Copper Basin Family YMCA reviews
19 Where is the gymnasium? I personally have never seen a Ymca that didn’t have a gym with basketball courts. A indoor running track in mezzanine of gym. I am thankful I don’t need the daycare services.
What is the advantage here to have family membership? Really what can kids do here? They cannot use any of the equipment, they cannot join any classes, They can go swimming but don’t need family membership for this. There are not any leagues that I am aware of for kids at this YMCA. Why would anyone pay for family membership? I don’t get it!
Is it just poor management or is it just the way it is here in Arizona? I grew up going to Ymca nearly everyday, playing basketball, taking various different classes, at nine years old I could come and go from Ymca without parental supervision. We were of the belief that’s why it was there. It truly is different in copper basin YMCA than what my family is used to.
Please contact me if you need some assistance as to how a YMCA should be run.
So I was here today and I got kicked out. There is a time limit we’re u have to only be in the pool for 45 minutes we’ll I got kicked out 30 minutes before not professional tell ur life guards to learn there time.
I work overseas for the government. Due to recent significant events, I was required to travel without much notice. With that in mind, I contacted establishments where I had a membership based on my ability to use the facility, including this YMCA. They informed me that the only way to cancel my membership, was to appear in person and fill out a cancellation form. After finally returning, I made my way to the Y and filled out the form. Due to my inability to use the facility, and my geographic location which prevented me from cancelling in person, I asked if I could recover any of the many months of membership that I was charged for. They stated that neither my government job, nor my ability to cancel in person, affects their decision to cancel or refund. Not really mad or anything, just expected to be at least treated fairly if my job took me out of the country, to a pretty bad place for a few months. Oh well.
Pretty fun place they're kind strict when it comes to swimming in the deep end and even though my niece is a good swimmer because she stopped for a second when she was doing the test they said she failed
All things from employess to the price are above average the only sufferage would have to be the equipment, other than that, the Y gives a very welcome visit.
Terrible. My daughter ended her membership and they are still taking money! Called and of course no one has any record of her closing it.
Austin Clarke is the best employee you guys have ever had! Great service with him and only him:)
If I could put less I would. Very unhappy there and they could care less. They won’t allow me to cancel over the phone, but yet for over a year of not coming here.they won’t refund a penny. Not even the months I been in hospitals, through two rough surgeries and awful recovery, etc. Manager sucks and their actual gym wasn’t even great. Don’t have much and short hours. They could care less about you, just want money and that’s it.
This gym is not customer friendly. Weekends are short hours and during week Monday through Thursday is open until 9 pm. Friday through Sunday it closed at 5 or 6pm.
Lisa and staff were very kind and went above and beyond to help us. She was very helpful and very sweet. So far all the staff is great. My kids are looking forward to summer camp next week. Thank you for youre professionalism and kind heart.
They seem to try, but this place needs to hire a few experienced management personal. Only place I know that caters to the employees and not the members! Hour's of the pool are TERRIBLE!
The price for the location and services is good. The people are friendly, and if you're into classes, they offer them. If you live down in Copper Basin, they are super convenient. And their size and amenities are much better than any other gym I know of within 15 minutes drive.
The staff is always great. The people in the kids center are fantastic. The kids always look forward to going there.
Young Kids work there and management are homeowners that can't get a real job. Very small limited facility unless you want cheap babysitting.
The staff here is great and all of the classes I have been to have been well run. They are also great with the kids!
Horrible hours of operation! Staff overworked. Never seem to get machines fixed or have people cleaning.
The hours are weak, especially for accessing the pool in summer on weekends. Childcare isn't available during all open hours either making it challenging for people who work and pay to use the facility who have children and no other childcare options. The pool policies are a bit excessive as well.
Lifeguards don't keep the kids out of the laps lanes when people are trying to swim laps. To dangerous to swim laps when kids are in and out of them. Collisions are inevitable. Not happy with my recent visit.
Great neighborhood place to go swimming or grab a workout. Friendly atmosphere inside backed by a friendly staff.
