If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, centrally-located, no-frills BnB experience. Look no further. Book at Cozy Cactus. My husband and I have never visited Sedona so were full of questions and Mark (co-owner, host, breakfast master and muffin czar) was full of honest answers. The rooms were clean, well thought through and full of amenities you didn't even know you needed (guide books, Red Rock passes, tea, coffee, microwave popcorn, etc). And the view.the best place for your morning coffee or wine at the end of a long hike. What impressed me most was that all the other people staying at the Cozy Cactus were return guests. That gives you an idea how once you come to Cozy, you don't ever want to try any place else. We are looking forward to becoming regulars! Until next time Cozy Cactus!

Spectacular location, stunning views, great hosts, wonderful breakfasts, away from the craziness that has overwhelmed Sedona proper.

Mark and Heather are top notch. Always at your service, always going the extra mile and making you feel at home. We felt at home the moment we arrived. It's impossible to relay just how wonderful our stay was in a review post but it was just that.

We absolutely love this B&B! What we loved the most:
The super comfortable bed, pillows and quality linens
The amazing views of the red rocks right from our balcony
The tasteful decor throughout the room and premises
The delicious and healthy breakfasts
The sweet dog Tequila
The little touches… the robes, snacks, etc.
The fabulous and friendly Mark & Staff who made us feel at home

We will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cactus. There were four of us and we chose the cowboy suite. Perfect size for all of us. Great views. Very quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting on the back patio to enjoy our coffee and some wildlife viewing. Mark and his staff were very accommodating and we felt like friends by the time we left. Definitely recommend this B&B.

The setting -up against the National park-the rooms-very private and very well appointed -the host -very gracious and informative-the peace and quiet -away from the craziness of the central town-the ease of getting into a restaurant and finally the breakfast with a view!

We had an amazing one week stay! The location is perfect with the breathtaking views and hiking trails right out the back door. The rooms were very comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious. Attention to every detail to make our stay more enjoyable was evident at every turn. Outside the rooms are table/chairs, bird feeders and fire pits while admiring the awesome view. We had access to a complete book of area hikes, menus of local restaurants, a Red Rocks parking pass, cooler, cards, games and more. Our room had a very comfortable king bed, comfortable colored towels, coffee/tea, microwave, mini fridge, dishes and a jar of "Cozy Snax". The breakfasts were delicious and hand made. As great as the view and amenities were, the best part of our stay was the hospitality of the owner, Mark Peterson!

A fantastic location for nature lovers and hikers! The Cozy Cactus is full of laid back comforts and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The view of Bell Rock is unbeatable, as well as the access to trails right beyond the patio. We saw many different birds visiting the feeders and javelinas while sipping our fresh and delicious coffee. Mark provides excellent hospitality. This was our first visit to Sedona. We really enjoyed being tucked away out of the hustle and bustle. This place is a gem!

I can’t say enough good things about this awesome B&B. The caretakers are very friendly and personable, and Mark “The Muffin Czar” earns his namesake, with a delicious new offering every morning to complement the delicious yogurt parfaits and local coffee. The location can’t be beat, with the best hiking trails in the region starting right behind the house. It was an easy and scenic 10 minute drive to get to most places in Sedona, and I liked being outside the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of town. We stayed in the Vortex room with a private balcony overlooking Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, and I just couldn’t get over the view. The room was clean, cozy and spacious… perfect for a couples trip. I really hope we are able to return to this beautiful place!

Fantastic scenery at this b&b. Accessible to a lot of the walking areas in Sedona. Behind the establishment is a natural walking trail. Provide a fantastic breakfast prepared on site and the day before. Very knowledgeable and great inn keepers. You get the privilege of having a recreational pass, access to board games, and room snacks/teas/coffee. Would absolutely come again when I have the chance.

2021 update: we visited again during COVID. Exceeded expectations again! You can choose from multiple breakfast options and they are waiting in your room for you, ready for the next morning. The vegetarian burrito and a new muffin flavor every day were my favorite. Coffee is still ready at 7am, but due to Covid there is no communal breakfast (obviously). The contactless check-in was seamless. The private entrances and large patio make physical distancing easy and stress free. Mark took excellent care of us during our stay.

Old review:

The Cozy Cactus has exceeded our expectations in every way. We did not want for anything. They have thought of everything their guests could possibly need (warm ponchos for the fire pits, sunscreen, guide books, menus for local restaurants). The rooms are very nice and the outdoor area is incredible! The views of Bell Rock cannot be beat. The breakfasts are some of the best food I’ve ever had, and you don’t have to lift a finger during breakfast as they serve you refills on coffee, etc. The dog Tequila is endlessly amusing and I loved having a pet around. Access to hiking and amazing mountain biking trails out the back door! In summary, please don’t stay here so it is always available for when we return.

Sedona is an amazing city to visit and the Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast is the cherry on the top! It is clean, cozy, the bed is extremely comfy and the backyard views are spectacular. Thank you Mark for your kindness and for even letting us use your washing machine and thank you Tequila for watching the hawks for us!

If you're interested in spending time in the Sedona area, do yourself a big favor and book a room at the Cozy Cactus!

We weren't interested in a big chain, corporate or mainstream hotel. After reading numerous reviews, we booked our stay at the Cozy Cactus.

Mark, Helen and Tequila were great hosts! We wanted a very casual base from which to head out on our daily activities, and this fit the bill perfectly!

The views from the patio are fantastic, it's very quiet, with hiking trails right out the back door and only minutes from downtown Sedona!

Full meals aren't served due to covid concerns, but choices of either a breakfast burrito, or fruit & yogurt cup with a cup of their excellent coffee is a great way to start the day!

The staff instantly become new friends, and are very accommodating, and offer great insights to local places to hike, eat and visit.

We'll definitely be back to visit again!

This was our 2nd time staying at Cozy Cactus. Mark and staff are very welcoming. We stayed in the Vortex Vista room which is perfect. Very comfortable king bed. Includes everything you need. Amazing views off the private balcony. Close enough to Sedona without all the traffic. Great hiking trails in back of B&B. Can't wait to go back next year

We had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at the Cozy Cactus. The view is awesome. The bed was very comfortable and every detail was thought of, ex: shampoo, makeup remover pads, swabs, small fridge in room, wine opener, plates, utensils, etc. The take-out breakfast during Covid was tasty, too. In our room the walls were a bit thin so that we heard the conversation in the dining room, but 7: 30 am Sedona time is not early for us. Also, the firepits were nice in the cool evenings. Village of Oak Creek is not near as crowded as Sedona. I think we fell in love with Tequila.
