Dolce Vita Italian Grocer reviews
17Great little selection for pasta, flour, olive oil, etc. Also great food, deli, and delicious gelato!
Delicious creamy gelato and real mozzarella di bufala; I plan to go back to try the the authentic Italian pizza soon!
LOVE this place! We've shopped, had lunch, & enjoyed just their gelato for at least 9 years. (only place in our US travels we've been able to find genuine Italian blood orange juice)
Totally admire the Owner's defensive replies to the uneducated critics of their authentic Italian recipes.
I’ve been coming to get gelato here for years and it’s always been so good! And everyone has been so nice! I came with some family for my birthday to celebrate and my sister had her baby as well as my own baby, who were both sleeping. We got our gelato and went to sit but the gelato room was full, we went to sit on the grocer side and an other lady working there yelled at us before we even got seated that we couldn’t sit at these tables because they were for the grocery customers. There were 6 empty tables. The weather was cold outside and those were the only other tables we would fit at. So we had to go sit outside with our sleeping babies. If they do not want to have combined business on both ends they need to put a wall between them. Terrible service on the grocery end but gelato service was great the girls working were awesome!
Gelato is de-LISH! Holy Moroccan and South African dark chocolate! The last one I tried, Affogato with coconut gelato-AMAZING! Have yet to try the food, but am intrigued by their menu!
Absolutely EVERYTHING you want from an Italian Grocery and Gelato Shop! Gelato is hands down the best I've had and the food selection is growing with Pizzas, Pasta, hot/cold Paninis, Meat/Cheese boards, ect.
This trip we had a Margherita Pizza, Cheese board, picked up some (hot) Gardianes, and a to-go of Gelato (they are and were more than happy to do half and half of 2 flavors! Just ask!) We will keep going as long as they keep doing what they've been doing, since my first time there have never had anything but an above and beyond experience!
They didn't have what they said they had in stock. I drive over 40 minutes to see that this place is simply a small restaurant, not a market at all. Very few items to choose from. Hardly anything in stock
Food was good. Short staffed but the young man did a good job explaining why and was as quick as he could be.
I had lunch here today with my dad and uncle and we had the best time. Our server, Roy was absolutely wonderful, offered great recommendations and went above and beyond.
The paninis and boards are just as amazing as the gelato; we couldn’t stop talking about how great our experience was and we can’t wait to come back!
Very delicious authentic Italian food! Although maybe they can add some sorbets to go with the gelatos!
Went to the service counter with a concern, and that was not any help at all. The person I spoke with was very rude
So i asked to speck to someone else. WELL that was a BIG mistake.
LOVED THIS PLACE
BUT NEVER RETURNING
Dolce Vita is not only a small Italian grocery store. But they also have some of the best food I have had in my life. The fact that you can go there and get a bite to eat, get some gelato, and get real Italian grocery items (not the American "Italian" stuff) is wonderful and it does bring a whole new level to your Italian dishes.this place is nothing short of amazing
Picked up some gelato for my granddaughters and I. First time visit. Busy place, but great customer service. We tried cookies and cream, mango and stupid delicious. They were really good, although the stupid delicious was sugar overload. I will come back and try a different flavor.
This place should not be called an Italian grocer or restaurant. There food is terrible. I asked fore a pizza and got something topped sauce and cheese and a half a bottle of oregano not to mention unsliced and uncooked
Disappointed. Called for reservations for restaurant week, no problem. Got seated right away, 15 min before reservation time. Then, no service. Finally got some waters. Then a basket of bread. Dry bread, no plates, no oil, no balsamic, nothing. We asked for oil/balsamic and nothing came while waiting for our final member of our party. It is impossible to miss any extras (we did have tiny salts and peppers) on a small table of 6. Then, ordered glasses of wine. 30 min later, no wine because staff was struggling with other patrons and receipts. And it was 30 minutes because we left at 8, which was 45 min after we were sat. They were not prepared to be a part of restaurant week. Left to actually be served food elsewhere.
Best gelato ever! We stop by for dessert at least a few times a month, so so good and so many fun flavors! We've also had dinner there a few times. Yummy gnocchi, love the paninis!
This is easily one of the top 10 sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. The ciabatta was delicious, the cheese so creamy and well-portioned, the prosciutto so flavorful and well-balanced. Such a cheap yet fantastic sandwich! The service is great, the vibe feels comforting. I love this establishment and will be returning shortly! Also the grocery part is great, I just didn’t buy anything. Highly highly recommend the paninis though!
