Very unresponsive to workers. Just remember it's a staffing agency so the assumption is to undercut you.

This place helped me with everything I needed to do. Mando in the office was very detailed to what positions they had available. From what time, to pay, to the kind of work I would be doing in the location. Was very professional never made me feel uncomfortable, they are very welcoming.

Professional and helpful staff, helped me to update my resume and took a serious interest to find employment to meet all my needs. I do recommend.

Elwood staffing shorted me 10 hours once on my paycheck. They didn't geta hold of me until a week later and made me go through awhole process acting like they done nothing wrong. Elwood also don't do holidays pay even though the company offers holiday pay the agency itself doesn't provide it.

Applied for an IT job through Elwood. After showing up to the office and proceeding to go through the entire onboarding process ahead of time, about a week later, I was called and told that I had gotten the job, and I would start on Friday, which was the one Friday that didn't work, so they changed it to Monday. Fine.

Then, I realized that I had never gotten any information about the actual company the job was for. Who it was, where it was located, the hours I would work, my pay rate, none of it. So I called back and was told that the company had not actually decided on a start date yet, and they could not confirm what my pay rate or position would be, but they would find out "quickly".

It took another week for them to find this information out. Turns out, the incompetent one that submitted me for the job, put me in for a position I never applied for, at a pay rate that I had previously told them was far too low to be acceptable.

TL;DR These people don't know what the hell they are doing. Look elsewhere if you want a staffing agency, anywhere but here.

Apply online, bring your updated resume, 3 references and come to the office ready to accept a position. Jolene and the crew are delighted to help with job placement. They are upfront with you regarding positions that are construction, industrial, short term, long term. Back ground checks, no background check positions. Please be upfront with them because a criminal background doesn't disbar you from your career job. FYI! Companies trust Elwood. Elwood has several opportunities where you work for 90 days and then you are directly hired on with a major pay increase with excellent benefits.
FYI- if you are new to the valley area. Come to work everyday and you will get promoted on any job here. Attendance is huge. Give them a try they are great. 0

I recently relocated to Arizona and I was highly skeptical of using a staffing agency! However, Elwood Staffing has proved to be so much more than a staffing agency that just placed bodies into assignments. Sara helped me tweak my resume as well as prepare me for job interviews. I turned around and had a position in less than a week! The ladies in this office are very friendly and welcoming. I’ve been contacted by other agencies but their follow through has been non existent. Highly recommend Sara at the Mesa Branch!

In other states temp agencies are great in Arizona temp agencies like this one only waste your time if I could give no stars I would! Got told they dont care whether or not I find a job, that they only care about the company/clients needs they discriminate, very largely based on gender, race, and physical shape, they dont care about employees, only about their "clients". And they barely have any.

Sara will go the extra mile to assist you in creating and editing your resume, coach you through interviews and give you the support you won’t find elsewhere. Had me on a job immediately. Anything after that is up to you like any job. Most of the complaints on here doesn't make sense at all. People who are use to working wouldn't complain as much. My brother came in from out of state. Was here about 2 weeks applying to multiple jobs, went to elwood and had a job in just a few days. Great customer service and they have been very communicative through phone calls, emails, and texting. I don't normally do reviews but I was satisfied enough to do this one.

Really friendly staff, very helpful with training, very excellent at checking in on their employees making sure they are doing well, manager of Mesa Elwood was very helpful with placing for permanent positions.

Excellent staffing agency. They found me a position very quickly after I moved down here.
As expected with all temp agencies I had to go through their hiring process, but they made it fast and painless. Would highly recommend.

Not the place you want to go.they make you sign alot of things over the internet and watch so many videos that by the time your half way you just want to blow your brains out.p. S.they do swab tests right then and there.and background checks too! They go way too far just to get you another dead end job.not ever worth your time.p. S.the whole hiring process takes about 5 or so hours and you wont be called for about 2 or 3 days until you background check comes back.and after that who knows how much longer.

They gave me job immediately which. I'll give credit for that but telling me that I'm not edible to work because I was let go for a purpose but telling me I walked out which that ever happened. Also bringing up my probation in March last yet I wasn't even in Arizona then and did find my probation. This explains why this office is rated a 1.5 rating.

Terrible service. Not a morning person at all and the both times I had to call and cancel. My bad for working night shift my whole life and not being able to make it to an interview at 10am. The general manager was terrible. Inconsistent and rude. Demoted. This agency is clearly getting run done. Don't ask me questions that seem to better understand where I'm coming from. You say I'm wasting your time by making an appointment but how popular are you with a 1.7 star. Don't ever waste my time again.

This staffing company is a joke. They don't have a ton of jobs to offer and they are very disorganized inside their office. I went to their office to sign up and they couldn't even get me logged into their system to complete my registration. Then I applied for a position, and rather I get a call from my recruiter telling me that they will not hire me, I had to keep calling them to find out what is going on. They have a horrible lack of communication.

Worst temp agency yet by far. Doesn't even deserve one star. Put me on a probation because I didn't want to go back to a job lifting 75 pound carpet rolls by myself. So Kelly lied and said I had a no call no show and put me on 90 probation. Don't waste your time.
