Emergency Room at Arizona General Hospital - San Tan Valley, AZ

Unfortunately/fortunately I have been here a few times. Each time was a great experience. I am a patient with difficult diagnosises and been treated with understanding and respect. If I need urgent medical care I will only come here.

I went to this ER at 1: 45am because I woke up with trouble breathing and coughing uncontrollably after being sick for a few days. I told the dr. I felt tired, my chest hurt and I felt like I wasn’t breathing well. I told her I was coughing up yellow Mucous and was concerned about an infection or bronchitis. My number for blood oxygen was ok and flu and Covid came back negative. She told me to take honey and that the cough is okay. I had to request a prescription for an inhaler as she refused to treat any of the symptoms I was telling her about. Coughing is not okay if you have lung issues. The next day I continued to feel bad and I went to an urgent care. He prescribed a nebulizer machine, nebulizers, steroids and antibiotics. I was diagnosed with a lower respiratory infection and the dr said there was significant wheezing. I haven’t been able to work all week because of how bad I feel and how affected my lungs are. If someone comes to the ER in the middle of the night try to help them on some capacity. I understand their tests came back negative but clearly I had an issue going on and needed help.

Had a recent knee replacement which I injured. My surgery was done in Oregon.
My Doctor wanted blood work and X-rays. Went to ER and the doctor refused to do blood work. When asked what I should do, his response was that’s the problem with being a snowbird. Minimal exam, no stability exams. Flying back to Oregon to see my surgeon. Will never go back to this facility.

Nurse CJ was very nice and did a great job getting me through the pain! Dr. Rhoton communication with me was clear and explained what my symptoms were! Cynthia made me feel comfortable when getting a ct scan! Nicole was helpful from the beginning of the process n the end! Thank you team at dignity health!

I went in a week ago after having high fevers for days coupled with body aches and overall malaise. I was not coughing or wheezing. They refused to do blood work even though I asked them to run a panel as I believed I had an infection. They swabbed for flu and covid, both negative. They diagnosed me with an acute upper respiratory infection, even though I had zero coughing or congestion.
Well, a week later I'm inpatient at Banner with a raging kidney infection coupled with a UTI and sepsis. If they'd only done the blood work I'd asked, I would likely not be in this position. I won't use them again.

Horrible experience! If you need to find an emergency room don’t come here! The doctor is extremely dismissive and very rude. I went to a different emergency room with the same issue and the doctor was very attentive and was able to help me out. I will say the nurse was very kind and more helpful than the doctor was.

This is the Worse ER I have EVER been to. The Dr. Don't fully examine you and then say go to Walmart and get some medicine. I have been to a few Dignity clinics and I must say (I Do Not Like Dignity) But this 1 in San Tan (by Walmart) is the WORSE. I don't know why they still open, or No one has went there to find out what's going on. I should have known when my friend Went and she told them her daughter couldn't really see, and he told her because she woke her up out her sleep (WTH!) It's So Sad. And I'm MAD I had to give them 1 star, They didn't even Deserve 1 Star

I went in at 3am, no one else was there so I expected they wouldn't be in a rush. The doctor only put the popsicle stick in mouth said you have a virus in my throat, and that was it. They didn't even do the routine where they check your weight and stuff. I have a stuffy nose and a cough. No medication. No test were done. I'm really disappointed in my visit. Wouldn't recommend coming here even if no one else is waiting. Even the nurse joked about me having a virus before the doctor even came, which makes me think they didn't even care to really check me out because "everyone has it. " I have a baby at home who I can't hold because I don't want her to get sick.

Went to this location for the first time last week. My sisters family had been there and had great experiences each time. Needless to say my experience wasn’t the same and I was not happy with my visit. The Dr there made me uncomfortable with how she treated me basically asking what test I wanted her to run even though it may not tell me what was wrong. Told her I guess we could start with flu/covid tests and blood work. When she came in to give me the flu/covid results I asked about blood work since they didn’t draw any blood and her response was “we can do it I’m here all night. ” She barely examined me her bed side manner was horrible and the list goes on. I went there because I was sick I don’t go to ER’s for fun I try to avoid them it’s the Dr’s job to try and help their patients not make them feel worse in other ways. 2 days later when I got into my primary Dr even he rolled his eyes at their paperwork and told me the notes were horrible and told him nothing. My sister’s husband took me and even he was shocked since they had great experiences when they had gone.

Went in for chest congestion and coughing and the lady at the front desk acted like I had no business being seen. Some people shouldn’t work with sick people. I was so upset I was getting ready to leave but they called me back so I stayed. Not a good impression. Good doctor and the X-ray tech was awesome!

Went in and stood there. There was nobody to talk to. Not a sound anywhere. Walked out. Very strange.

Hands down best medical clinic around, great staff.

Went in with medical concern on two trips two different times, within the same week.

Both times were excellent and really made patients comfortable and pain free to the best of their ability.

The doctors and medical staff were great.

Worst experience. Doctor Isabel is a cruel doctor. He makes you feel like you're in his way and you are inconvenienceing him. He contradicts his information, very poor at explaining medical information when you have to request more information because he assumes we can read his mind. Extremely disappointing experience and quite frankly a waste of time. Soon as he came in the room, we requested for him to leave the door open because my husband was experiencing extreme anxiety, and a panic attack. The doctor immediately went into a confrontation mode and explained how he doesn't treat anxiety and thought that the policies about the door being opened was more important than listening to the patient. This man is very disconnected from emotion and lacks the integrity and respect of being a doctor. Very sad experience

Absolutely a great experience. I was treated quickly, and shown so much kindness and respect from incredible staff. Huge thank you to Donella and Dr. Graff who made my experience worth it! You two are great!

My complaint is I've been here too many times! They might have a voodoo doll of me for repeat customer. Regardless, amazing service and professionalism all around. Now, can I please not see you guys for at least a year?

I recently 8/15/2023, had to go to the emergency room and I was very impressed from the moment I walked in. It started with the check in staff who was very professional, nice and friendly. I was called back to a room after waiting maybe 5 minutes in the lobby. The nurse, I'm sorry I cant remember his name, was very friendly and also nice. I had to get a CT and the Rad Tech was very helpful and saw that I was in pain so didn't let me walk without her assistance. She also was great at trying to get my mind off the pain that I was feeling. Jeff Flack NP explained everything in detail and answered any questions that I had. Everybody had great bedside manner. I do not like going to the ER because you are always waiting but this time I was impressed and very thankful that I did go.

First, I'm shocked at their 2.9 rating! I went there yesterday for an emergency and they took me right in, ran tests, and I was out in under 3 hours. Every single person I interacted with from check in to the doctors and nurses were caring, polite, and on the ball. I've also taken my mother here when she broke her wrist. Same great treatment then as well. I would not hesitate to use them again. Don't let their rating deter you. I highly recommend them. Thanks again for the great care shown to me last night!

My husband took my son here because he got his head cut open with a rock. He had no idea this tiny place bills as though they are a hospital and even worse than a hospital. We had to pay $2000 for 2 staples that took 5 min to put in. That’s all the service given. Now over a year later we are getting another bill in the mail for the doctor fee over $400. It’s beyond us where the $2000 went for him being there no more than 10 min. They didn’t even pay the doctor with that. Beware of this place its a scam.

Emergency room in price only. Wait times are longer than going to an actual hospital.
Prices here are also higher. Drive the extra few minutes to get better care at a reputable facility.
