Dyson Dermatology PLLC reviews
20Caring personnel make a difference. Carefully listened to my concerns, gave me feedback. Unfortunately paying for all those sunbathing sessions, so had to have biopsy, and spots frozen.
Dr Dyson and her entire staff were very pleasant, courteous, friendly and made me feel very comfortable. All of my questions and concerns were addressed. The staff were also very efficient
It would be helpful to leave with something in writing about important things to follow up with
Very competent staff all the way around, and personable. I never feel rushed and get my questions answered.
Highly Recommend! I felt incredibly comfortable when I entered the practice. Dr. Dyson was thorough, kind and knowledgeable. My concerns were addressed in a positive and efficient manner. You won't be disappointed!
I absolutely love Dr. Dyson! The front desk staff and office manager are extremely rude. My kids also see her husband as their pediatrician and whom ever does there billing is completely incompetent. Every time we have an appointment whether it’s for the kids or at the dermatology office their is always a charge or balance even though we took care of it the last time.
They have a policy of your 15 minutes late you have to reschedule, but if their 40 minutes behind then it’s fine. Everyone’s time is valuable, I understand people need to be on time for appointments, but then the front desk told me she’s running behind️. So why would it matter then, I would be waiting then right? Very rude at the front desk and very disappointing. I left in tears. My appointment was at 11 and I got there at 11: 17.
I am a 74 year old male and have been to many medical offices and in all those years I have never had a worse experience than at Dyson Dermatology.
It started out by being seen by a PA I thought I was going to see a doctor not told I wasn’t. I was starting to have a skin problem but the PA did not see anything wrong. She said if it got worse I should come back. It did get worse and I tried to make an appointment but they said the next opening was 2 months away. I said that would not work. I had several family events that I had to attend. After 3 weeks the skin problem got extremely bad so I called back and finally got to see a real doctor.
He examined me and took to biopsy’s and had me get a blood test. Gave me some meds and to come back in 2 weeks to take out the stitches and check my progress. I went back in 2 weeks and that doctor did not work there anymore. I was never called about the doctor being gone. I asked to see another doctor to go over my test results. They said I was only there to have the stitches removed. I said no that I got a call to go over my lab results. They said no and I said do you have the results, they said they did not have the blood work only the biopsy report. I had gotten the blood work 2 weeks earlier but they never checked to see why they hadn’t gotten it. They told me I would have to call the lab myself.
I asked if there was another doctor there that could look at me and go over my test results. They said there was a doctor but the doctor was busy with other patients and I would have to make another appointment. I said I am under your care and needed to know if my treatment was working. They said I would have to come back.
I said please give me copies of my records they did and I left.
If I could give them minus stars I would.
Very very poor. The office manager has absolutely no bedside manors.
Do not use Dyson Dermatology.
Dyson Dermatology sent me to collections very quickly. They said, "we held your account as long as we could", but when I asked how long that was, they couldn't tell me. I told them that I had not received some paper statements, and they said they sent them, and that I should have known when my appointment had been and therefore that my bill was due. The representative I spoke with kept saying she understood my point, but kept making a counterpoint repeatedly, defending their actions. I told them they were going to lose me as a customer, which is disappointing because I liked the actual dermatologist, but that didn't seem to matter to them. Buyer beware.
I came in for a basic skin cancer screening, because I'm fair skinned and had a bunch of new moles pop up, and since some of my moles have grown rapidly recently i, was concerned. I saw an older man for my appointment, and he barely even looked at my skin, and the areas i was worried about weren't even looked at at all. I feel like I paid money to have a very uncomfortable and awkward talk for 5 minutes, and then get dismissed.
Dr. Dyson and her staff are very professional, kind and do a great job. Many dermatologists don't check your entire body from your scalp to your toes. I had talked about it for years but was never pushed to move forward with a BBL laser treatment. I recently had it done and the results were amazing and it was reasonably priced. I had sun damage in the form of unsightly brown spots all over my face, neck, chest and hands. The downtime was minimal and so was the discomfort after the treatment. I am so happy to have clearer skin and younger looking hands.
This is my second visit to Dr Dyson. Basic checkup to make sure the sun isn't killing me. She performed the exam and even removed a 'barnacle' very quickly and professionally (within about 5 minutes). Now for the reason for 3 stars: My appointment was at 10AM. As requested, I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The lobby was almost empty when I arrived. I was brought back to the exam room at 10: 15. I sat and waited for Dyson to arrive for 30 minutes. She was done by 10: 49. They care very much about their customers arriving on time since they will charge you $25 if you miss your appointment. However, they do not value your time at all. I am a professional with a busy schedule. I am hyper conscientious about making sure my customers do not need to wait for me. In general, making people wait for you is a sign of inconsideration and at times is a power-move. When it comes to customers, it shows that you take them for granted.
I will continue to go to Dr Dyson when necessary, but if I have to wait more than 15 minutes past my appointment time again, I am going to walk out and reschedule. I'm tempted to send an invoice for my time. If you value your time, I would urge you to do the same. Unless customers speak up and act, things will never change.
Here’s the hack, if you’re early you’re penalized. They run the schedule in order of appointments. They run 30-40 minutes behind so If you’re 45 min late, you’ll get in before the other folks who got there early or we’re waiting. Seems dumb but that’s the hack. Be 30-60 minutes late for faster service.
Dr. Dyson is the best. I will recommend her to everyone as she is very professional and kind. I enjoy visiting a doctor that has compassion and just plain gets it. I have been on a no junk carbohydrates, no sugars, no bad oils, diet for 18 months. Dr. Dyson commented and was excited that I look younger than I did in my 2015 pictures. I agreed and told her that it must be the diet. Keep doing what you are doing Dr!
Honestly I was eager to be seen here, but I had no idea how unprofessional and apathetic it would be.
My first appointment went fine, until I started talking to the doctor.
It was rushed, and she was just trying to sell me services and products rather than treat me.
The dermatologist I saw (can’t remember her name) didn’t listen to my past medical history at all, YET didn’t fail to point out flaws in my skin that i didn’t bring up as a concern at ALL, and prescribed me topical medications that were both not what I told her I needed.
On the way out they gave me a card with login info to review health info with Dyson. As the secretary wrote in my username she asked for my last name. I obliged. After I walked out i saw she significantly misspelled my name. After I spelled it out for her twice. It’s not even an overly difficult name.
Really?
I asked her for the same prescriptions I used before because my skin is extremely fickle. She wrote up generic and less potent prescriptions for me.
I found this out on the phone with their pharmaceutical delivery service, ABC Pharmacy, which is absolutely HORRID.
Trying to ask about the pricing to the phone representatives was an utter goose chase. They didn’t know why the pricing was what it was and after I explained the prescription i needed is covered by my insurance they still messed up the pricing on it, telling me it would cost me hundreds, despite my knowing that these medications were covered 95% through my insurance.
Also, ABC never recorded my address correctly on file, after confirming at least 4 different times. I felt SO bad for the delivery drivers literally careening around the block trying to find an address that DOESNT EXIST while calling me and having to come back out to deliver my prescriptions when I get back from work.
*I tried a generic version of the medicines Once to save money, hopeful that it would be potent enough, i.e. If a Derm prescribed it for me, and it caused me to break out INSANELY BAD. *
Then there was miscommunication between the clinic and ABC Pharmacy and i was told a prescription I badly needed was on hold because the wait time to fill it hadn’t been up? I asked them to explain it because I’ve never encountered that in 2+ years on the medicine. They couldn’t and told me the doctor would have to OK it.
On the phone with them then, I was told they would call me after the doctors at dyson ‘got back from lunch’ DESPITE the fact that the derm at Dyson was seeing the patient I was replaced with right then. Also the receptionist told me the doctors assistant was trying to reach out to ABC right before I walked out. Like i’m convinced they dont communicate at all.
This was directly after my follow up appointment fell through because I showed up and they took someone else instead of me because I failed to sign in. There was one other person in the waiting room. So instead I sat there for 20 minutes wondering how many times id have to reiterate myself to get the medicine I need.
So glad I just walked out to avoid giving more money to this place.
.
Dyson Dermatology only gets a 1/5 rather than a 0/5 because I eventually got what I needed after arguing with them and all the incompetence.
Best dermatology experience I've ever had. Dr. Dyson took her time to listen and was very knowledgeable, experienced, caring and personable. I've been to a few other Dermatologists in Tucson and shes my favorite. I'm referring all family to her! The office experience has been exceptional as well.
This clinic is really not good. My wife saw a dr and gave her medicine and that medicine increased the spots on her skin. Stay away if you can and don’t get stuck with those people.
Our family has trusted Dr. Dyson to be our dermatologist for many years. She has always been so helpful and open to helping us with all our dermatology needs. The office is always very clean and happy to help!
I rather enjoy this place it is comfortable, clean and the staff is very friendly. Dr Tabitha Bayne, she is a great listener and handles my symptoms appropriately and with gentle care. Tabitha is very patience with me, very patience with me.
Jeresha is fantastic. Thus far I have been very pleased with my treatments. Jeresha has a gentle hand and is pleasant to speak with during your treatments.
Brief- impersonal- prescribed without asking if I was taking anything else or if I had any medical concern or was trying to conceive.
Then they send the bill to an old address- even though I provided my ID when I came with my new address. When I noted this they told me: It is ultimately your responsibility to let us know of any insurance or address changes. Well you had my new insurance card - since you billed my insurance but you didn't update my address when I came in.that seems like it was your front desks error. Super frustrating.
Dr. Dyson is very professional. I appreciate how she listens. Her staff are friendly and kind. Her office is sleek and clean.
