Desert Botanical Garden reviews
42Stunning wildlife and botanical display. Highly recommend going at dusk to see the lights. Would go again.
Had a wonderful time with my boyfriend and his daughter at Desert Botanical Gardens on a recent Saturday night. Plants were amazing, staff was helpful and it was so fun seeing the gardens in the evening.
Unbelievable. Went when the temp was 110 and dint feel like that high at all. Nice place to visit for 3-4 hours. Good Collection and nice layout. Must see if you are into plants, gardening, cactus etc.
I took my 12 year old son to the Desert Botanical Garden at 7am on a scorching hot day. We took water with us and were glad we arrived so early. It was cool and shady and lovely and quiet - we felt like we had the trails to ourself to explore. We both loved it and would come back again and again if we lived in AZ. There is just so much to see and I imagine every season is different. We also loved the butterfly garden and all the hummingbirds. It was very peaceful.
I loved it though my kids hated it due to heat. We went at 8am and it was already brutal in July. Some shade but minimal overall. Definitely a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it for adults, but not for kids.
Noches de las Luminarias was so much fun! Beautiful night to be in the garden. The electric desert display was mesmerizing! I'd give you five stars but the wine that was served was horrid! Please do a better job with your wine selection!
All the plants are beautiful. This garden is a must see. My family and I had a great time. The highlight of our trip was seeing the quail, hummingbirds, and the roadrunners.
In the middle of a metropolis of over 5 million people, there is a place where you can learn more about Senoran Desert flora than most (out of state.) botanists will ever know.
Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden holds detailed and robust sampling of Senoran flora - curated and nurtured by dedicated staff - supported and promoted by knowledgable docents and volunteer crew.educational opportunities are abundant.rentable spaces available for special occasions.special exhibits & art installations occur year around (check the garden's web site for schedule & cost plans)
We attended the holiday light display over Christmas of ‘18. It was well worth the price of admission and took us ~2.5 hrs to walk through almost all the scenes. Live music, animal encounters, and of course a great set of light shows.
Would have liked to enjoy the Mariachi ladies inside the garden; like indoors where the buffet was being served would have added an awesome touch to a stark area. That room, where the buffer was held, would have looked amazing if it was decorated.
Was there to see the electric light show. The atmosphere was magical. It was cold. The light show around the dedignated trail was beautiful along with the selected music.
My number One place for Phoenix visitors! If you just have one or a half day to spend here, visit the Desert Botanical Garden.
This was a wonderful day time adventure! The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Excited that they offer a night time light show as well
Nice garden. Well curated. Enjoyed the butterfly garden. Took a guided tour which was very informative. Admission is quite expensive.
I love going on the second tuesday of the month! Lots of poke stops, and occasionally they have drinks available!
It's ok. If you like hiking around and looking at cactus, then this place is for you. Honestly, the scenery is no different than driving from Phoenix to Sedona, and that doesn't cost $25 per person.
Is a wonderful place to visit when you have been there for a long time. Great place to relax and enjoy a day.
Beautiful gardens. We attended the Chili and Choclate festival which was a lot of fun. Next time will stay for the light show. The restaurant on site was EXCELLENT. Service and food was worth the trip alone.
Really nice place to walk around and see all the desert plant life. They have pretty cool exhibits throughout the year too.
