East Valley Diabetes & Endocrinology reviews
22The best experience ever. Literally Dr. Wadwekar changed my life in one visit. He got to the actual cause of the problem and I couldn’t be more grateful. I am a 42 year old woman with a few things going on that are all intertwined and he was able to weed through all the symptoms and results and figure it all out. I feel like a new person. I could not recommend him more. So hard to find someone that cares about listening rather than just prescribing.
Thieves. Charged my insurance $450 for a 6 minute appointment, charged me a $50 copay and then we’re going to report me to collections if I didn’t pay an additional $97. I ALWAYS ask if I have ANY remaining payments and they said “no, you’re good”. Don’t do it, there are better places. I promise.
Been going to East Valley Diabetes and Endocrinology for a long time and really like how convenient and friendly the staff are. They make a difficult disease less difficult on my life. Thank you for all you do for me.
The reviews should tell you what you need to know. I was seeing dr. Wadwekar and it was the biggest waste of time and money. He spends minimal time and could not answer questions. I switched I a dr in Phoenix and she knew the answers and so confidently. She upped my dosage and I am healthier than ever. I have many other complaints about this dr but please don’t waste your time. Look at the reviews, this is not the place to invest or trust with your health.
Wow. Run. They answered most questions with I don't know. Questions like why don't you do a reverse T3 test? Or I cant even get someone on the phone here to PAY you. Or I'm sorry shouldn't you know what type of thyroid meds I take? !? ! Frightening. Or why do you think I have been hypo for so long.answer, well I guess we could do an antibody test to see if its your hashimotos.yikes. Then he asked me if I wanted to cherry pick other tests off the sheet to have done.who is the doctor. RUN.left the office and got my money back. They wouldn't have cared if I didn't pay anyway. Then when they saw that I was leaving they gave a shrug. There was no questions or anything as to why a patient would get up and walk out.
I went to see Dr. Wadwekar for roughly 8 years and was extremely happy with the care I received! He always listened, was compassionate and cared about my whole health. Now that I have 11 more chronic illness diagnoses I'm seeing a special primary care and a few other specialists for my case, otherwise I'd still be going to Dr. Wadwekar. He's fantastic.
The poor reviews on here are accurate. I called to speak to a medical assistant to renew my prescription and the person who answered the phone is awful. She cut me off as I was explaining what I called in for just to end up asking me the questions I was getting ready to provide had she not cut me off. She acted as if I was bothering her by asking her her help. Why are you there if you don’t want to work? I had no reason to be upset with her By asking a simple question and she treated me so poorly in that conversation.awful. Go somewhere will people will treat you with respect. There is no reason to pay them salaries when they are rude.
Called to reschedule appointment at 1: 23 and they were closed already. They claim to be open until 2: 00. I left a message to cancel and for them to call back so if I end up with a missed appointment charge, at least I'll have this comment. Posted hours are not accurate.
I’ve tried several Endocrine doctors in the valley and Dr W is the best. He has my thyroid under control and I trust him. I’ve been seeing him for 5 years. I definitely recommend him.
I've been going here for a few years now. This past year or so they haven't been able to get my thyroid levels to regulate at all. I basically get my blood test done, go in, they tell me my levels are off they are adjusting my medicine and ask if I have went gluten free yet and that's it. Done. They haven't considered any other testing or further investigating into my symptoms or problems to see if there is any thing else causing under lying issues
I've been seeing Dr Wadwekar for about 4+ years. They had some changes in 2017 that caused some hiccups with their system but they recognized the error and reverted back. I've never had any problems otherwise. Dr Wadwekar is really nice and friendly and has helped me tremendously. I never feel rushed during my visits and the lab being on-site is very convenient. I highly recommend you gave them a shot. It's a very nice and friendly staff that simply had software errors that caused communication problems for a couple of months. They fixed it. It's ok. It happens.
I have been a patient of Dr. Wadwekar's for a few years now. I find him involved, interested and answers my questions on his portal quickly. I have Medicare and have not received any complaints from them on his exorbitant fees as indicated in another review here. I would gladly recommend him and his services to anyone.
I believe that everything in life and the way we approach interactions and situations, is purely a mind setting issue. I been coming to see Dr. W since the beginning of my twin pregnancy 4 years ago. He is a very knowledgeable Doctor and I appreciate his time and guidance. Yes, I agree that the front person is not always in the most cheerful mood possible, yet I personally appreciate the fact thats she tries. We all have to wait our turn for pretty much everything nowadays, at the dentist, at the grocery checkout. Well you get my point. Dr W is a honest and caring doctor, and if you try to be more tolerant and overcome little bumps in the road; you ll realize that in fact the inconvenience is just a mind set switch away. Have a great week!
Disappointed in incredibly long wait time to get an appt with Dr, despite being a patient for over 5 years.
Waited an hour and ended up walking out
People dont have all day to sit and wait
Rediculous
I've seen a lot of endocrinologists in the Valley over the last 25 years. Dr. W is one of the better ones by far. He is knowledgeable and keeps up with continuing education on his specialty. You may not like him wanting to make sure he gets payment from insurance, but wouldn't you want to get paid for your work as well? He is a very good and solid Endocrinologists. You can ask him questions, even challenge him with your ideas for your treatment and he is all ears. If you read reviews and see that people wait forever in the waiting room and this turns you away, then make a point of making a first morning appointment and you won't have that issue.
They will no longer help me for missing an appointment. If you are not perfect, they are not the practice for you.
Dr. Wadwekar is a wonderful dr.and very knowledgeable. His approach to medicine is progressive. I really appreciate how he does procedures and labs right in his office. It saves a lot of hassel of making other appointments. I saw another dr.for a thyroid biopsy and she referred me to someone else to have it done. It was very painful. I was bracing myself for another painful experience, but he used a much smaller needle and I could almost not feel it. I also love the patient portal he uses so you can access your own labs, appointments, etc.at anytime.
The office staff is horrendous. They have the worst attitude and only have one objective. To get your money. They constantly overbook and get offended if you complain. This was my last visit and would highly recommend avoiding this place.
Their front office staff is very rude and always have an attitude when I question something. They need to learn customer service. The doc is very stiff. Not welcoming at all. I guess medical school doesn't look at personalities.
