I have been seeing this doctor off and on for the last few years. He is personable and know all the latest ways of doing his job right.
I'm thankful to know that if I ever have to have a shoulder or knee looked at, I will only ask for him. Wonderful staff as well.

Dr. Ashenbrenner repaired my turn meniscus and told me I could do what ever I want as long as my knee felt good so I did. I threw a softball and heard it pop again. I told him about it and he refused to do a MRI. He told me it was just arthritis in my knee causing all the inflammation. Well I had another doctor do a MRI on my knee and yes it is torn again. So disappointed in Dr. Ashenbrenner. I would not recommend him to anyone!

I had Rtc surgery on 19 April 2018. I am so pleased with the results! This guy really knows his stuff! Amazing! I have full range of motion now! Thank you Dr. Aschenbrenner!

I had a total knee replacement may 30 2018. The hospital stay was uneceptable. My surgery was also unexceptible. He hit a nerve, he says the tourniquet could have been to tight so I have no felling in leg and foot. I have therepy 3 days a week where they use electrodes to stimulate the nerves. When asked to get an EMG he said your insurance probably wont pay for it and it's to early. He simply and with little empathy, wrote a prescription for a foot brace.

Dr Aschenbrener approach and methods left me to get a second opinion of his diagnosis of my daughter’s ACL injury. I know now that he failed to do the Lachman’s test correctly and his lack of empathy for patients’ concerns is disconcerting. Seems like he just wants to maximize how many patients he can see rather than address their concerns.

I had a horrible experience with this Dr. Aschenbrener and his office.

I saw Dr. Aschenbrener because I had a Complex Multiple Ligament Knee Injury.
Dr. Aschenbrener advice/opinion was to start physical therapy, wait 6 weeks for following up, and walk on it as much as I can.

A couple days after my appointment, my leg began to have a large red area that was warm to the touch, and radiated intense pain. It was actually worse pain than my knee pain. I called Dr. Aschenbrener’s office to ask what if I should worry about it and what I should do. Nobody answered so I ended up leaving a voicemail. I did not receive a phone call back for TWO full days. I was not able to answer the phone when his assistant called me back, but her advice was to ice my leg and elevate it. That is it! By this time I had already gone to the ER because of the advice I received from a friend that is a doctor. In the ER they found that I had a blood clot in my leg from the knee injury that was causing all this pain. Blood clots are very dangerous and I had to be put on blood thinners. Had I waited for his office to call back and did what his assistant advice was, I would have ended up in a very dangerous condition. I ended up calling his assistant back to let her know that I had gone to the ER and found out I had a blood clot, I did not hear back from her for another day and a half. By this time I already found A more qualified doctor that I felt a lot more comfortable with.

If you do end up seeing Dr. Aschenbrener do yourself a favor and get a second opinion.
All I will say about this is that I met with 3 other doctors and all 3 that took my situation a lot more serious and disagreed with Dr. Aschenbrener assessment and opinion for treatment.

I was truly pleased with my first appt with Dr. Aschenbrener. He was very nice, listened, answered questions and didn't make me feel he was rushed. He was very thorough in explaining my issue and his recommendations. I will be back to see him. The office also ran like clockwork, nice staff and appointment on time.update: 8/19/17 5wks postop for right shoulder rotator cuff surgery. Surgery went very well. Healing slow but well with PT. See Dr. Aschenbrener in 2 days. Hope the sling comes off. Very please with his office, they are so professional and nice. Just as he is. He really takes his time and cares, you can tell. I will be coming back after the right is fully healed for my left shoulder surgery. Highly recommend him.

Not only did I entrust my knee replacement (4 weeks today) to Dr Aschenbrener, I entrusted my 23 yr old son to him as well. Great Doctor.

An Amazing man Dr Aschenbrener, very personable and very skilled surgeon. He did a hip replacement for my 94 year old grandfather.
