I wish I had read many of these reviews before deciding to come to this place. I chose this place because they prided themselves in having Christian foundations. In my opinion, they can definitely try harder to be more Christ like towards their patients. I have been utilizing their services for the last 2 months and the client service is terrible. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Several times I spoke to Trina regarding some questions I had, and she was arrogant and impatient. I had my first visit with Mark, and he seemed unprepared and annoyed. Both the first and second visit he was rushing me out of the room and I just didn’t feel cared for. I followed up with him through email and by phone with questions regarding an assessment he completed for me and it was not possible to reach him. It took several attempts before I could get a hold to him. When I showed up to pick up the report, I found a couple of pages from another patient with confidential information. Not the best way to handle confidential information. I decided to switch providers to use my insurance because the out of pocket expenses was just too much. This last time I had Jan, she was too rude and condescending. Her approach was very aggressive, and she talked to me like I had no clue what I was talking about. I was told she would have all the documentation ready prior to seeing us and the day during the appointment she was looking through the reports. She did not appear to be familiar with my family member’s information. She did too rush us out the door. Being in the counseling field myself I am aware that the counselor-client relationship is crucial in counseling process and doorways does at very poor job at prioritizing this relationship. My hope for writing this review is that if you decide to go to this place or have gone here in the past, do not allow this experience to dictate your desire to receive and seek help. Not all places are like doorways and there are a lot of caring counselors out there whose priority is building rapport with their client and helping them feel loved and cared for. I was very discouraged with these experiences I can say for sure I will definitely be switching facilities. In all fairness, I did encounter one staff member that was unlike the other three, Giulia the office assistant. Although, one day I spend my whole lunch hour trying to explain a situation to her she was by far the nicest and most helpful staff member I encountered at doorways. I would encourage you to look at other alternatives before coming to this place. If I could score a it a zero I would.

Love the energy of the professionals at Doorways as they really understand teen psychology! I have referred girls there for eating disorders and ocd/anxiety and have found the staff to be helpful and easy to coordinate treatment.

Updated facilities and centrally located. Compassionate team focused on supporting teens and families.

They used to be located in this heavenly white building up around Northern Ave. That building and surroundings was so positive for my emotions. I felt so good, it was extremely therapeutic. I was on medication then and was transitioning to get therapy in a support group but it wasn't for me. The staff and Dr. Hamilton were very kind and understanding and provided new and different medications which really helped for a few months. Later on I wanted to get more psychiatric services but by that time I was already past the age of 25. Time is precious, I'm thankful for the experience I had here even if it was cut short.

They have been wonderful for my teen. We tried other places first, and I am so glad we found Doorways. They really relate to teens and their program was very effective.

Most unprofessional place I have ever been to. The front office workers were very rude it was my first time coming here and the person that was rude to me I asked for her name to complain and it was Trina Harper I didn't know the process and she made me feel unwelcomed and disrespected with her rude attitude. I had an appointment with a registered dietician Jody Pannozzo and she was one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met. During the appointment she couldn't find papers that were supposed to be given to me and she was just so unorganized and unprepared. She even stated her self "Sorry I can't seem to find anything today" her whole demeanor was unprofessional. Although she was nice, she was not professional at all and I am paying a lot of money to receive services from a prepared professional, which she obviously was not one. That same day I had an appointment with a counselor Lindsey Dies and she also had an unwelcoming and a bad attitude. She made me feel like just another client as she would ask questions during the initial session and would type in her laptop and wouldn't even look at me. She didn't even attempt to make any conversation with me to get to know me as that was my first time meeting her. I immediately decided that I will no longer receive services from Doorways because of my bad experience. I would also not recommend anyone to come receive services from her because it is one of the most unempathetic and unprofessional places I have ever been to, so please do not waste your money or time here, as quality services are not provided as they lack competent providers.

Don't waste your money or insurance on this clinic. I had my daughter going there for an eating disorder. My daughter was having a bad day one time and she tried to call her therapist. Her therapist was off that day but she was able to call her at home.the therapist gave her HELL for calling her at home and said that if she wanted to talk to make an appointment in the next day or two! I called the owner Jan Hamilton and all I got was her voice mail. I left a message for her to call me. NEVER received a call back. If you or your child have some sort of issue/s.don't go here.

Nikki is wonderful! She has helped my daughter so much. My daughter felt a real connection with her immediately. Nikki is compassionate and attentive. She never judges and you can sense that she genuinely cares. I love that she shares scripture with my daughter and prays with her. I am so thankful that God brought us to her!
