El Pais Motel & Campgrounds, Tucson AZ

Can I just say how cool this place is! It's a must stay if you are passing through. The owner is super nice and incredibly helpful and warming. Great service and they have great wifi. Nice pool. What a find! It’s a complete experience. We started off by booking one night to check it out. I think we will stay for a few more days…. The artwork, unique spaces and classic setting are more than I ever expected. Great hosts, nice pool area, big screen movies, great music playing and so much more! We are already planning our next trip so we can come back!

We used Harvest Host to find this place for an overnight stay in the RV and loved the decorations. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Looking forward to the finished sites for future use as well.

I am a videographer and Toni and Jade have been kind enough to allow me to film a couple music videos at The El Pais. I love this place and every time I come back it is somehow better. You can see the passion the owners have for the property and it is reflected in how they have become a staple of the art community. There are so many amazing things I could list about The El Pais Motel but let me just name a few. Each room has its own unique theme (comic book, musicians, tropical, ect), there is incredible local art adorning every surface, the property is like a time capsule with amazing antiques from generations past, a deep and well maintained pool, the ability to show outdoor movies on a big screen at the pool, an outdoor and indoor lounge, and tiny homes that are so comfortable (I have stayed in the tiny home as a guest twice). It is such a unique space with kind people - I genuinely love it.

If you haven't visited El Pais Motel, you are missing a wonderful and funky place. The murals, restored old cars and old polished travel trailers are an amazing site. Staff and management are very friendly and accommodating. A must visit.

Toni is wonderful. Very good host and keeps her place clean. Close to the downtown area. Only have a few spots for RV parking so reservations would be wise.

Absolutely wonderful atmosphere! I work here and love this place, it is my second home! Tonight and Jade are the best hosts ever! Come visit us.

This spot was beyond cute and fun! We stayed here as a Harvest Host member. Toni was great and helped us back in upon arriving. She’s got free range chickens that literally follow her around, it was so fun to watch! We paid the $20 for full hookups and enjoyed the plus of being behind a closed gate at night. Definitely recommend staying here!

This place is a gem. A wacky vintage/retro motel and RV park with a great pool and shaded lounge area. The friendly owner has assembled an amazing collection of 50’s, 60’s and 70’s vintage items - including really cool 1950’s campers that are being restored as guest rooms. If you want a boring predictable campground or hotel room - this is not the place for you. But if you are open to surprise, adventure and delight, you can’t beat El Pais. I had a grin from ear-to-ear my entire stay here. Bonus: it is very close to the awesome riverbed bike paths Tucson has - you can ride directly from the grounds. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Tucson.

You will absolutely love this place if your into funky. The hosts are fantastic.the movie by the pool was great.free fresh eggs and coffee in the morning. We will make this a permanent stop when we travel through the area.

Toni and Jade have creatively built a wonderfully mid 20th Century retro establishment. It is an experience worthy of a multi-day stay!

Inquired about a stay through Harvest Host via their online request form that showed availability. No response either way. Emailed Toni and got a sorry response that they were too busy and were booked for weeks. Not sure if they should be a HH since they are overwhelmed with their popular demand and can’t currently handle it.

A cool and funky place with a pool and clubhouse! Owners go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need.

So awesome! Cute little place. Vintage redone the owners are awesome they provide so many things even the big name places don't provide like fresh eggs and free laundry and a whole clubhouse that has lots of things to do:) full kitchen, outdoor grilling, and a movie at night! All for a great price!

We just left El Pais with our travel trailer and 4 kids. We stayed two nights, but I wish we had been able to stay longer! Toni is so welcoming and has made such a lovely spot for travelers. You can see her love of vintage in every single item there.there’s a club house, games, coffee, pool, kitchen, washer/dryer.and you are made to feel very welcome to everything. There’s great music playing and just a friendly vibe about the whole place. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!

We found this quaint place on harvest host. What a hoot! Toni was beyond accommodating. I challenge you to find a more local, affordable, fun, retro, and unique place so close to town. This place is a labor of love and it shows in all the little details. We will be back. Thank you for the fresh eggs!

My husband and I found this place to be eclectic and fun. Toni goes out of her way to make your stay just right. The motel is undergoing a major renovation but it is worth checking it out. I hope others will support her efforts to bring the 1948 motel back to life. She has great plans for future improvements and she is working very hard to make it all happen. We stayed in our RV in one of the spots and felt safe and secure. We loved all the neon lights that came on at dusk, too.a blast from the past!

Wonderful little Motel and community. Lots of vintage trailers - some that you can rent! There's a clubhouse with a nice kitchen, and everything is vintage in the clubhouse! There's also a nice pool with speakers with oldies music, and an outdoor patio area. Movies at the pool on weekends!
