dog and we ate every bite. Get the fries.
Run by a really sweet couple, cute decor and historical signage to enjoy too!
The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I stop by every few weeks on my lunch break. The staff has been more than willing to work with me on my food allergies and prepare me something delicious I can actually eat!
The Italian beef was delicious! There’s a few other menu items I’ll be back to try when I travel through again. Aaron was friendly and outgoing
