Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Airport reviews
17When I arrived Debbie greeted me and my girlfriend. Debbie was extremely friendly! And even delivered more coffee to our room! Her amazing customer service and friendliness made my stay even better! The parking lot is well lit at night and felt safe. Rooms were also very nice! We choose a non smoking room and that’s exactly what we got! Felt amazing would definitely be staying there again! Thank you Debbie! You are amazing!
This would have been an adequate stay with the exception of the airport shuttle and the food from the bistro. We waited for over 30 minutes at the airport initially after being told it was "by request", then when we requested it the following morning with advance notice, we did not receive a response to the message and were told it had left by the time we got downstairs as it runs on a fixed schedule. None of this was communicated and therefore we had to spend more money on an Uber. Additionally, the bistro food was inedible, and took 20+ minutes for an $8 cup of oatmeal (part of why we needed to uber ultimately). Had any of this awful service and lack of communication been acknowledged in person or treated kindly, maybe I would feel kinder towards this hotel as the rooms are nice enough, however, there was no acknowledgement of the massive inconvenience caused us. I would advise any Marriott members (including Platinum Elite+ members) to stay at other Marriotts in the area.
They have ac breakfast dish served here named Farm Stand Breakfast Bowl, and it is one of the best dishes ever. I took one of their pamphlets outlining the ingredients so I can make it at my place. "I" will be the one who is also making the best dish ever to exist.
Popped into Phoenix for 2 days on a business trip and stayed here since it was so close to the airport - just a 5 or 6 minutes ride. They do have a shuttle but you have to call and wait for it to come get you which wasn't the big deal.
The building is aging and much of the common areas are dark and dated but reasonably well maintained. The rooms were okay, not quite as clean as I would typically see but not bad enough to request a change. And the bistro was pretty limited while I was there but all the hotel staff were fantastic.
Definitely not the place I would take my family on vacation but if I head back out to Phoenix for a short business trip again, I would consider it.
Rooms was outdated. Good location to where I need to go. I updated my service to 5star bc I thought about it. Even though I never had to deal with the service team. They serviced my room EVERYDAY. Not a lot of places do that anymore. So my overall experience was & will always be excellent.
Very nice, well-run hotel close to the airport. Friendly and helpful front desk staff and my room was clean, comfortable and quiet (except for the airplanes)
I highly recommend.
This place was great! We had a nice time in the pool and hot tub, all by ourselves. The rooms were well appointed and everything worked. It wasn’t too noisy even though we were in a middle floor.
It's people like Darrell Washington that make me such a loyal Marriott traveller. Great experiences start and end with great management.
Zero customer service. It’s like the agent was forced to be there. Barely responsive. Not even a smile like we’re not asking for a celebration but I mean … water is 5$ a bottle lol are you kidding? ! The room was okay. Area looks sketchy. I do not recommend
Never plan on being back in Phoenix but anyone and everyone should avoid this hotel. Our flight was canceled and we needed two rooms for the night. Lily checked us in on Sep. 1st, while checking us in she began ranting about pro-lifers and guns. Two days later I called and spoke to Maggie Burns we identified herself as a manager turns out she's not. She apologized but only refunded 1 of the rooms, I rented 2 kings. On Sep. 14th I escalated this to corporate. Marriott is known for standards but this place has none. The staff is clearly mismanaged. It is however a corporate hotel.
The best experience we’ve had today. Thank you to Patti for taking care of us and making us feel at ease. Will be coming back for sure next time we’re in town!
For a hotel you crash at after spending over 36 hours traveling by air and in airports it was fine. Maybe we are spoiled by the Marriotts we stay at for pleasure but this was very no thrills. Our room had 2 coffee cups for in room coffee (there were 3 of us) and no plastic water cups. We are spoiled by included breakfasts not paying extra. It also smelled very, very, very strongly of pot in the hallway (Arizona it is legal) so very unpleasant. I lady at the checkin was very helpful and super nice.
The only nice thing about this hotel is the lobby. The rooms are terrible here is why.
- lights flicker when you turn them on half the lights do not work.
- AC unit sounds like it is going to take off and will wake you up all night
- Outside door does not seal so you will hear planes all night
- pillow feel like Walmart stuffing
In general it is overpriced for what it is, I am shocked it has good reviews.
I thought we booked a well rated hotel until a cockroach appeared in our room. Very disappointing considering the prices.
This hotel was great. I needed a 24hour shuttle to the airport and they provided it. I did have to pay $10/day to park my car but it was worth it for the convenience. The ladies at the Starbucks were super sweet and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
This is the worst place to stay! It is not a clean place at all! The staff is disrespectful! Im sure the response will be "We're sorry for the inconvenience and this is not how we want our guests treated, happy travels", but that is unacceptable when you have so many of the same types of complaints! Either actively improve, or downgrade to a 1 star hotel that we are actually experiencing! See the below response of not taking accountability for poor customer service, and frankly not caring about their current subpar customer experience. Shameless!
Only three stars for spotty WiFi that keeps dropping out, a bit noisy, no complimentary coffee in the morning outside of the one in the room, the restaurant is very limited and really only a counter in the reception area.
