Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham East Flagstaff reviews
23Your front desk clerk gave my son an attitude because he asked for a spoon. Told my son my “family kept asking for stuff” when he was the second one to ask for one but we didn’t see where the inconvenience was. She says we should have asked for them at the same time. After my son came back empty handed and ready to cry we went down to confront her and she said she had other guests to take care of and acted as if it was an inconvenience to be asking for anything. My wife being a Flagstaff native was less than impressed with the customer service and we will not come back to a hotel that can’t manage to maintain good customer service even when faced with busy times. Being in management myself, this is unacceptable behavior. Do better.
Room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety and was included. Ate at a nearby restaurant and it was very good.
Budget stay. Staff/front desk were helpful and attentive to most of our needs. However, that was the highlight of the stay. Room had an odor and still does (musty and stale), the bedding for the pull out couch had red/brown stains (appeared to be blood) and AC had a hard time keeping the room cool. I went to the front desk to exchange sheets for a clean set (the lack of shock from the clerk makes me think this is a common occurrence) the new set looked good till I turned them over and they were black from dirt or whatever was on the shelf. At this point I gave up. It is an older hotel that Wyndham definitely needs to freshen up and update. The breakfast was decent (I don't see a reason to complain further lol) Basically, there are much better comparably priced hotels in Flagstaff. I mean $175 a night isn't really a budget deal. Bottom line if you need a relatively cheap room to crash for a night, it will do. Next time we will stay elsewhere. Disappointing, as Wyndham Days Inn has usually been great for our family as we travel.
Great staff, Nice rooms, great hot tub and pool. I did get my hand slapped for getting coffee in my own togo cup! Over all Nice Place.
I was not impressed with this hotel at all. After a 10 hours drive, our family of 5 arrived at the hotel in the evening. First impressions were less than stellar - the place smelled of weed (when you have to sign a separate disclosure that you will not smoke on your room you should probably keep looking), the room smelled funky, the patrons were loud. Long story short, we called around and found another hotel and left that night. I understand this is a budget hotel but in honesty it is not that much cheaper than a reasonable hotel with cleaner accommodations.
I could not sleep you can hear the people upstairs ruin my trip to Grand Canyon. Totally love indoor pool and jacuzzi
Good value for money.
The receptionists and the waiters were really kind and polite. The room was big, clean and comfortable and the WiFi did work pretty well.
The breakfast was good but there were no sausages or bacon.
Okay, I will start with my 2 positive remarks.the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was pretty solid.
When I called to make my reservation, it was late and we needed to find somewhere quickly that could accommodate. We needed a suite with the sleeping area seperate from the sitting area. We wanted our young kids to be able to sleep while the adults relaxed and maybe watch some tv. I asked them if this was the case and they said 'yes they are separate, by at least 20 feet. ' I probably should have clarified what she meant, but this suite was just an overpriced room.
The carpet and couch was gross, just so dirty. The pull out bed was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever laid on.so my family of 4 had to share a king sized bed.
Desk clerk extremely rude at check in and check out. Won't stay there again when I visit family
Hotel rooms are alright, breakfast is good too, but I don't get why they can't provide real plates, forks and knives.
Great staff. Clean lobby area. Unfortunately the room itself wasn't as nice as the rest of the facility. We had a grungy chair in our room and the sink didn't drain well. Room was a bit musty as well. The maid left an extra touch. That was nice. Breakfast included was better than some. Several choices.
Always great deals at SO. We stay frequently at this chain. Great prices, good rooms and service.
The location on Route 66 is great, but the room we were in was musty smelling, the spa was broken and closed, and there isn't nearly enough parking at this location.
Very clean and the mirror and sink is outside of the shower so you don't have to wait for everyone to get out of the shower to get ready to go.
Room was clean but musty smelling.jacuzzi not working.second hotel within a months time with no jacuzzi.wh wh are the odds.
Very convenient to Rt. 66; surprisingly decent hot breakfast included; overpriced, old motel; insufficient parking; small standard room; hard water; paper thin walls/ceiling; carpets filthy; bathroom old, stains, unclean feeling/smell; limited local dining options; small indoor pool looked more like a public bath; stayed at cleaner youth hostels in Germany & France for less than 1/3 of the price; sadly an unpleasant experience but due to peak season slim pickin's in Flagstaff that week.
Very happy with our stay. Kids loved the pool. We loved the convenience to restaurants and stores in the area.
The staff was nice, pool was ok. It was a little too salty for me and they left the door to the outside opened. The room said 2 queen beds but they were more like full size. It was still a nice experience. I think it deserve 4 stars.
Great location, price, and quality! The entire facility is clean and well kept, the breakfast was great, and it is so easy to get to off the highway.
Worst customer service I have ever had! The Wi-Fi did not work and the representatives had no idea how to fix it and when I asked them to they were rude and walked away the only thing I could say that was pleasant about this trip at least the rooms were clean and I had somewhere to sleep all the other amenities and was severely lacking!
