We have been renting a house with Denali Real Estate for two months now. They were very helpful in the beginning, and very quick to respond. However, the response on fixing things is taking a lot longer than anticipated.

I recently sold the house that I lived in for 12 years, I needed 2 more weeks after closing to move out and clean the house, but somehow Denali rented the house back to me for a whole month for $2200 plus a $2200 deposit I agreed to that, I left the house spotlessly clean when I moved out, after almost two months they refund my deposit for $1500 charging me almost $700 for cleaning fees when I left the house spotless, super clean inside and out. After I fought for my money they only refunded me $1850. Deposits are a scam they’ll find a way to keep it

Thanking everything holy for a review someone posted last week and making my husband take a second look at the situation we were willingly walking into. The ladies in the office have been great, but we recognize that the sweet office ladies won't be our landlord/main point of contact and the person who will be, Richard, has been nearly completely unreachable by email and text during the 2 weeks it's taken to secure a very dirty, subpar home in our neighborhood that was advertised using photos that had to be at least 5 years old given the growth of the unkempt plants out front. These facts paired with mentions of untimely repairs and folks needing to fight tooth and nail to recover money they're owed, this company seems more interested in getting people quietly into rentals and collecting their cash.

They were quick to deadline our signatures and earnest money but not there to answer our questions or ease our concerns beyond directing us back to Richard who we had expressed multiple times was unresponsive. We withdrew our application and while my husband was very kind in offering that family matters arose, I'm here to tell the truth. Family matters haven't arisen but rather, it's a blessing we have family to fall back on in another state as we reach the end of our current lease with no other quality options on the line. We backed out of the application because we were uncomfortable due to Richard's lack of communication and the last thing we want to deal with is another year of slumlords that don't even attempt to put on a show for their customers.

It was a good unit at the great price, what could go wrong?

Arrived: fridge didn't work, showers didn't work, fixtures broken, blinds missing, no bulbs, not clean & filthy in parts, A/C smelling moldy, no FOB for the pool and gym.

Wrote immediately to the property manager, Richard. Took days to get a reply. They fixed the fridge after 3 days, but nothing else. Handyman came and promised to return same day, and became unreachable. No communication from Denali, despite daily reminders. No FOB after 20 days, no repairs, poor or no communication.

Slum Lords, Stay Clear!

I have had a great experience getting set up to rent with Denali Real Estate. They have been quick to respond to all of my questions which was great. They are also very professional and easy to communicate with. They were patient with us as our rental process was a bit complicated due to an out of state move; I appreciate how willing they are to work with us with all of our rental needs regarding our move. I would recommend them!

GO to YELP for the TRUTH! I SHOULD of believed the reviews. What a bunch of incompetent half wits at Denali! By far the WORST rental experience in 10 years! Denali will most definitely lie, harass, and bully well qualified renters. They do not keep their properties maintained. Thank god I am leaving the clutches of Derek, Mike, and their office minions.

I recently vacated my rental property located in Tempe Arizona managed by Denali Real Estate. I just received my deposit back and shocked to see $150 dollars was deducted. This included $10 for two lights out in the guest bathroom, $40 for removing double sided tape off the formal dining room that was present upon moving in, which I have pictures taken by the agent and included in my move in documents, and lastly $100 for hauling away trash. I was required to move out on Sunday, which was one week before the new tenant arrived. Trash day is on Monday and Wednesday. I left the trash and recycle bins in the garage in good faith someone would pull them 15 feet to curb to be picked up by Tempe sanitation, which I was still paying for. Instead I was charge a ridiculous amount of $100. I was never given the opportunity to pull the trash to the curb to prevent the fee. BTW, what is more disappointing is when I moved in to the house it was dirty, walls covered in marks and the carpet filthy. The yard, patio, and upstairs loft still contained the previous's tenant's items that were left behind. The yard was full of weeds, the cabinets had food in them, the refrigerator was dirty and the ice maker never got fixed. Sadly, I had to remove all previous tenant items at my expense, clean up the yard and clean walls to make the home livable. The carpets were so dirty they filled up two vacuum bags. BTW, this was a home that I paid $3300 a month. I recognize $150 is not a lot of money. However, I left the home spotless and better than I found it. All I ask is a full refund of the money owed to me. Nontheless, I would proceed with caution renting any property from this company. If you do, be prepared to be taken advantage of.

I wish I could rate this lower than 1 star. The AC didn’t work during the summer and they did nothing to fix it! Extremely unprofessional and honestly unsafe. Unreasonable expectations for getting out of a lease as well. Would not recommend to even my worst enemy. Stay away!

We just moved into our house and have had a great experience so far. The application process was smooth and easy. Every staff member we have talked to so far has been helpful and accommodating.

Our past rental the landlord chose to go with this company. By far the worst experience from a rental company I have ever had. They charged us for things we did not do. We are currently renting a property through Denali and to protect ourselves we will no longer work with them after our lease is up. - To their response as it won't allow me to comment. We do rent from this company currently and they are spreading misinformation.

I rented my property in Tempe, AZ using this company as the property management service. They were responsible for paying the city tax as part of the disbursements quarterly. They paid each payment late for the better part of a year and half. Late notifications were sent to the company but were never rectified nor was I notified until I received a levy against me due to lates fees and associated interest on my property. They claim it was errors on the city side and refuse to reimburse me for paying the levy for the past year. I will be going to the BBB and would highly recommend handling your own city tax payments if you use this company.
