El Taco Rustico reviews
19Quesabirrias are great here but OMG the Tripas tacos are amazing. They even ask you how you want them cook. For me right in the middle.
Excellent service, the person who helped me was very friendly
but the head taco tastes a lot like cumin and the tortilla looks like it's from the supermarket,
The carne asada taco was not as bad as the head but I DO NOT recommend it, there are many other places to go for the same price and much better flavor in the meat and the tortilla
Just a solid experience.
Food is excellent, service is friendly and prompt, and it feels very cozy inside.
The flavours are great, it's hot and fresh, and is very fairly priced. Portion sizes are healthy, and I left feeling pleasantly full after having the Especial Rustica.
Would happily come again.
You don't go to places like el rustico for ambiance. You go for the grub and this place delivers. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
The quesabirria tacos were actually amazing. It's on the more expensive side as far as tacos can be in my opinion, but it was well worth it. Not a must-visit, but a quality spot for lunch if in the Tuscon area. Definitely check it out, atmosphere and service was great.
So i happily had to check for myself if this place was worth all the raving I'd heard about ETR. I ordered 6 quesabirria tacos with onions and cilantro. Well, sadly it didn't match the reviews. I ordered at the counter to go. I received one taco that had cheese, five that had no cheese and no onions or cilantro. Two of my tacos were black from burning with one having a big hole in the center of the shell. $26 for a huge disappointment. I think this happened because i elected not to tip on the tablet.
First of all, I have to say I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. The carne asada didn't even look or taste like carne asada, it honestly looked like canned dog food. The calabazitas were rotten and the cheese smelled really bad! Not to mention the ribs were under cooked and tasted like cooked blood. Overall it's not worth if or the price, you're better off just eating actual dog food.
First time here and it did not disappoint! This place absolutely deserves all the rave reviews it gets. Didn't think it could live up to the hype but honestly exceeded my expectations. Put this place on your list for sure. All I got were the tacos but they were awesome. Can't wait to go back and try some other stuff. Wife got the quesabirria and said it was amazing. If you haven't been here before then definitely check it out.
Took my family to try the birria. I am a pescetarian so I did The Shrimp quesabirria. It was top shelf. I love this place but it's just too small inside. The prices are very reasonable & whenever I get to that side of town I'm stopping in.
Tacos de tripa are my favorite gorditas are really good too.should try the quesabirrias yumeee
Awesome local place. Huge portions at a great price. Quality of food was 5 star. Great experience!
Its hard to describe how good the food was from this little gem on Oracle, imagine a visit to your favorite Nana's house for lunch, take all the happiness and love and sheer joy and wrap those emotions up and pair them with some home made tortillas and gorditas placed one a plate with pica de gillo and sour cream served by a group of genuinely pleasant people working the counter. That's how I would describe my 1st trip to El Taco Rustico I am sure I will have many more in the future
Amazing place! Visited Tucson for a weekend and chose this place for dinner one night. Amazing tacos, and I appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options!
I love the food! I just am very concerned about the homeless person out back doing something that should not be done at a nice establishment.
Unfortunately, I will not return. Sorry
I had a great experience at El Taco Rustico, which started out as a food truck at the Tucson swap meet and has grown to become a popular spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos were delicious, with tender and juicy grilled meats, fresh toppings, and homemade tortillas. Everything was just a little extra good because of their cooking process, which seems to add a nice smokiness to the flavors. They also offer plenty of delicious vegetarian options. The owner, Almanza, has been cooking for almost 35 years and it shows in his passion and skill. The place is simple and cozy, with basic seating and friendly service. I highly recommend El Taco Rustico for anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal.
Annoyed that i didnt get the Gordita i paid for, Rest of the food was ok; A bit pricey for what it was.
Best quesabirrias I've ever had, and a spectacular sunset was the cherry on top of a great night. Stopped in for Sonoran restaurant week, and this place exceeded my expectations. While the place is small and unassuming, the flavor here is anything but.
Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food was drool-worthy.the consomme had a sweet spiciness to it that was really unique, and the Spanish rice was also delicious and had a great almost smoky flavor. We also tried some pollo asado sopes and they were amazing! The meat was really tender, just the right amount of salty and citrusy, and the sopes tasted really fresh. The avocado salsa they give you is a perfect addition. Don't forget to get a lemonaica aguas frescas, and some dessert!
The menu is large and easy to customize what you want. We'll be back!
This taco shop used to have the best el pastor tacos a few years ago. Went the other day and was not impressed with the food. Chicken tacos were very dry and the el pastor was over done. Service is good and the people working were nice. Just not happy about the food.
I just so happen to stumble upon this place and I’m so glad I did! Came here two days in a row with my mom and daughter it was so good, im not from here and super jealous we don’t have this place back at home. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are fair and the employees are delightful. Come eat here! You won’t regret it!
