4I have been visiting EL Tiradito Shrine since the 80s it’s always been a very special and sacred space always and every time I visit. I have celebrated many peoples life’s there though out the past 40 years personally. Have left many notes in the walls, many candles, photos and prayers. It’s always been a very comfortable outdoor place I have years and years of memories there. It’s casual and sacred all at the same time
The place where I experienced my first photo shoot and also the place where I proposed to my now fiancé
The only Christian shrine that I know of dedicated to a couple of sinners. The story reminds me of Candyman.
Strange and interesting historical place.
Lots of personal gestures and monuments to people that have passed recently. The paintings and the old well were unique. A quick stop here to take in some of Tucson history is well worth a visit while touring the city.
