I recently had the pleasure of meeting the house manager, Tiffany, as I am in the healthcare field. I could tell how much she cared about her residents right away. Residents were playing a really fun game when I arrived, and as I was leaving, a warm, delicious looking lunch was being served. I would definitely recommend this place to my loved one.

When my mother could no longer stay in her home Desert Gardens was recommended to us by her nurse. She had spent time there with other patients and told us she was very impressed with the cleanliness of the home and wonderful, attentive care given by the caregivers. As expected, my mother was very apprehensive about leaving her home. Tiffany, the manager, came out to the house to visit with mom, and with her kindness, was able to put mom at ease. She even got mom excited about fixing up her new room the way she wanted including putting pictures on the wall. Chaz, the owner, is a special person. You can tell that the residents and their families are very important to him. He explained everything in detail that we needed to know and was always available for any questions or assistance we needed. The caregivers said she was like a grandma to them and treated her as such. We live out of state and they were wonderful about keeping us informed. Most important, my mother was happy at Desert Gardens!

It’s never easy when a family makes a decision that their loved one needs to be placed in an assisted care facility because they can’t care for themselves anymore. Desert Gardens, however, was perfect for my mother and our family. The facility was small enough that it eased her transition from her own home to assisted care. It’s beautiful and homey and always smelled delicious from the scrumptious food they prepared for their residents. And the staff was so kind and loving that I always felt my mother was truly getting the best care possible. Even the visiting nurses told me Desert Gardens was one of the best places in Tucson. We will never regret our decision to go with Desert Gardens and will remain forever grateful to them for the love and care they gave our mother.
