Desert View Market and Deli, Grand Canyon Village AZ

I had the Cuban sandwich. Best pulled pork I've ever had was on that sandwich. Shocked I was. I've lived in MO, AR, TN, KY, and NC and been in almost all 50 states so I know pulled pork.

Stopped here for lunch after viewing the tower, and before heading out to tour the rest of the park. Very friendly staff.

Good food but I didn’t like the way people were in the restaurant. They are not friendly and people are talking loud about your order. No clue if my order was ready, because they don’t shout a number but your order. If more people are eating the same, it’s gonna be a big mess. I won’t come back another time.
The shop itself has friendly people. I don’t know why the restaurant is like this.

There's a pretty limited menu, although prices aren't bad. My wrap had a lot in it but it was super salty and could have used more vegetables and less meat. Plenty of snacks, drinks, and souvenirs are available for purchase. They also sell firewood if you're camping nearby.

This was the only restaurant in the Grand Canyon, so there was no choice. The food taste was bad and the price is too high for the quality of the food.

I got the chicken pesto sandwich at the deli and got food poisoning two hours later! I hadn't eaten anything else all day. It also had no pesto on it. My husband had a Reuben sandwich with no sauerkraut and had jalapeños on it!

We purchased a mug here, that got broken on the trip home. My mom called the gift shop to get a replacement and Crystal was extremely helpful and kind. She even sent us a picture to make sure we got the correct one. Kathryn at the Trading Post packaged and sent it to us and we had it within a week. Both ladies communicated with us so well. Thank you, Crystal, for taking care of this little thing for us so professionally.

After a walk around the park. We had decided to eat before leaving for the afternoon. Wow. The food is amazing. We had the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Canyon Chicken Breast Sandwich. Definitely would recommend both. I absolutely love the pulled pork sandwich. Especially with the slaw. If you're in the neighborhood. Check them out.

I HARDLY EVER LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF RIGHT AND LEFT!
IF I COULD RATE THIS A ZERO I WOULD. THEY’RE LITERALLY RIPPING OFF UNBEKNOWNST CUSTOMERS CONSTANTLY. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING RANG UP. EVERYTHING ON OUR RECEIPTS WERE THE WRONG PRICES FROM ONE DOLLAR TO SEVERAL DOLLARS PER ITEM! THAT REALLY ADDS UP.
There was a sign for Arizona sweet teas for $. 99 but they rang up $2.30. The person behind the register got the manager per our request and the manager told us that some of the teas are $. 99 and some aren’t and that we would have to go through the teas and have them ring up to see which ones are $. 99 if not you’re paying the $2.30 per can. The magnets were up charged on the register by two dollars at least. We got some ceramic tiles they were up charged by one dollar. IT HAPPENED WITH EVERYTHING WE BOUGHT. It might sound petty but it sure adds up for that company throughout the day and every day if you’re making anywhere from a dollar to multiple dollars per item! PER ITEM!
We had to call the manager DILLAN over twice, he told us that he would NOT honor the price listed on the items and said we can buy it or not.
THAT’S MISREPRESENTING THE PRICE OF YOUR ITEMS. HE ALSO REFUSED TO CHANGE THE PRICES SO THAT OTHERS WOULD PAY THE ACCURATE AMOUNT.
Horrible manager and horrible business practices.

Very rude owner, he pretends to not understand what you’re saying and sends you away. I left without buying anything even if there were things I was looking to buy. I wonder why these kind of people run stores, just do something else if you’re not willing to be kind with customers.

This is a small market, souvenir store and deli. Vegetarian/vegan options at the deli and freezer. There is a microwave available in the store. The personal pizza is about 7” across and the veggie sandwich is a black bean/rice patty.

Sandwich place employee was very unprofessional, he literally showed me an attitude multiple time because he was working alone so we can’t ask him any questions. At last I just told him to cancel my order and left. Never experienced such rude behavior.other people felt same way ahead of us.
